Baldness vs Fat Shaming

A comedian made the following video about fat people:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXFgNhyP4-A

It just points out the silliness of the PC fat crowd.

Look at these two responses:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1VUrOxRUsE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20It-Z8qJKI

Observe the effects of one negative video amidst the ubiquitous bald acceptance sea...

And compare how bald people are mocked. The rogaine ad which implies that no matter what we do, we'll be inferior to the fullheads due to something we had no control over, due to a genetic quirk. There were no hair camps. No hair diets. No hair exercise routine. Zero backlash against bald shaming.

Men have no value in society.

We feel just as deeply. We can't even show the hurt. We have to hide out in forums like HairLossTalk.com.

I want to punch something.

Lolz at that fat girl going all melodramatic. Yeah, fat is BAD for you. It literally KILLS YOU. What other reason do you want to do something about it? You are going to cost the health care system a lot just because you can't stop eating.

And the other girl, insists on the "stop being fat". Yeah, you can stop being fat, it's possible, it's easy, it's FREE, absolutely anyone can do it.

I can't believe this PC crap. If a guy cried about being NW7 in his early 20s, he will get ****ing destroyed, medieval style torture on his ***.

U didnot understand Rogaine ad.
Rogaine ad is not insulting bald,
It is showing how bald are insulted in love life..

It happened to me,the crush whom i liked and she also like my nature but because i would be mocked socially married a doctor like me who happened to be my distant cousin.
She was never interested in doctor field, heck marrying doctor was out of consideration, but she changed her opinion after me,and i happend to be the wingman that lead her to chose a doctor whom she would never had married if i didn't come in her life.
She first rejected all docs before meeting me,even told her father that don't bring any medical professional marriage proposal. She wanted to marry engineer first.

Rogaine ad shows pain of few people..

It may be a bit off topic, or is it? But I've just remembered something from an episode of How I Met Your Mother. I didn't want to create another topic for it.

Well, in this episode, Ted imagines himself in the future being a complete loser who failed at life, calling the number on the yogurt package to ask for a refund.

And guess what:

FP37E6T.jpg

Of course they had to make him bald! How else would people understand that he became a loser?

They wouldn't have dared to make him fat anymore. Bald shaming is the last bastion of political incorrectness.

And this was the most popular sitcom on TV at a point. Don't tell me it doesn't have an influence on people's minds.

Sorry off-topic but where would you rate this fella on the norwood scale?

Men have no value in society.

We feel just as deeply. We can't even show the hurt. We have to hide out in forums like HairLossTalk.com.

Men's health is undermined, and men often live five years less than women. Men are three times less likely to have seen their GP than women. Men are also three times more likely to die from prostate cancer than a women from breast cancer despite effecting both at the same rates due to lack of funding, and funding for breast cancer is over 600 percent greater than for prostate cancer. There are seven health agencies for women, not a single one for men. A search for over 3,000 medical journals which were listed in Index Medicus found that 23 articles were written for women's health while only 1 written on men's health. Obviously CaptainForehead, the bias against men in our times is impossible to not take notice of.

Men aren't allowed to complain about anything, if we do, we get condemned. I often feel that all we do is only work just to pay bills and taxes, anything else for ourselves is suppressed. Let alone with hair loss, we're told straight to our faces that it doesn't matter and to just get over it.

Fat shaming is a ridiculous concept. I hear people say "take your fat shaming comment and replace the word 'fat' with the name of a race and you will see why it is wrong"... what a ridiculous comparison. It's a self imposed disease. No one is born fat, people CHOOSE to be fat. No one is fat because of genetics... anyone who says they are fat because of genetics and not because of simple overindulgence is lying to themselves. The concept that someone can become obese from literally anything other than overindulgence defies everything we know about physics and biology. I guess I just don't get why they get so upset when people say things like "hey maybe you should cut back on the food intake"... I mean a heroine user might get genuinely upset/their feelings hurt when you say they should quit but that doesn't change the fact that heroine is bad for you, much like an overindulgent lifestyle is. Glorifying this factually unhealthy lifestyle is inherently harmful - if kids grew up knowing how bad it is for you then maybe 35% of the US wouldn't be obese. I have a feeling of pure dread when I imagine future generations where being fat is not only accepted, it is embraced. Everyone will die pre-middle age of heart disease and be restricted to hover carts by the time they're hitting puberty. It will be like the people in the movie Wall-E.

By comparison, bald men have no choice. We actually are victims of genetics. It is completely outside of our control whether or not we have Androgenetic Alopecia.. some may choose to treat it with medications but that doesn't always work. And yet, we are mocked like we did something wrong and no one bats an eye at the reality of the horrible things they're saying.

There are certain conditions where you can become fat. Cushings, Hypothyrodism to name two. Anyone on steroids prescribed by their doctor. Most of the time, it's self imposed.

These conditions make up a tiny, tiny... almost statistically insignificant... of the cases of obesity. Even in those cases, in an otherwise healthy individual it is not going to lead to the severe obesity that so many of these body positive people try to use these conditions as a justification for. A person who puts on 20 lbs because of their thyroid is not comparable to a 400 lb behemoth who happens to have issues with their thyroid. It's shifting the blame onto something other than the main issue, overindulgence.

Its not that i dont see people dissing bald people in programs or whatever, i just dont care. Look around you, look long enough you will see people dissing all sorts, its just baldness is on your mind so you "see" it more, you look out for it etc.

Also the people who play Shelson etc dont write the script, the writers obviously do, and one is balding called Steven Molaro. He was also producer etc in the show and has been there since day one.

The whole point of the show is that they made fun of for the things they do and say, they even take the mick out themselves, lighten up, sure some people are jerks but some are just joking.

Apparently she does not believe men deserve the same.

Obesity can be due to depression too..people who are sad need to take more efforts to lose wt because of metabolism rate changes and lack of intrest in doing excercise due to depression.

You seem to be content to be viewed as an inferior human being, Danny. Good luck to you, but it pysses me off.
We have NO control over this, yet we are expected to be grateful for a life of being mere amusement for the privileged full heads.
Amusement at best, scorn and ridicule at worst.

You may be able to smile through this. Ya know, play the role society has pegged for you. Don't play up and challenge the status quo in any way. Just be a good boy, baldie.
We will laugh at you when we need a good laugh, we will speak to you when we need anything.
So just shut up and stay out of our way unless your called for. Got it?

This is how society treats bald me.
I cant smile through it. **** em all!!!

I am suicidally depressed more often than I am not and I have never had an issue losing weight. Changes in metabolism do not account for obesity on the scale we are talking about. A few extra lbs? Sure. But if you're 50+ lbs overweight the reason is overeating, bottom line.
