Aw gawd this is so sad for me to read. I can't even imagine having given up to revert to being a guy, but then I've always had severe gender dysphoria, so you might be very different in that regard. I will say, though, that I thought at one point I wouldn't have the chance at passing, so things might turn out better than you think if you stick with it.
I find that hard to believe. Did you start HRT at 23? Non-binary people are often jealous that hard-wired trans folks have everything all figured out when they start. I have to keep returning to baseline and then I end up focusing on transfeminine androgyny.

I'd say 3/10 before HRT, 6/10 now. Hopefully I can keep some of my progress
honestly i'd probably keep increasing that number if I stayed on hrt and put in effort (diet, laser, etc) but I'm just giving up. I don't want to put in all the effort just to be disappointed after.
So just stay on estrogen for your hair and don't do anything else? Worst case you'll look like a younger male with gyno, best case, well you might get better results than you believe possible right now.
Unless you feel the need to have biological children that is.

:(. I think I could end up passing but not as well as I want. My dysphoria (if I even have it, people say I do but I feel like I don't) isn't that bad. I'm not one of those people who need to become hot 10/10s to consider it a success but I don't think I could even reach 5/10.
I'll probably crack again in a few years and hate myself for losing time on HRT but those are worries for future me
I am really confused. How are you going to maintain those great gains?

I know I have some level of dysphoria, but it's also not too bad. I have little social dysphoria and no dysphoria at all over my privates. But even with such mild dysphoria compared to some other people I could no longer repress, balding and accelerating masculinization was enough to push me over the edge. Maybe I wouldn't have got on HRT now if not for this thread, but it would still come to this in the future.

If you believe you can repress and be happy then go for it, but I don't believe repression together with happiness are sustainable in the long run if somebody is dysphoric.

Everyone likes to moan but what are the costs of being bald during all working years, say 23 to 70? They might be enormous and extraordinary in terms of lost sales, promotions, getting canned etc. even though there's no functional impairment otherwise. ADHD is similar. I already had my family though but I would never go back in the sense of going off HRT permanently.

I am not repressing, I can not be trans if I do not mind my born gender.
I mean, your topic has been trending on here especially with me but regardless, "I am still in it for the hair". Some transfolks feel that I am sinning somehow by using HRT for not gender-compelled dysphoria but eh hair dysphoria is all but always entangled with gender dysphoria since we are saying we don't want the outcome our body gave us, i.e. being bald. I am still attracted to women and I am not compulsive about female clothing since partially I don't accept clothing conventions anyway. The thing is that I thought that dutasteride would maintain at least somewhat but then I found on page 7 of this thread stating that dutasteride was unable to halt baldness after going off HRT. Noah seemed to be doing okay but it might be highly variable.

When you say "do not mind" I accept that in terms of my not being embarrassed to be XY in general but I am embarrassed by the lack of politeness which seems to be a general theme on here along with the nightmare of loser-influenced fantasy which are extremely dangerous in my opinion psychologically because it's a long way down to rock bottom if a person can't maintain sanity about things like wanting to be pariahs for spiritual renewal or the stupidity of the entire loser/cuckold/racial/homosexual implications of what turns males on. You seem like a gentlemen and thanks for posting pics because that helps others but I would sleep on it before desisting from HRT and at least see if you can plan a strategy to minimize your hair reversal.

Best,
Janey

If you had started the treatment earlier, I think you would have achieved the ideal in terms of hair. But why not have breast surgery and stay on HRT, or try HRT cycles for support?

I saw your photo. You have good hair growth and you have a cute face. I'm surprised you feel so bad. You can remove your breasts and remain a handsome guy with hair - that's my plan.

I am always available via DM and Almas and S and KCMB have other experiences that might help you negotiate depression and dysphoria and how hair loss is tied up therein.

That's also what I was saying (at least publicly) even a month back. But now I'm not going to hide it anymore, I was finally able to admit I suffer some level of dysphoria. I still don't really care much about gender roles, behaving or looking like a stereotypical girl etc. but I do have dysphoria, that's for sure. I would advise you do a lot of introspection before you are truly sure that you don't mind being a masculine man, because even when we think we have it all figured out, we might be wrong. And only then when you are 100% sure, make a decision.

Well all I can say is that HRT works for hair. Here are some pics of first visible results only 15 days in.

-Zoomed it, little white hairs are getting longer.

-Other temple, marked area with little white hairs.

These areas have been bald since I was 20, so over 4 years. And now after just two weeks of HRT they are starting to grow something!

With significant baldness, the results are visible faster. With a low loss of density, the results are more difficult to notice, and with NW0 with thinning hair, in theory, you may not see them at all for more than six months. I noticed the result after 2.5 months on my frontal bald patches. They were covered in fluff along the Norwood 0 line.

Yeah, @bridgeburn looked much better after only 3 months, and his baldness was similar to mine. I hope it's the same for me and I can at least grow out enough hair to hide my crap hairline in a few months.

Those are pretty high dosages which apparently work better than low-dose estradiol which is too bad in terms of seeing results without overall feminization but given the history, probably to be expected. Is there anyone still trying low dose on here or topical estrogen only?

Minoxidil, especially oral, will make those things grow into the next phase even faster.
I might add topical Minoxidil to my regimen soon.

Yeah, about the feminization thing, it's still starting to happen quite quickly in my case, even despite my large dose. It's only been two weeks and my skin is starting to look more feminine (which I really like.) and my nipples are starting to puff up, and they hurt a bit when pressing them, especially the left nipple.

It seemed to me that the physical below the neck effects of Biestro Cream came on really fast even. What you are doing is best in terms of avoiding breast growth as you might fuse the ducts quickly at those dosages and the AA probably adds to this as well. If you get big honking tits, then you have ruined another rule of thumb and displayed how much all of this is unpredictable except in terms of tendencies.

The unpredictability makes this journey even more interesting.

Maybe my body is very responsive to Estrogen, like some people are hyper responders to Finasteride. We'll see what happens during the coming weeks and months.

Oh. Using support just makes them look more prominent again so the options are more so like camisoles and bustiers (boostyayeahs!).

The best way to hide them if they are between say B and E, is to let them sink into a fatty ribcage. Talk about the tragedy of prostate cancer often but never imply that you have it Janey, says Will, or is it me, since Janey, you are purrfect and they both agree on most things happily enough. Illeism is part of the experience because sorting through personalities is part of normalizing as one person, one personality. All of this is fascinating hair vel non.

I am far from immune to stereotypes. Every time I see that question, "Hey guys! How do you make your lace white?"

Thanks,
Brutus

Dear Brutus,

I would never wear one since I have my wig for that but trust me, you probably don't want to get it around bleach. My alter has had many a spanking related to indiscriminate use of Clorox and it hurts. It will also burn your hair so to speak, so eh, I am voting no bleach.

I wonder about becoming so inured that little embarrasses any of us in our lifelong/eternal quest for hair.

Nobody believes that last sentence but in a nice way they say, Will and Janey or shall we say that they begs to differ? Cause they in the plural means both but in the singular means more or less, non-binary to most and as even the new "he" meaning use they when you don't know what's about down there.
