WOUld you mind to read the announcement in which an aimed release date in 2020 is definitely mentioned? Or do you want to wait 12 years until it comes out?
It's late 2020 and it's the best case scenario for a conditional release.
Even if it came out in 2020 and I could afford it (I ain't investing more than 50,000€), I would still wait at least five years before I opted for it.

Are you concerned for safety or efficacy?

We will be old men in 2030 lol...

Tsuji lab and RIKEN won’t be working aggressively on their project if they don’t have something very big. This is very expensive project and last almost 12 years with all scientific research and preclinical trials. If this project give great results it will bring billions and billions of dollars capital to Japan in next 30 years.

That's why I care very little about these constant speculations about the product being available 5-10 years after 2020. Remember, Tsuji didn't say that he was going to be done in 2020 a year or a couple of years ago - he said it almost a decade ago. In the world of fund-raising, this would've been a death sentence. So no, I think that the 2020 estimate was calculated and pondered over for a long time. He chose his words carefully, and he has been as good as his word ever since.

Tsuji is a scientist, he doesn't give a sh*t about getting a product to the market, he wants recognition from his peers, thats all.
if you think somthing will come out of his work you're gonna wait a while

Now do you want to say that Kyocera don’t know how to get a product on the market ? :D https://global.kyocera.com/news/2016/0702_nfid.html

Joint Partnership Aims for New Treatment in 2020
Kyocera, RIKEN and Organ Technologies plan to establish cell culture and transplant technologies and develop devices for transplantation, aiming to put the technologies into practical use for the treatment of human alopecia in 2020 in Japan.

I agree.
I think 2025-2030 seems more realistic.
2016 they thought they need 4 years to get the conditional launch.
Since then they overcome their biggest problem so everything is going smooth for them.
It should be available between 2020 and 2025.
But we will know more in the next month.

Riken, Organ Technologies and Kyocera aimed the release for 2020. Don't forget, this release will be on Japan only and available for 10 000 patients during the first year. Until this technology goes global, you will need probably need to wait until 2025/30.

So if you are willing to do it, buy a plane ticket and spend some weeks in Japan in 2020, otherwise wait 6 more years until this goes global.

Please the source. Will they also take foreigners patients under The 10.000?
What is the best Way to get under the 10.000 patient registry? Do we have to ask in Japan for treatment or can we at first step by with the internet and book an procedure?

They need to repeat the pre clinical trial with mice. Because they need in the pre clinical trial the exact same procedure they are going to do in the human trial. They said it is likely that they read out the data of pre clinical trial this year and they are going to present the data before they are moving on to the next phase. And the safety for tumorgenesis they are going to do in vivo (which could speed up the process drastcially). So maybe at the beginning of next year we know the likelyhood of tumorgenesis and if they proceed to human trials which they aime to start in march.

2019 trials with humans.
2020 comercialization.
If everything goes well possibly 2020-2021. Honestly I do not think the price is that high. In any case who can afford it will make Japan the "new" Turkey.
A company always wants to get benefits soon. So they want a product that they can only sell to 10% of the population? taking into account that 10% of the population are bald, or bald and they give a sh*t about their hair.

fact is lot of people care for their hairs but most cope with hairloss maybe because they shave early, maybe because treatments don't work or simply they have other prorities in their life and money go for other more important things......
if a cure comes one day on the market and if it's affordable enough, there will be a lot of people interested in it

Tsuji is a scientist, damn true. However, Kyocera and Organ are business people, they need money as soon as possible. Not only does it benefit themselves, it also benefit the whole Japan's economy, which explains why Japanese government revamped the laws on regenerative medicine to accelerate it.

RIKEN has the plan to bring it to the market in 2020 and Kyocera announced it too. I think they have thought about release date extensively so I hope Tsuji is right.

Implementation of something that works in the lab into a fully automatic process usually takes five years.
Now at this point they might have already started tinkering for some time, so give and take after 2020 might be possible.

Honestly I don't care if it's 2020, 2025 or 2030, if this sh*t works it's a game changer and we will all get very old. Because this opens up organ Regeration, skin regeneration...

Can you please give me the link of the source where it is mentioned that only 10.000 people will be treated?
