I agree but overall, you have better hair than guys on here a decade younger. You will never be beyond a NW3 if you are proactive. And you have great density and hair characteristic if you need a transplant. You are in better shape than most of these guys. Not at all - look over historical posts and you will see how the camera can be deceiving!
I def have seen a decline in coverage around the crown though I feel and worry finasteride has stopped working and I’m en route to the Norwood I should have been had I not taken finasteride 0.5mg daily the past 4 years …I've seen your baseline pics and I don't think you have lost anything from the crown since you started taking finasteride, or so little that it's barely changed much. Now you're taking pics of your crown in all kinds of angles that make it look worse than your baseline photo even though nothings changed. Your hair is great for a 34 year old, I don't think you need to worry as long as you keep taking finasteride. It's not gonna suddenly fall out within months.
your hair looks normal to most people on this forum..... Only you will know if you are thinning or not from those pics, from the texture/feeling/shedding etc of your actual hair.I know lots of you think I’m a pain in the arse but I just looked under bathroom lighting when I got in this evening and I definitely think there’s
thinning going on … I’m on month 3 of 1mg a day of finasteride after taking 0.5mg a day for the past 4 years …
I have a similar crown that has stayed that way for over a decade with treatments. With just a few sprinkle of hair fibers that spot will be concealed. That is all you can do for now. It’s on this side it’s most evident
I told you before I thought it was thinning. I still stand behind that.I don’t want to go down the hair fibre route … call me lazy but it’s too much mess etc …
Would you say it’s thinning then?
I noticed crown thinning in those old pics you posted of your hair at the start of finasteride. Take a picture in the same lighting, with the same hair length and at the same angle as your baseline crown pic to properly compare. If it has got worse, min would probably help with regrowth.Anyone else have any advice ?
This is a good suggestion however that was the older iPhone and 4 years ago so camera quality has improved so much on the one I now use …I noticed crown thinning in those old pics you posted of your hair at the start of finasteride. Yep it's early thinning, but it doesn't look worse than your baseline pic to me though. My crown looks exactly the same as yours, I have the exact same crown whirl too. Here are some stills where I took a vid of my hair under bath lighting … in the same video ffom diff angles you can see thinning and in the last pic I move the hair near the crown slightly so you could see how easily scalp is revealed ..
