Finally the herb for baldness has grown, what astonishment "coffee is identified as the cause".

Coffee gives me constipation, instead of going to the wc and spending ~5min it takes over 15min, thanks for reading.

You're meant to use caffeine topically, not consume it orally if you're looking for hair benefits. See the video link I posted above.

I will say this after further consideration:
Drinking coffee has a PH level of 5.5 which is below 7.2 PH norm. Therefore one puts the body under stress each time they drink coffee.. Green tea has a PH level of 7.2 or higher. No stress.
Also green tea has 1/3 the caffeine.
Caffeine applied topically to scalp is different from systemically consuming caffeine. What may appear true in a Petri dish may not be true injesting it into a human being.
What happens when we drink coffee.
We start to stress the body, the adrenals, we raise androgens, therefore increasing sebum.. perhaps filling the pores of hairs, solidifying & strangling blood flow/nutrients. So for the everyday coffee drinker this process is 24/7.. No break for pores to naturally clear debris.
So I will give up coffee and drink green tea instead & see if the doctor’s theory is valid.

I wont lose this

Anyone who believes the OP has rocks in their head. I can smell that BS a mile away.

The cause of male pattern baldness is DEFINITELY NOT COFFEE.

I wonder... if I stopped drinking coffee to avoid my hair loss progression, what would I drink in the morning?! Because what is left is:

Milk - People say it increases inflammation therefore hair loss;
Tea - It also contains caffeine, so it would basically have the same impact as coffee

Water? Nah, no way

Coffee is full of antioxidants which are definitely good for hair...however the high caffeine which raises cortisol and therefore sebum production may not be so good.

I doubt I'll ever give up coffee, love it to much and to many health benefits so the key for me is to control cortisol. Magnesium supplements before bed (also good for hair and reducing calficfication) and camomile tea before bed both reduce cortisol.

Probably a lot of other stuff does as well. Best of both worlds!

It's definitely not coffee. I've never heard anything so dumb in my life.

It would be so easy to verify if it was ... just compare cultures who don't drink coffee to those that do, even today. Let alone historically. How much coffee did Julius Caesar drink? Coffee only reached Europe in the 17th Century and wasn't widely adopted until after that. Men were going bald well before then. lol.

Although I don't believe it causes hair loss, I might agree with the fact that increases sebum production and therefore inflammation (?). I've been drinking coffee that consistently since I was 15, so that could be the reason why I, almost in middle 20's, have breakouts here and then. Not to mention the bumps I get on my scalp sometimes along with itchiness, always on the same spots.

I'll start from today my journey without coffee, but I'm aiming go at most 15 days without beverages related to coffee. If I see any difference on my scalp and face, I'll report.

Water only from now on!

It's a load of nonsense. Don't drink coffee if you don't want to. But not for this reason.

They make shampoo and other hair supplements WITH caffeine in them FOR hair loss.

I dont know what OP's agenda could be, but the suggestion that baldness is caused by coffee is beyond ridiculous. If you'll believe that, you'll buy any snake oil.

I've never been a big coffee drinker. And my hair is much worse than the paranoid NW1's that seem to dominate this crazy forum.

Maybe it just speeds up male pattern baldness.

Maybe eating cauliflower "speeds up male pattern baldness".

Much like coffee, there is zero good evidence to support that claim.

If you're going to act on every dodgy random post making snake oil claims on a hairloss forum you'll drive yourself crazy.

I have zero doubt that worrying about your hair 24hrs a day and flying head long down every rabbit hole that pops up "speeds it up" much more than coffee. Which is still probably next to nothing.

One possibility would be to mix coffee with liquid minoxidil, hoping that the two effects more or less cancel out.

@BurningCoals Definitely closer to the bottom tiers of the iceberg.

Well coffee as in caffeine put stress on the Body. Thats why u feel so alert when u drink it. Even Redbull can give you a heart attack if you drink enough.

I agree with you that dropping coffee won't help anyone's hair battle. I do think increased sebum is a part of the overall problem for some people though, and cortisol from many things including coffee won't help this. It's negligible though imo, and I won't be stopping coffee anytime soon.

Water will kill you if you drink enough.

When -- if -- scientists discover the definitive cause & cure for male pattern baldness, I promise it won't be announced via dodgy anonymous post on malfunctioning hair-loss forum full of Norwood-1 incels.

Coffee it aint.
