Screw pictures. I wish I just could have it. In fact, screw a full head of hair. Just give me half of it back and I'm happy (depending on where). Give me James Gandolfini's hair and I am much happier.

Well i dont have full head of hair. I'm a diffuser NW3.5 . Sometimes i'm a NW3 but most of the time i'm NW3.5. Pics lie too much for diffusers.
I wish pictures of me would lie and make me look like I have a full head of hair.[/quote:2hnfsocz]

Sorry but you complain too much. Let me see you're good looking, you have success with women, women hit you all day long and you complain putting elephant kid in your avatar to make horror in HairLossTalk.com?

WTF. Screw you UC.

IBM, I don't know what I said to give you the impression that I'm some sort of ladies man. I was in a relationship for ten years, but when I met her I did have a full head of hair (given it was already thinning) and lucky for me that didn't bother her. I made a mistake with another woman that nobody would be proud of (she was fat), other than that I don't get any action. I'm flattered that you think I'm handsome :gay: but according to this very post that doesn't matter because what really matters (according to you and almost everyone else) is hair. Using your own logic, I do have a right to complain when you force me to compare myself to these pictures of men who are way older than me with hair like a teenager. Sorry, but that makes me feel like 5hit. Besides, I'm not the one who recently posted a dozen separate hairbrained topics all of which were complaining about stuff like "Nobody likes me.". I just don't understand why you think I don't have a right to be bothered by hair loss when I'm actually bald and you aren't. I wish I had my hair back more than anything and I use the Elephant Man and Rocky Dennins because even though I am not disfigured like them I can sympathize with them because I know what it is like to have people look at me with disgust and disapproval.

Although the initial topic has definitely progressed. I will say that confidence is a huge thing IBM. If you walk in a bar like a guy who looks like he should be on suicide watch. Then you shouldn't expect women to be clamoring all over you. Aside from that, if your a smart guy then why even try and meet women at bars? Theres lot's of places to go to meet women.

This happens with a lot of things. It's sad just how similar the feelings of discrimination are. Theres a helpforum out there, for guys with Small feet, for short guys, guys with bad skin, guys with small hands. They are probably on there, saying exactly what you are. I never get looks, they just see my small hands, my feet, I'm too short, .. If only I had big hands, everything would fix itself. Which it to some degree would. But not because of that particular dudes hands having reached an average size, But because his confidence would have returned with it.

Which is something underestimated badly. For every problem people have with their physical appearance. Whenever they change it, and are happy about it. Their lives get better. More friends, better time, people are nicer at work. You name it, it improves. But it isn't for the most part at least the physical difference it's the mental one.

Certain women will tell you all day long, Nope don't date bald guys, not me. Right up until they meet that certain guy, and they can't believe that they really don't care. This happens "all" the time. Not just with bald guys. No you still might not get eager looks from across a bar from some 20something chica, But do you really even want that? I don't hate women like that, but I certainly would never date them.

I mean you sound like you want your hair back, so you can go and date girls who would have never given you the time of day before, not having anything to do with your lack of confidence, but just because your balding. Personally, I will never go back to that.

You also brought in random pictures of celebrities? .. What exactly is the point. I could have every single hair on my head, be an absolute Beauty in every aspect. At the same time I could do what you just did, bring up all kinds of pictures of guys who get more "looks" then I do. There will always be someone else man, always someone with more. If your going to spend your life blaming everything on being bald.. I mean, Somewhere it's got to stop.

I've learned all kinds of things from being bald, and After I have an hair transplant, or some other form of treatment is released. I will have viewed this as a positive experience.

IBM, for the sake of the brotherhood of this forum, stop measuring who complains more. Instead of counting how many complaint posts HatP or UC have, why don't you let them complain all they want because for some reason it seems to help them. I think you complain for the same reason. You want to vent your problems which is good and then you want people to give you support. Why can't you give the same respect to HP and UC too. They seem like two great people who I wish I could help. They come on here hoping to find people in similar situations and learn how to deal with the same issues. That is why I come on here. I know this is a hairloss forum but its a BDD forum in disguise. I know I have been sometimes out of line with some of my comments to people like Metalheaddude who honestly I actually enjoy ironically. I sometimes think this place gets too serious and depressing so we need some humor once in while. Yes hair matters, but most importantly WE all matter. This forum matters. Cassin matters. They all play a role in life. Let everyone have a fair share to complain. This is a place to vent and get some support. Just remember IBM, you matter alot and when you start to believe it, the girls will sense it and be drawn to you no matter how much hair you have.

I just got back from Spain (work things). Of course i've seen who's bald and who's not bald and the reaction of chicks. The non balding (and attention HP and UC i wrote balding and not bald) are too far popular and loved than the balding guys. And those with Joachim Lowe hairstyle were even more. Now tell me how i'm going to be happy with that? I even dont like me when I see in the mirror.

I'm not against HP and UC number of complaints. I'm against who's HP and UC complain about. And what they complain about? They complain constantly about those who are balding but have some hair. I've seen here and on GHG posts. They should realize that my suffering is not less then them.

If I keep my body healthy and do well in my job, I know who the women will prefer. I don't need hair to make women happy.

Look I always say, stay away from mirrors. They only reflect problems not worth capturing. IBM,Your suffering may be the same as theirs in your FRAME of perspective. But trust me, their situation is worse in my FRAME of perspective. So I think we need to realize FRAME of perspective matters too. You need to change your frame of perspective about yourself so you can see you are just as desirable as those balding and those not balding. UC and HatP need to change their FRAMES of perspective too. We all do. Some people have to use medication to do it but I don't believe that is the best way to approach it. I am sure if you would have asked that girl( you talked about earlier) out for some coffee, she would have said yes.

I prefer to film it and then watch it back. I never thought my large forehead was a problem in any of my movies.

I thought my beer belly was ugly, but I sorted that out.

This thread is kinda like a reverse epeen thread...

Anyone remember the classic Monty Python sketch, "Four Yorkshiremen"?

edit
Oikes, I kinda feel bad about making light of a situation which is clearly so important to people, that's kinda mean of me. But for your own sakes, have you tried taking a step back from your situations and considering all the good stuff in your lives, or how fortunate you are compared to so many others on the planet?

I'm not trying to be preachy here, heck I've been though a *huge* ammount of despair and black times myself, but upon reflection, even with my condition, I still feel incredibly fortunate to be who I am and live the life I do.

Take a deep breath guys, turn on the telly or buy a news paper and see how bad life is for folk in some other countries :)

That's the point I keep reiterating as well. We have to concentrate on our good points, and on our motives in life.

Most importantly we have to be content.

I am under pressure at the moment, my income is below the average but I am fortunate enough to have degrees and qualifications. The lack of money is absolutely killing me, but at least I have targets in life and hopefully I can turn my fortunes around soon. So, I am staying positive and confident.
