Doesn't look like male pattern baldness at all. Wtf is up with the doctors in your area. Also maybe in the minority here but I actually think SMP might be good in your case if you want to start rocking a shorter buzz

My test results have all come back normal too. No issues with thyroid, iron, zinc, vit b12, d, etc.
Do you think I could have alopecia areata incognita? How does one detect this thing? Can a trichoscope pick it up?

Ur hair is supposed to show scalp that short. I'm a bit confused....... The sides I see, but the top? Idk. How was your hair longer like.

I have patchy thinning hair on the sides as well.

If worst comes to worst. You have a beard, you'll look good bald, or w a buzzcut. I mean seriously, you'll be all good. I understand if ur depressed af I am too I can't get out of bed cuz two doctors give different responses.

You're fine dude your hair is great and it's not even shedding. I genuinely think you had a false alarm.

Here's an image of what I was talking about. The barber used the same trim setting all over the side. You can see a large patch of thinning. Is this alopecia areata incognita?

Yeah. He prescribed me finasteride, min and supplements.

I'm just upset that none of the derms used a trichoscope to examine my hair. They just diagnosed me with male pattern baldness despite my hairloss not showing any of the usual signs of male pattern baldness.

I have a similar issue on the side which improved with finasteride and min.

If you need to, you can probably send your pics to someone specializing in alopecia areata. The treatments for it are usually topical steroids.
