yeap guys i've been using Surf Hair since it first came out... it's awesome..

yeah the putty came out before the surf hair and it doesnt give that texturized look and it's way too f*****g sticky that i end up yanking hairs out during styling. the putty sucks.

oh and for all you dermatch users, surf hair works very well with dermatch.

don't forget to try la coupe stretch fiber, and Got2b Chaotic putty. if you like the surfer hair, you will like these the same, if not better.

I went out and bought this product after reading your testimonials, and I just tried it out yesterday. The stuff really does thicken up your hair and seriously makes it look like you just got off the beach. I'm one of those people whose hair looks its best when I just get off the beach for some reason. I think because it's wavy, I don't know. Anyway, I work with alot of hot girls because I'm in promotions, and some of them were giving me a ton of attention and "double takes" last night- more so than usual. So I give this product a sincere A+ even though it is just a little sticky. One other note- if you are past a Norwood 3 or a diffuse thinner I don't see how this product could really help you. I think you need a decent amount of hair left or else it will just clump together the hair that you have and highlight the parts where your scalp shows through. That's just my opinion though.

There ya go.. another positive testimonial. Which has also brought something to my attention. I think it is a good idea to share in these forums a feedback on various styling products. It's a good idea because it makes us aware of all the options we have. The good thing about it is these products are dirt cheap and anyone could just go pick them up off a shelf. So lets carry on and share feedback on these products. So far garnier fructis = A+

Well I hate to rain on everyone's parade if it seems that way, but this product did not have favorable results for me. I ran out and bought it last night after reading all the great stuff here. The problem is not the product, I guess it's just my hair. To put it plainly, my hair is just too thin for this stuff to work effectively. I'm sure that those of you who tried it and liked it have much better hair than mine. My hair is just thin, flat, and lifeless. But don't get me wrong, I'm sure this product can do great things for your hair as it's not in the same league as mine.

Used it today for the first time.

Thickened up my dodgy right temple and hairline - it is very good if you have the right hairstyle for it.

In fact, today was the first day in months that I felt good about my hair whilst walking around under flourescent lights at work and in the bright sunlight as it was a really hot day today.

I think this stuff could potentially give me at least an extra few months before I have to shave it down.

It works better for me if i rub through and leave it for 5 minutes, then shape, style my hair, then touch-up and spike with some TIGI X-wax, I imagine Am-Crew Fiber will work too for the touch-up.

Nice one Garnier - I bet they f*****g discontinue this stuff within 6 months.

There was another product next to it on the shelf in Boots by Garnier Fructis and it was called 'Manga Head' - looked a similar consistency to surfhair.

I just picked up some Albertro European VO5 reworkable putty, few people on here mentioned that it's good stuff too, i'll let you know how it turns out to be.

Okay its official. V05 reworkable extreme putty is my number one favorite on top of Garnier fructis surfer hair... Have it in now and this stuff simply rocks! gives you a better hold than surfer hair, but all in all I believe its a better product (surfer hairs rocks still).

VWDude, would you mind posting your hair styled with the product?

I'm curious to see what kind of hair styles those actually using this product have.

Thanks :)

Yep... ive been using the V05 for about 6-8 months... used surfer hair today, dont mind it... will give it a few more goes, but the V05 often leaves me with that "sh*t yeah" feeling.

The V05 stuff i rub all over my hands (till its sticky) and then lightly rub it through all my hair starting at the tips moving forward backward and sideways, then get closer and closer to the roots... finish it off with specific spikes or whatever with the fingers. 3 mins of work and your done...

So far i still Put The V05 Reworkable Putty "Extreme" at number one. Jay Tee... give it a go if the Surfer hair wasn't for you. I agree the Surfer hair didnt make my hair look thicker like the V05. Obviously everyone's hair is different...

I totally agree with you... see how it strings out if you touch just a little bit of it. yet it still manages to pull off that natural look. this sh*t rulez.

I'm not too keen on publicy posting my pic over the internet and a lot of people would agree with me on this one... just the top of my head or something is fine but a face shot = not my cup of tea. Give it a shot, try it out yourself and then you will see what it can do for you.

On no, block out everything, I just want to see the hair. Since you are Italian though, I would assume your hair is naturally pretty coarse and thick.
