No regrowth or velus hairs. Nope, not one treatment did anything noticeable.
And see, the problem for me is that even thought it fucks with my hair growth cycle, I otherwise don’t grow any hair. It brings back my hairline at least once a year and if I quit, then what?
I’m f*****g exhausted by this.

Her iron has been corrected already and was never that low to begin with in retrospect.

I feel like i've come back to the same realisation i had months ago.
I believe that minoxidil is causing my exacerbated shedding and is making things worse. I believe that while my hair growth is under its influence, other treatments just won't work. Before minoxidil, my "bad" sheds were 30 odd hairs in the shower. Now on minoxidil, a good day is 60 hairs in the shower. I began counting properly in October last year when i was just on minoxidil and the pill. It was almost consistently 80-120 hairs a day. I'd like to also add that i was on the pill before i took minoxidil, and it reduced my shedding. I go throuhj constant loss and regrowth on minoxidil, so it makes sense that i am in a constant state of shedding because my hair growth is rapidly cycling all the time. Problem is, i can't come off it, because it could mean the end of my hair altogether.
I am seriously considering cyclosporin.

Cyclosporin is an immune agent. You don't have autoimmune disease.

Minoxidil will not cause your entire body to stop producing hair.

By contrast the ER-alpha catagen induction issue we have reviewed now at length would very easily cause this.

I have had numerous bloods done.
I had an iron infusion.
I take THE highest dose ferretin/iron pill.
It’s not an issue.

Minoxidil ramen orally sure as hell can affect the entire body’s hair growth. Everything gets thicker and thinner in unison. It’s oral minoxidil.
I’m not delusional. Yes I realise I’m a freak case but one cannot deny that when I have been on the pill only without shedding dramas the added minoxidil and all of a sudden Im shedding like a cat and my hair only grows for three f*****g months every year, you can’t deny that the latter is the instigator of the issues.

Also I’m aware that cyclo is an immunosuppressant, but it also causes quite extreme hypertrichosis, moreso than loniten.

Cyclosporin had very poor results in the trials that have been done on hair so far. Almost no one responds to it.

It would make much more sense in my opinion to fix your estrogen problems first, especially since you know and admit you must fix the estrogen problem sooner or later.

After that if you want to experiment with toxic drugs that have a tiny chance of working at least you will have fixed the big and obvious issues first.

Your hair follicles are dying progressively over your entire body. Most likely this is ER-alpha catagen signalling. Minoxidil might cause synchronized growth cycles and sheds. That is absolutely possible.

But by fixating on this and avoiding fixing the bigger hormonal problem you are losing the forest for the trees.

Found some ovestin cream in my mums fridge when i was raiding it for baked goods today. She hasn't ever used it, it's never been opened. She said i could have it, so i'm gonna start rubbing it on my face and neck (1mg/g).

Good for you. So you have estradiol valerate and estriol cream. Still trying to get the prometrium?

I believe you can get away without the prometrium for 1-3 months so if you don't want to wait for it its not critical.

How do you plan to transition over? Ie. stop the EE/Diane?

Also that tube of estriol won't last long. You need 2-4 mg estriol twice a day if you're doing oral. I presume skin based dosing is similar.

At that rate unless it's a giant tube I doubt it will last you more than 1-3 weeks. So you'll still need a longer term estriol supply.
I’ve ordered the prometrium and it’s in its way.
I will take a continuous dose of 100mg prometrium/4-6mg estradiol, as yet undecided on estriol dose. Still trying to find a good source to buy tablets. I may buy both the cream and tablets, so I can use it on my whole hairline and face. At the moment my hair is being eaten inwards in exactly the same way it did when this all first started. I may have to shave my nape into an undercut again because it’s like a rats tail. Looks sh*t. I’ll attach a photo of how much it’s “evaporated”. The bizarre thing though is that i am sparsely regrowing dark hairs at my temples and widows peak, but nothing around or above my ears where I’ve receded. not that I can see at my nape, and I have a mostly lots of small vellus hairs growing up out of my top. There’s no reason or rhyme to any of it.

Wow, I can't comprehend how much my already terrible hairs loss has speeded up. I look f*****g ridiculous at just 22 years old...

Can't take it anymore. It's Brotzu or bust for me at this point :(

I’m so sorry. I understand totally. I feel like minoxidil makes me shed way more but otherwise I wouldn’t be growing any hair at all and nothing else seems to work.
Have you thought about trying grow factor injections or just putting it on topically after hardcore needling? You could try a course of sgf-57 and see how it goes. That’s what I plan on doing.

What growth factors do we have at our disposal really? Don't even think I've heard of Sgf-57.. And I thought I knew of all the crazy underground hair treatments!

Has any forum person tried this? Can't say I'm too impressed by the photos.

Good reddit post. Though nothing us hard core hair loss talkers didn't know already, except that the conference has been opened to everyone. Hadn't heard that myself. The people are really thirsty for something legit.

Wait wait wait... what's the price of the thing, and the device? Where did you buy each? Details!
Ok so each “pack” contains 10 vials of powder which you add saline to for meal injection. One vial is one treatment. The whole thing costs $280, and it comes with full instructions. As I say, you can inject it or you could hardcore needle then topically apply it. I’ll go for injection. I had the PDF for the full Manual on my laptop but I’ll need to wait until I get home later today to post it.

This could well be my minoxidil replacement
