i know how You feel. Of all the non-FDA approved things out there, Revivogen seems the most legit to me also. Here we go!

If you're going to use rogaine...use the liquid version....foam doesn't absorb as well according to some sources I've read.

They answered my questions:

I have few questions about it and the recent study at BIOalternatives labs (http://www.regrowth.com/hairloss-remedy ... nstudy.pdf) first.
I'd really appreciate it if you can take the time to answer them...

1) This study was done on "reconstructed human epidermis". Hair follicles are, on the other hand, in dermis. Can you say anything about the inhibition of DHT in dermis due to Revivogen? Would the results in dermis be as good as in epidermis? Do you know how much of the DHT that causes male pattern hair loss Revivogen inhibits?

2) Do you know and/or can you think of any reason that the study results wouldnt be duplicated in real skin? Can we infer from this study that Revivogen is better than Finasteride or Dutasteride when it comes to hair loss?

3) Will you do more studies? Such as DHT inhibition rates in people and hair count studies? When?

Thx for you time...

Dear Chris,

Your extrapolating too much from this study. This study by design was to measure inhibition of DHT production in living human skin tissues. That is the main focus of the study and it does not clearly answer the other questions you have one way or the other.

But knowing about the tissues being used and the Revivogen delivery system we have no doubt that the same would apply to human skin. Doing the same test on actual human skin would require punch biopsy of the scalp which is painful, results in permanent loss of hair, and is considered an invasive human study by FDA which requires a great deal of paper work to be allowed. Then you have to find willing participants who don't mind loosing a piece of their scalp for advancement of science. As you can see this is not a simple task and perhaps not even doable.

As for what product is better based on this test Revivogen is a stronger DHT blocker and that is all we can say from this test alone. Although we feel that Revivogen is a better product we can not make any claims based on this test.

I'll have to ask the third question again. When are they gonna do hair count studies with a control group like Merck does for Propecia? They are a small company so this may be a lil costly though.

You are being unreasonable. The ingredients have studies on them. And then there is this in vitro study. There is SOME evidence. Given that this product has no (or almost none) side effects, it's worth a try.

Compare that with Juveline which does not even return a meaningful link with a google search.

The ingredients do, not the product. I pointed that out previously. There are plenty of other products out there with such "ingredients". Yes, that is *some* evidence. But it's silly to call it the next best thing to the FDA approved(which isn't saying much..ha) etc etc.

But speaking of unreasonable, I also pointed out that it's silly to compare things with Juveline which hasn't been out that long. Of course you're not going to get as many hits as Revivogen, which has been out for 4+ YEARS.

Sheesh..they didn't even answer all your questions, and the answers you did get didn't answer any of your specific questions. There for sure was no evidence to support the one answer, which you seemed to be asking for.

Do you believe a revivogen/ Dr. Lee topical spironolactone/ Rogaine Foam combo could have a chance at success? Or do you believe putting that much stuff on your head could make everything not work? I believe my balding pattern is most likely going to be very aggresive and finish in a norwood 6 most likely. I know even propecia would have trouble with this so I am trying to create the next best regimen.

Right now I am doing 2 foam applications a day and then a revivogen application right before bed about 3 hours after the last foam application.

I read you can apply spironolactone about 10-15 minutes after foam so I could add two sprio applications a day.

As a diffuse thinner my goal would be to hold my ground for five years but any thickening/regrowth would be an added bonus. I am banking on their being some sort of better option for baldness in five years. Even if it just means an undetectable hair piece.

i had sides with spironolactone, so somehow it was entering the bloodstream. i am going to give flutagel a shot and see how that pans out.

Jacob, any update on JuveLine?

I am interested in applying a topical that has vit-c.

The only update I have is that I'm still using it :agree: Although every other day to third day these days.

I keep forgetting to ask them if they can make it more "spreadable" btw. Maybe one w/out the zinc oxide.

Wear it at night.

If You have a late night with friends...simply put it on when You get home.

If someone truly likes You...they will accept Your choice to use the product and not think less of You.

Have confidence!

Thanks for your post! Are you using it yourself? (with success?)

I hope it isnt a mistake ordering a 6 month supply,

How come that the revivogen hype has become so much bigger in the last year? is it because of the new formula? Almost every negative review i see is prior to the release of the new formula, so that gives me hope..

I'm just afraid they find a new revolutinary ingridientfor a new formula in the next 1-2 months, and i'm playing around with the old stuff :p

Contains revivogen the excepcional product called jojoba oil?

If don't, it is possible a change in the formulation

You're quite welcome!

I am going to start using it. I think a six month supply is fine. That is often how long it takes to see results, though they can come after or before six months. Stick with it! Sometimes i feel that the reason so many people complain about a product not working is because they do not use it consistently. Some people just go through products by the month. Do not worry about being self-conscious about it. Just apply it at night. People that truly like You for You are not going to make an issue of it. You're going to be fine!

After reading several posts from revivogen users, it seems like after some time the scalp therapy can lead to some brown and oily scalp with annoying flakes... is there any possibility to avoid this? o_O

I know, eh? But the good thing is, if it works, after 12-18 months of usage, you can decrease usage to 3-5 times a week. That means we can sleep over at strangers places without having to go back home.

I've been using it for a month now. No problems so far, I think. The smell is fine. Hopefully, I'm applying it correctly (I have long hair). I do do do hope it works!

Good luck!

So, how are you guys doing? It's been 2 1/2 weeks since i started, i didn't miss one application yet. Hard to tell about the shedding, guess it's to early saying something.

How long have you guys been using it and did you notice anything yet?

Btw, i like the shampoo/thickening conditioner combo. It makes the hair look healthy and thick.
