I'd have to see where your ear was in relation to your temporal recession.

Looking at those pics, I'd say you're a Norwood 2. Keep an eye on it but I wouldn't lose too much sleep about it yet.

Worry when you're a Norwood 3 with Vertex thinning. That's the time to hop on Minoxidil and Finasteride.

Have you noticed any thinning or are you just concerned about the widows peak? I wouldnt be worried at the moment.

My point makes perfect sense. There's zero point going on any medication and dealing with possible side effects until he's a Norwood 3 Vertex which is were male pattern baldness properly kicks in.

A Norwood 2 can last for decades. My Dad's been a Norwood 2 for nearly 5 decades from his late teens to his late 60's. According to you and many others on this forum, he'd have been a candidate for Finasteride etc in his late teens despite the fact that he's still got a great head of hair at 67. This is f*****g madness. I was a Norwood 2 for nearly 20 years - from the age of 17 to 36 before my crown started to thin and I was forced to take Minoxidil and Finasteride.

OP should keep an eye on it to see if the situation worsens but there's no point him getting his knickers in a twist about minor temporal recession.

Alright, makes sense. Thanks for clarifying :)

The reason why most guys my age tell him to hop on finasteride etc is because hairloss at such an early age at MOST times usually gets worse. But I get where you're coming from
