revivogen and 0.25mg finasteride... things arn't looking great... i've been using it much longer than what revivogen claims it will work in... going onto 6 months now.... 1 month of no application in between though... my crown is definately alot thinner than when i started it.... but that was happening anyway... im starting to think even the idea of revivogen as maintenance may not be true... mabye 'slowing' but who knows.... time will tell!

Wow, I haven't been on here in a long time. I am glad to see that Revivogen finally did a study to prove their claims. I personally used Revivogen for almost a year and it worked extremely well for me including showing regrowth in the temple area. When I applied it, I used to apply it with the minoxidil dropper and made sure I got all over my scalp ( since I am a diffuse thinner). Where ever you apply it, you have to make sure that its actually applied on your scalp and not on your hair which can be difficult if you still have a lot of hair left. Then I got to a point where I just got sick of applying topicals ( the Revivogen application alone took me around 30 min each day) and just mainly stuck to finasteride and dr lee's ketoconazole from time to time. The result? After a year, my hair is still getting thinner even on finasteride and my temples have almost completely receded (and there are days where i dont bother cutting the 5mg pill and just take the whole thing.) I luckily don't have any sides, but it doesn't seem to be stopping it for me the same way that revivogen did. Therefore for me as a diffuse thinner, Revivogen was way more potent than finasteride in not only stopping hair loss but making my hair thicker. The only negative thing about Revivogen for me was the time it to took to apply it and that horrible horrible smell. I am an extremely social person, so I cant imagine going back to Revivogen as long as that smell remains. For now, I am considering using spironolactone and tricomin in conjunction with the finasteride and ketoconazole and maybe minoxidil. I hope my experience helps others.

Whats the difference between minoxidil's dropper and revivo's? I actually have longish hair so I hope I've been applying it correctly. I use more then 2 ml to try to make sure I cover enough.

Oh and as pointed out, the smell isnt bad anymore.

when i get to the bottom of the container and cant pick up any more with the dropper i tip it on my head. sometimes if i tip too much it smells too strong and makes me wanna gag haha. apart from that i like the smell... in moderation.

I hate to be so skeptical all the time but with this kind of stuff theres no real choice. Studies are not the end all be all. Theres huge differences in the quality of studies and one study by itself really does not prove a lot most of the time. Revivogen has in plenty of in vitro evidence to suggest the ingredients at least separately do have some action on hair growth. I think the study accomplishes exactly what they wanted. We are all here talking about it wondering if it really works and talking about how theoretically it should. They make money and we never really know if it works or not since it cant be proven short of a long expensive definitive study.

That being said I tried revivogen before and I dont know if it helped or not. I do know what is proven and for the money im better off wasting it on those.

Here's my 2 months report:

IT'S NOT WORKING!

I'll go for 6 months until my supplies are gone and if the results still don't show up I'm quitting the Revivogen.
Maybe it's working for some ppl, but for me it's crap.

LOL!! So you've used it for only two months, and you've concluded already that it's not working for you? :)

Think of this little scenario: suppose somebody were to go over to the Propecia forum and post something similar, like "Hey, I've used Propecia for two months, and IT'S NOT WORKING!!" Can you imagine how many people would climb all over him, telling him that he can't judge Propecia after only a couple months' use? So why wouldn't you extend the same courtesy to Revivogen? What do you expect, MIRACLES, after only two months?? :)

BTW, I don't mean for this to sound like any kind of personal endorsement for Revivogen. Whether or not it really works, or to what extent it actually works out there in the Real World, I have no idea. As I've said many times before, there's some good science behind the general idea of using topical fatty acids for male pattern baldness, but it still hasn't been tested by doctors and scientists on living human beings in a clinical setting. Until that happens, all of this is still very hypothetical and theoretical. But it doesn't help any for people to come on here and say silly things like "I've used Revivogen for two months, and IT'S NOT WORKING!!" :smack:

My main problem with revivogen is its just to expensive. I mean even if it works its so much money why use that when propecia is proven to work and is cheaper? We need a cheaper topical how about one for like 30 dollars instead of 100?

But isn't that 100 bucks for a 3-month supply, or thereabouts? And isn't the full retail price of name-brand Propecia also around a buck a day? If those numbers are anywhere close to being accurate, it looks like the prices of Revivogen and name-brand Propecia are fairly similar (yes, I know you can improve on that by using Proscar, and then cutting the pills into quarters).

Furthermore, an important reason to use Revivogen in the first place is to AVOID the side effects from oral finasteride, which some people claim to have a problem with. That in itself would be a reasonable justification for a higher price for Revivogen.

If there are no any result in 3 months, money back.
And that is exactly what I see so far...no results at all...in fact, I think it's even worse then before the treatment.
But like I said, I will go till the end of supplies(6 months)...

So, NO I don't expect any MIRACLE to happen but at least some improvement...YES!
