mrOscar sent me this study. I'm reevaluating the use of ketoconazole.
Haven't read the full study, but it's about itraconazole, not ketoconazole. Or are the results presumed to be similar with keto?

At any rate, the mechanistic knowledge is valuable, but as far as claims that keto may be detrimental to hair growth, empirical studies that show the opposite is true trump mechanistic arguments.

It is of interest that ketoconazole, another azole antifungal, has been used as second line therapy for androgen independent metastatic prostate cancer (Scholz et al., 2005; Trump et al., 1989) at doses 3–6 fold higher than its normal dose and with toxicities greater than those for high-dose itraconazole (Sugar et al., 1987). The use of ketoconazole in this context is believed to act by inhibiting androgen production, but we cannot rule out the possibility of an effect on Hh pathway activity.

It's just a hypothesis

I'll be willing to use sonic hedgehog agonist/smoothened agonist if someone can show me what equipment I need to make this at home and a reliable source for the powder. If someone can guide me on that I'll happily use the agonist along with derma stamping on my hairline / outside my hairline to induce neogenisis and yes I'll take pictures and videos and update yall!

I really don't want want to go the hormonal route at all, I would like to stay a male and not get gyno or become infertile ( no offense to you men that went the hormonal route! It definitely takes heart to go that route and I understand why - estrogen definitely stimulates hair growth in one way or another ).

I'm well aware of the risk of cancer and things like that by stimulating this pathway but this is a promising pathway and seems to fix the environment of the male pattern/androgenetic dominate environment of the scalp. For crying out loud it literally grows new hair follicles...

I feel as though us bro scientists will be the ones to find a cure for this before scientist do.

Someone has to take the risk and that someone is me!
