What tool did you use and at what speed?Finished my first session with the updated protocol today. I roughly measured the surface area of each target section of my scalp and calculated the appropriate treatment durations accordingly. I have DUPA, so that yielded approximately 31 minutes for the top, 12 minutes for each side, and 36 minutes for the back. I set the corresponding timers and spent a total of about 1.5 hours needling (for reference, my past sessions were about half an hour each). It was less painful than my past sessions (due to a lesser needling depth), but I am experiencing a novel, low-level, scalp-wide burning sensation similar to what others have reported.

Working out in the gym every 2-3 days produces good results. Doing it every single day does not work better.
Follica says a 2-week interval works better than wounding more often. I'll take their word on that.
Yeah, we also need to remember that Follica is aiming for the best results in a realistic clinical environment. Meaning that people will not pay if they have to go daily to a clinic. For all we know, the best protocol is actually less density but daily wounding. I would be surprised if we didn't have to give the scalp time to recover though.Follica has never tested daily wounding, so they would have no way of knowing. All they know is once a week is somewhat less effective than once every two weeks. You might be tempted to extrapolate something from that, but you really can't. For all we know the optimal protocol is to wound daily for a week then two weeks to heal, then repeat. We'll never know because it's not feasible for Follica to trial this as no one can make it to the clinic for treatment every day.
Working out daily produces better results than 2-3 days a week if you are alternating muscle groups. We're not trying to build muscles here though, we're trying to stimulate stem cell differentiation.
I think some of you guys are focusing way too much on RPMs. The idea behind Follica's protocol is to make a certain number of needle strikes in a given area. You can accomplish that with a device with 1 RPM...it would just take you a really long time to do it.
Having a pen with a high RPM will allow you to make a lot of strikes quickly. This is good for doctors and patients, since it reduces the amount of time needed for the procedure.
If your pen oscillates slower, you'll have to move it more slowly across the skin than you would if you were using Follica's device. How much slower? You'd have to do the math based on the specs of your device.
The main problem i see is that Follica have to find a balance between efficacy and Monetization. It's *possible* that daily wounding would work better, but how do you get people to go to a clinic to get needled daily, not practical. It's not outlandish to say that they came up with these depth and density numbers simply because they want to corner the market with their own patented device that hits those specifications exactly, along with a practical schedule for needling sessions at a clinic.

The point here is to needle every square nanometer of skin which I can almost guarantee no one has been doing. If people start doing this we should start seeing even better/quicker results than what we already have from needling.

not sure i seen that trialed in humans, plus the hair line baldness women get from tight pony tails is sort of a form of plucking action.I’ve been doing my entire scalp recently.
Im actually considering maybe plucking hairs in a certain experimental area then microneedling that area to see what kind of results I could achieve.
