Duta a very long half life. But your dosage is again half of standard. If you Androgenetic Alopecia is agressive (it is if you are balding since 17) then you can't get away with half treatment.

My suggestion is to switch to Bica so it binds to AR and blocks T & DHT. My suggestion is to check your E2 levels (free and bound) and try to figure out if you are taking enough estrogens to be in the female range> Some doctors are not updated on latest practices. So I also encourage you to check the Dr Powers sub reddit to learn more about managing your hrt.

And up the Duta to .5mg daily so it provides a safety gauge in case your T from adrenal pathway still produces too much DHT.

Re-evaluate everything in 3 months after that to figure out how to adjust dosage. Not just with visuals but also blood tests.
Okay, thank you so much for the info and for your patience, your knowledge helped me a lot. I’m gonna start with blood tests and taking duta ed instead of eod. Thank you so much again

Btw this forum is not the best to get HRT advices (mine including.) Again I am referring you to the sub reddit from Dr Powers for more info. He is kinda clueless for hair loss treatments but very good for HRT. And HRT is definitely promoting hair growth. It's only the folks not on hrt who have issues keeping their hair on their scalp (or at least that the way it should be.)

Horse pee & lollypops ? Don't knock it until you've tried it.

Are you all done squabbling now? This is a hair loss forum not a school playground.

This used to be such a great and informative thread in the early days.
It's sad that it's turned into this.

Can we try and get back on topic somehow?
Lolly pops. That's hilarious. They are almost 100 percent sugar!

Have you had any actual regrowth? Or has HRT merely enhanced the XY hair that you already had without any bald spots or recession less the side burns area?

Guys This is my hair thinning! Is it possible to recover that to full terminal hairs?? How bad is it?? What Should i use? I used fina 1 year then duta another year+ min.Now I am taking bicalutamide too ?? Should i add E2 2 mg???Can this be reversed? That is the only place i have thinning everything else is thick more i need hair
Any treatment that actually works could easily fill in that tiny bald spot. No need to be using HRT.

Add microneedling (follica protocol) and maybe tretinoid to your minoxidil foam protocol to accelerate minoxidil effects. Keep using Duta and you are all set. HRT for this is like using a bazooka to kill a fly.

Microneedling and oral minoxidil should be plenty to reverse that. With estrogen, you always have the probability of growing large mammary glands. Stick with male meds.

Nah. Microneedling heals scars and other irregular collagen patterns. How would that kill follicles? The truth is that micro needling can create both viable and new hairs in previous scar tissue.

Bicalutamide
Bicalutamide is a very strong anti-androgen often used by transgender females for whom estradiol is insufficient for feminization. It's a common cancer med and rough on the liver. Estradiol, on the other hand, transdermally is innocuous except for blood clots for very high level users. It would make more sense to put Estrogel directly on your bald spot than to use bicalutamide. Bicalutamide's effects on baldness without concomitant use of estradiol seem to be in general, underwhelming.

Estradiol is going to be the most powerful monotherapy of course. However, it seems to go systemic very easily, and doesn't spend enough time in the dermal layer to only get the localized effect. As some have suggested, you might as well take estradiol orally or inject it if you're going to do a sizeable dose of estrogel (pretty much the same with something like topical finasteride). So if we are talking topically, for a cis male who is trying to avoid the sides, bicalutamide is probably the better option - larger molecule and an epidermal carrier such as pure ethanol. Keep in mind bica will not only antagonize the androgen receptor, but it also could increase local estradiol levels.

can conjugated estrogen cause hair growth?
Some people believe that conjugated estrogens work better for hair loss and breast growth than other ingestion methods. They are easy to get and most XY's probably could get them from a female in their life. Usually they are sold as Premarin and indicated for birth control in small amounts like .30mg. CEE's are not healthy to take for a lifetime though.

I would say the chance of developing "large" mammary glands is vanishingly small for a male taking HRT after puberty. In the vast majority of cases even if one develops noticeable mammoplasia it could be addressed with keyhole or periareolar mastectomy. A much bigger concern is fertility and if one wants to start a family in the near future.

One would need to cease meds and then back up sperm. Most transgender people get breast implants but you are correct that most of those who do not seek surgical augmentation tend to be smaller than XX's. I have seen plenty of chicks with say, A cups to C cups. It would depend on the body type but smaller XY's ought to be more concerned with breast growth because it is all but impossible to hide on a petite frame.

I am sorry but I am an androgynous-identified individual who uses male pronouns for convenience.
I worship Hecate; hence Willow. I succeed to no one nor am I associated with anyone nor with any treatment in general.
