I haven't stopped minoxidil, trust me the dent is still there and just as bad, the only difference is the light. What do you mean sleeping patterns? how could they trigger this?

The dark circles are the typical ones for minoxidil. As for your forehead, I can't really see anything.

its the dent up the middle the latest pics were pointing at. That's came in lately, The main issue with my forehead is the frown line connected to the dent up the middle which i think you can see on pg 4

I can't see anything, check your before and after photos. As for me the swelling is completely back to normal, same wrinkles, no shedding since I probably wasn't on time enough (just a couple of weeks). At worse it just gave me a tired look but the issue was that the eyelids got stuck and delayed when I blinked because of the inflation and it just was an annoying feeling all around, at least it didn't itch at all (using kirkland liquid 5%).

The only before pic of my forehead is this one, don't get the 2 months one confused with a before picture lol I've been on 6 months now so I'm guessing there's going to be a big shed for me if i quit. Although I still have a lot of my crown to fill in and i think my hairline is slowly coming back so i don't want to quit but argh it's like a pick your poison decision. What are you currently using resu?

Nothing only thing left for me to try is Neogenic but it's way too expensive and I don't care about RU, I'd rather be bald than gamble with batches like that.

Sleeping on your face or the sides may also cause wrinkles. I used to sleep like that and it did add up to it. Yeah well it takes time for the collagen to build up again if you had this from minoxidil. What I did was I followed Benjt's recommendations, I stopped a bit to have those side effects decline. I still have wrinkle lines, but I figure decreasing the dose greatly will not allow systemic absorption.

I don't remember seeing the dent up the middle of my forehead before minoxidil. I've always slept on my sides but the wrinkles i wake up with (Around my eyes) because of it go away in about 30 minutes with the help of a little moisteriser. I probably do use too much minoxidil as i only apply 0.5 on my crown and fingernail amount to the corner of my hairline twice daily. I do try to wipe off anything that's in an area where im not having hairloss though. the frown line is actually corrected to the dent line in the middle but its just more obvious in the frown line area. I'm not going to stop minoxidil, I can't afford to. MY hairline is still there but its just really thin where i applied the minoxidil. If i want more regrowth there i think i need to keep using it but this dent pisses me off. Also how do you sleep on your back? I tried for a bit but gave up

Yeah of course, Minoxidil does increase the effects of sleep wrinkles and expression lines, it basically contributes to it, not entirely the main cause. Do you use minoxidil when your hair is dry? It's important to do that to avoid systemic absorption. I used to shower and then apply it, where side effects increased actually (Heart rate increased). Do keep using it, but decrease your dosage, at least that is what I'm doing, still no side effects till now, except a very very very minor itch, could be even not from minoxidil. My skin is oily, so that's an indication that no systemic changes are occurring onto my skin.

Just close your eyes and sleep! lol, kidding. I trained myself to do that, First it was music, then I started to always turn on a movie and sleep while it's on, sometimes even standup comedy lol. It's a bit of a weird habit but I like it. Sooo I'd sleep right after 5 minutes of the movie starting.

Yeah I don't do it after a shower, When i first started minoxidil i had random palpations whatever they're called too but they seem to have died down. Sleeping on your back is damn impossible to start off with i think. I might do a 24 hour day or something so im tired as hell then try it.

Turns out the puffiness that I was experiencing around the eyes was from the emu oil that I was applying to my face, the puffiness around the eyes is something that has happened in the past specially during summer because the natural oils of the skin make that reaction on me.

I've been using minoxidil 1ml 2x times a day and I haven't experienced any sides so far.

Like I said I still recommend anyone to try minoxidil and don't be discouraged from what you read online.

That's good to hear mate, Sadly the line in the middle of my forehead is increasing and minoxidil still doesn't look to be helping my hair, I'm starting finasteride this weekend though. I've ordered Frownies and a skin needler and am waiting for them to arrive.

My worry now is dark circles, no itch and no water retention but the eye bags do look a bit too dark on the corners near the nose but the intensity varies during the day. I've read that too much potassium can do that. I took plenty of photos of the eyes under different light condition, if I do get dark circles we'll know for sure. I went back to 0.5ml 2x a day because I'm only applying on the bald spot.

I think the puffiness on the eyelids is related to hypothyroidism, my eyesbrows also start to fall during this period. Either that or a bad reaction to emu oil which gave me acne too.

The acne you currently have, is it on your forehead? Is it a bit rough, lumpy, bumpy spots? If so, I think it may be from minoxidil. I had that myself, following dark circles, one forehead wrinkle, new noticeable wrinkles below the eyes, heart rate acceleration, even weight gain, lol. I stopped for a week, it all went away, except the wrinkle line, which stayed, yet is slightly reduced. I'm currently on and off with minoxidil, sometimes I use it, sometimes I don't. I never apply it twice a day anymore, and as a result I only experienced slight water retention and itchiness. The good thing though? No more hairloss! It definitely works and it does seem that my hair in the center thickened out, peach-fuzz is emerging on the temples and on the forehead.

So.. I'm stuck in a dilemma, I don't want more damage to the skin or increasing wrinkles while I try to maintain my hair.

The corners of my hairline are thinning but the worse is by far the vertex, I'll never use finasteride.

No the acne was from emu oil, it blocked the pores. I'm not having any acne or puffy eyelids at the moment but the darkness under the eyes and the way the eyes are sunken is worrying and it shows on photos but that's most likely from lack of sleep, been waking up many times during the night.

Skin care after 30 is a must, I'm going to start with the vitamin c tonic and maybe either DR or use retin-a, problem with retin-a is that the wrinkles under the eyes can get worse before they can get better because it dries the skin.

How come you won't use finasteride? Scared of sides?

I have to say these frownie things ive brought work great, I wore the first one for roughly 13 hours before taking it off an the 10 minutes i had it off i have to say that frown line was gone. Although I suspect that was due to the skin not settling back. They work the same as botox you can't frown when wearing them.
