Could I Just Be Maturing Early Or Am I Balding ?

So basically as of now I am only 15. I noticed my hairline started receding in 6th grade and it receeded to a certain point and stopped at around 7-8th grade. I am now in 10th grade and I think it looks the same but maybe I’ve lost some or gained some idk. As for thinning, I haven’t really noticed any as my hair has never really been thick and it’s always been on the thinner side. Crown is also looking good too. Balding does not run in my family at all as most of my uncles from both sides of the family keep hair into their 40s. My dad has been diffuse thinning since he was around 40 and now he’s 50 but Atleast he still has a near juvenile hairline lol. My HALF brother with Down syndrome receeded early and still has hair at 24. He seems to have a Norwood 2-2.5 (I can post his hairline since I do believe I’m following his pattern.) but yeah just thoughts on if I’m maturing or receding lol first pic is my juvenile hairline, second is my hairline in 7th grade and then I’ll show my hairline now.

i dont think you can mature so early? You say you started receding in 6th grade. What, were you 12? That sounds like you started losing hair the moment you hit puberty. I cant imagine what itll be like in your twenties, sorry.

where did you hear this? I think losing so much hair like you have before 20 is a bad sign.
It’s the first thing that pops up if you search up if it’s normal to mature before 17. I’ve also seen a lot of guys talk about how they thought they were gonna bald before 18 but ended up staying With the hairline so idk I’m tryna be positive LOL

I doubt you will be bald by 18. The moment you hit 18 you can get yourself on treatments if you want.

A common misconception is that an early start is a sign of how aggressive it is. That's wrong. How bad it is and how fast it is is a sign of aggression. Guys can stay Norwood 0 til their 30 and just start going fast. There are also dudes who get bad norwood 3's at their 20s and stay there.

it is much more common for a norwood 3 to go bald than a man who stays norwood 0 till he's 30. Actually how early it starts and how aggressive it is could definetly indicate it is aggressive, his hairline has receded a lot for someone under 25. Most men who stay norwood 0 till 30 will likely not ever go bald, sure i already know youre gonna find a few exceptions and probably post them here. And getting a norwood 3 in your twenties, thirties or forties is bad and can indicate futher hairloss while norwood 0 is healthy and gives you a high chance of not losing it. Stop spreading misinformation and acting like youre totally right. Youre saying that literally going to a norwood 2 at age 13 doesnt mean its agressive? Dht levels are much lower at this age and id you lose a significant amount of hair with low dht it definetly indicates even more and more aggressive hairloss once other hormones start to dominate.

Lmao, DHT levels are lower post puberty especially after 30. You really do not know your science. DHT spikes happen at puberty to boost height and genital growth.

no at age 12 you should not be going to a norwood 2. Your comment was stupid. Even at age 20 you should not be norwood 2. I think even losing your rounded hairline and going to a straight hairline at a young age is a bad sign let alone going to a norwood 2.

Bro, are you serious? You're projecting your own definitions of what good looking is vs. science. Some people are genetically destined to be norwood 2 or 3. They'll get there quicker depending on how their hormonal profile is. Do you seriously think all people with male pattern baldness are destined to be NW5-7? You seriously don't know what you're talking about. Genetics predetermine everything. It'll unfold regardless of age because those follicles are already coded to be sensitive to androgens. Will Arnett hit NW3 in his 20s and stopped there. Stop the broscience.

NO! NO! NO!

My guess is you receded very early and are coping

Will arnett is most definetly on treatments which is probably why his remaining hair isnt thinning out.

i didnt say if your are norwood 2 or 3 you will be completely bald. I said receding very early means you 99% will.

Jude law started receding early, look at him. If you look at most norwood 1's. They all had fairly rounded hair rounded hairlines even into their twenties or maybe around age 18 or 19 minimum. But they lose their rounded hairlines later and not age 13.

Anything can happen in puberty. And why the f*** would Will Arnett take treatments and not a transplant? He's definitely not on anything. Just because you heard guys like Ashton Kutcher take avodart doesn't mean every celebrity is. Early bloomers exist. People who grow taller, lose hair earlier. Their growth and loss isn't predetermined by measurements of time. No two grows and loses hair in one uniformed fashion.

I didnt say every celebrity is on treatments. Actually i always speak out against people on this site who always say celebrities with hair are on treatments. Anyway, take or leave what i said. Receding to norwood 2 at age 13 is a bad sign imo.

In your opinion. You know what that means? I just said there's no scientific basis for that. I didn't discount your opinion. It's not fact lol. And to throw the whole cope sh*t at me when I'm not even NW2 is funny.
