You don't need a "gift" for any of those - except maybe a mathematicians. But I just meant any job really where you are judged based on your abilities, rather than super ficial bullshit.

You think just anyone can be a Math wiz or and engineer? Or a doctor? I know I couldn't be them.

If I can do it, so can everyone else....

In my opinion maths is easier than engineering, law, medicine, etc....

The beauty of maths is that it's very structured. I see law as very random, most of the time I don't understand it.

Evey dummy can graduate law or medicine . it's just memorizing the material .
I remember my math courses . it was so confusing sometimes . those theorem proofs can get so complicated . in my opinion physics is the hardest .

Lots of male pornstars seem to be bald.
fits in with the excessive ejaculation theory, eh?

I wouldn't be put off by a bald hairdresser...its genetic ffs! People on this board of all places associating baldness with bad hair care, jesus! When I was in my teens I always got it cut by a guy that was majorly thin on top and I can say honestly it never even registered at the time. I only ever starting defining people as balding when I started losing it myself and got self-conscious. Most people do not give a sh*t.

Seriously sometimes this place talks alot of sh*t.

I hate the way people here go 'oh i seen a bald model' or ' theres quite alot of bald men in the construction industry'. Jesus guys theres bald guys everywhere cause its NORMAL! shock horror.
And just like people with hair, theres good looking ones and bad looking ones. Guys for f*** sake wise up.

You dont get it, some poeple actaully look good (even really really good) WITH hair, and extremly unatrative without it, its just a f*****g fact, and going from good/decent looking into ugly is whole diffrent story then living ugly all your life, this is the type of people that hair loss devestates!
ill give you a perfect example for a good looking who turned way less attractive then he used to thanks to hair loss(imo only! )..

im talking about crap like discussing what careers they can do.. i think its crazy. bald is normal no matter how ugly it makes you and it certainly wont stop you geting a specific career.

What's hilarious about the Jude Law pic are the women (and gay men) on the internet who flock to defend him and say his hairline is "perfect" and that he's not at all going bald.

There was even one chick who posted a picture of him to "prove" he had a perfect hairline when it clearly showed massive recession and a NW3.5. :shakehead:

He luckily looked great with a receeded hairline. The forelock saves him. If he was to loose it and become nw4a it would be over for him.

Dude... let us have our fun

I agree with you that some of the posts are way OTT, but this thread is kinda fun...

The thing is there are certain professions that bald men don't really do. Acting and modelling are two of those professions. We just don't see enough bald men on TV......

On the other hand, we wouldn't be at all surprised to see bald doctors, engineers, etc. Thanks to the likes of Einstein and his crazy looking hair, we've come to expect scientists to have crazy hair.

BBC has been showing lots of documentaries about Darwin lately. It's 150 years since the publication of Darwin's book and 2009 is dedicated to him. I bet you must have seen a picture of him. Have you noticed how Darwin used to combover in his 20s? He had premature balding as well....

Lots of people associated with Darwin thought the natural selection process was survival of the fittest, as opposed to survival of adaptability. Survival of the fittest lead to the study of eugenics, and the likes of Darwin were in the list of "genetically superior" people. In other words, his premature balding didn't stop him from being considered as "genetically superior". (UM is probably thinking that Darwin was a loser...)

If he'd hair that hair 10 yrs ago it would have been over for him before it had even begun.

Makes you think does'nt it how would Cruise or Pitts career have gone if they'd suddenly lost a noticible degree of hair back in the 90's?

I can just imagine Darwin as some CCS type theorising about how genetics work in order to combat his baldness. :)

First of all, he is older in the 2nd pic. Second of all, he could go Jason Statham bald and still score more chicks than everyone on this forum combined.

Yes, hairloss generally makes you more unattractive, but people on this forum act like they would all be Brad Pitt if they had a perfect head of hair. Have you ever taken a look around?? Very good looking people are extremely rare.

You mean CCS is the future Darwin :woot: ??? Who would have guessed :dunno: ....

I wonder what Darwin really thought of baldness. I mean he spent his whole life thinking about natural selection and attraction of the opposite sexes. He must have seen the hereditary connection. He probably thought that baldness wasn't a weakness???

I've gotta say though - Jude Law is my ultimate hair loss hero.

In that pic with his hair grown out his forelock isn't much thicker than it is in the second pic. The dude (or his stylists) is a MASTER of concealing a receding hairline.

Look at that awesome comb forward.

I think he's proof that if you have a thick enough forelock, you can pull off some pretty good looks even well into NW3 territory.

Ofc he can pull more then all of us togather, hes freakin Jude Law (fame and fortune tends to have this effect on people..)
Second, he can not pull Jason statham looks becuase he doesnt have the facial caricharistic for it, we all look diffrent, and the example wasnt given to show that he got ugly or something, just to prove a point, that some people lose LOT of points going bald, he still looks good, but not as nearly as with hes picture with a full head of hair...:/

Hey he might just suit it. Has anyone seen reign of fire with mathew McConaughey. He had a shaved head and looked good despite the fact he always has long hair in his movies. I didnt think he suit being bald but he did.

If he'd had hair he would have been out banging chicks rather than theorising about evolution. :hump:

He's still a good looking guy but going bald really knocked Kelly Slaters appearance. (Ouch!)

Good:
computer programmers (no women to interact with, don't feel self concious)
engineers (ditto)
doctors (projects sanitary image)
chefs/food preparers (ditto)
mathematicians (accepting of diverse ecentricities)
athletes (shaved head aerodynamic, cool)
bouncer (tough image)

Bad:
lawyers/businessman (lots of "schmoozing" and but kissing aided by hair)
models (duh)
outdoor worker (bald head burns)
news presenter (media biased against balding)
actor (need hair for most roles)
teacher (kids will rip someone losing hair)
customer service (people like haired people)

Actually, I disagree with this one. I think that most of the guys in those jobs can wear a hat to work, thus covering their baldness much more effectively than an office worker would be able to, and at the same time minimizing the risk of sunburn.
