Idk about you guys, but there definitely has to be a mid point in being horny all the time and not horny ever... killing your sex drive is ridiculous. I do agree that finasteride bumps T and can increase the sexual thoughts as it happened to me. In that case, finding the right dosage of whatever, (spironolactone,Cypro,etc..), that can give you control is the way to go.. not nuke it entirely lmao

I did hate having a high libido all the time and not being able to focus. I go through periods on dutasteride where some days my sex drive is low and other days it’s out of control. I’m honestly looking forward to being on spironolactone to have control over it
Why are you going with spironolactone over cypro or even just estradiol? All three could potentially achieve the same result of lower T...Don't all three carry similar risks for sides like gyno and very low libido?

Well, I’ve asked multiple people what brand and where they bought their Cypro and not one responded lol. So I ordered spironolactone from in-house since it was simple. Also, I have a script for oral minoxidil and spironolactone is often used with it for its diuretic effects.

I’m not looking to completely blast my test. Just lower it enough to reap the low sebum benefits.. which, surprisingly not many on Cypro or spironolactone here are talking about. But yeah, that’s mah main issueeee. And yeah, anything reducing test or even dht have those effects.

@bridgeburn Hello, It might sound hilarious but you are like a hero for me! For giving me hope that there are still other things out there which I could try out to win this almost hopeless war.

I'm 27 years old since a few months and I'm a diffuse thinner in the vertex area with a little bit regression in the temples. I've only noticed the vertex balding at the beginning of this year because I always had very long hair (girly length) so I think I'm probably balding for 2-3 years.

Roughly since october of this year I'm using the listed stuff under "my regimen" 2,5mg dutasteride (brand: avodart), finasteride 1mg (brand: propecia) and 1x 5% topical minoxidil (brand: rogaine) and every 2-3 days dermarolling with 1,5mm length. But for some reason I have the feeling that all this stuff is to weak.

Do you think that there is a decent chance of regrowing hair in the vertex area (I don't care that much about my temples) with cyproterone acetate 25-50mg every day or higher doses? And what else do you recommend to maximize my chances to regrow hair in this area? To be honest I'm a little bit afraid of the gyno risk but if that is a price I must pay to get my hair and youth back I'm more than willing to pay this price. Especially since I've heard you can remove it later with a surgery.

Thanks in advance for your time!

This may have been asked but, if you could go back to the first times of your hair loss with this mind-set, how would you fight with it? Would you get on an extreme regimen like this, or would you simply get on big three?

I think one advantage of suppressing testosterone is how it clears my mind when it comes to sexual thoughts. LOL!
Ever since I started taking finasteride 2 years ago, I've noticed how my horniness increased dramatically due to drop in DHT and rise in Testosterone.

After taking cypro and EE, the decrease in test has me feeling great. Honestly, not feeling horny all the time is freeing in some sense. I wish we males slowly evolved with our bodies using and surviving on low test.

Our ancestors needed such high testosterone in their times because they had to go out and hunt in the wild etc and needed aggression. I don't think the modern lifestyle even requires so much testosterone to survive.
Cypro is good sh*t lol. I feel better on it than off it too, I also think its slowing down my recession a bit

@Ziggyz123 In-house also sells Cypro lmao. I get mine from there

Haha the issue is there are like six different ones, Diane-35 etc.. all are around 50mg too.. how do you guys know you’re taking 12.5mg when you split it? Is it evenly distributed throughout the pill?

Diane-35 is a BCP, has like 2mg of CPA in it with EE (A powerful synthetic oestrogen), you need to get either androcur, procur, or siterone. CPA pills are made to be split so are evenly distributed.

I take Procur 50mg which is just 50mg of Cypro . the pills are well made and you need to bite it in half, it does have a break line. I'm not sure if they also do 25mg pills but I think if you're going to take it then 25mg daily is a modestly effective dose.

What dose of Cypro are you taking? Do you also take estrogen? Do you produce sperm? Are you fertile? Just asking because I am planning to get on estradiol orally.

Usually 25mg daily, sometimes 50mg. I did take estrogen for a few months at 1mg oral and 1mg topical. It made me grow boobs and didn't help my hair so I dropped it. I produce 'liquid' but I'm not fertile. It is reversible on low dosages

Yeah haha I was giving the example. But good to know they split evenly, thanks :)

You don’t take dutasteride or finasteride along with Cypro? I’m already on dutasteride, so being on a low dose of Cypro or 100mg spironolactone is what I’m shooting for. I can’t deal with gyno because I surf literally every other day in the summer lol. I’ll order some Cypro and start with 12.5 if it does infact split evenly. What has my life come to, smh.

So, if I take 200 mg of spironolactone and 2 mg estradiol orally, I may become infertile. What if take that regime for two years and then stop, will I regain my fertility ?

spironolactone doesn't cause infertility Cypro does.

Yes, but I am talking about adding estradiol 2 mg orally in conjunction with Spironolatone?
Probably won't make you infertile but I'm not a doctor, so I can't say for sure.

I am also super horny all the time. It’s a blessing and a curse. My sex life is amazing, but my life in general is sh*t because I’m constantly on this site and worrying about my hair. When I started hairloss treatment my life was great for three years but the last year has been torture.
A few weeks back I went ordered some Spironolactone and it should arrive in the next week. Hopefully in six months I will be back to having fun just in time for summer.

Is cypro more potent than spironolactone?
Will I get gyno on 50mg spironolactone daily?
Cypro is far more potent. 50mg of spironolactone is unlikely to give you any gyno.
