which dosage were you taking and for how long? you had hair result? the hypertrichosis disapear after stopping? thanks
Eyes and cheek swelling from Oral minoxidil

started from 1mg and dosed weekly up until i reached 5mg daily for 2-3weeks. Insane hair regrowth and density back, which to this day is still here like 98% of it and im not using any minoxidil anymore, kept all my gainz over all even though everyone said "minoxidil gainz cant be maintained without minoxidil". Hypertrichosis stopped progressing but stayed on the same level for a good month before slowly reverting back to my original state. Right now theres still some evidence of oral min on my face and body in terms of hair that wasnt there before but the chunk of it has cleared up. Most noticeable was the connected temples-eyebrows which has almost cleared out completely.

Those are great results especially in such a short time
Why didn’t you go back on but on much smaller dose?
How long has it been since you stopped?

If that’s the case then spironolactone must’ve been working pretty darn well.
Are you referring to inflammation or water retention? With regards to water retention, anytime you consume a drug that’s prone to giving you water retention/oedema you can exasperate the side effect by not drinking enough water and consuming salty foods, and you can help the matter by drinking gallons of water a day and cutting out the salt

I hope you keep your gains bud. Even if you have to take 1mg a day in order to keep your gains might be worth it (if you can avoid the side effects at such a low dose). But I understand, water retention in the face is a b!tch

great result! you had hypertrichosis with 1mg? how long before you noticed the unwanted hair?

There were so many sides that I almost felt like one of those anti-finasteride guys but I gave it a year. I shed to baldness which if anything propelled me forward since I know that oral spironolactone is virtually always great for hair. So when it all came out as I have posted many pics of on my thread last week or so, I knew it was a "benevolent" shed. I raced through beard removal as quickly as I could so that I could wear my wig and not have it look ridiculous like in the movie "Some Like it Hot" where they always have guys in wigs with five o'clock shadow. I was like, nope, this is hard enough. Beard removal might have helped my hair and it ended up finally ending my facial dermatitis which was just terrible, face and scalp with recurrent rashes and sores. DHT sucks just about as hard as possible: acne, hair loss, dandruff, etc.
It is pretty hot here so when I was on spironolactone, I would show up for court sweating all but uncontrollably. The worse effects were on strength and fatigue. I couldn't get the lawn mower to start. I couldn't open the jar of pickles, I was exhausted from walking stairs and I was one of those never take the elevator people and I am probably forgetting a couple of other things. For maybe a third of MtF's, they tolerate it fine, but oh yeah, it destroys libido for many people entirely. I tried recently to titrate a few doses and that yucky feeling came right back. The issue with my hair is that spironolactone worked too well and many of the XY's using it on Bridge's threads seemed to have bad reactions to bica, spironolactone and CPA. I prefer medroxyprogesterone and P4 because I can't feel any sides at all and they do both lower T some without being complete receptor binders. I just have kept taking pictures all through this going back to May of 2015 because I deep down knew that all of this was going to be beneficial to me, hair-wise, physically and psychologically.
If a guy cuts me off in traffic, I used to shake my fist with the best of them but that ends up being an exhausting mind-set. Now I just let them in. It's safer for me in that it's better to have them in front of me instead of behind. There's a real peace of mind that comes with HRT for many of us and physically, my tissue turnover save bone, seems complete. I had my throat surgery last week and they still have me medicated so maybe I am gushing too much but so many things have turned out for me and I know how life-changing resolution of both body and mind dysphoria can be.

noticed them after a week, i take extremely close up pics with an endoscope and i think at 1mg it was minimal

Did you notice any water retention or swelling with the lower doses between 1mg-2.5mg?
I never knew doctors actually prescribed this to cancer patients after being treated with chemotherapy. This stuff is powerful in terms of hair growth
yes, even at 1mg water retention and collagen inhibition was visible

Any form of minoxidil, liquid or solid, will have same side effects
yes and yes, topical i was still using along with oral

by collagen inhibition did you mean more foreahead wrinkles or only pufiness and overall creepy skin? unfortunnatel for me i can't avoid those sides i've been back on minoxidil for a few monh both ora ad topical and i look like a baloon
