May I humbly suggest to try the following:
1- add minoxidil to fina, as Swoop suggested
2- shorten your hair especially on back and sides
3- do not comb the forelock to the front. I know it covers more area but it looks frizzy and "disorganized".
4 - try to see if you look better with a side part or to the back. You cover less bald area, I know, but people will think you know what you are doing.

Ps: are you going to work in finance? If so, go to work for a bank, get a loan from same bank, get FUE as soon as possible. It will save your youth.

Sorry I dumbed out and thought the upload tool was on the upside bar. lol. So here it is.

Density is actually much worse than this. This lighting is actually quite good. I have very very thin hair. Can't comb. People comment on it on a weekly basis.

I classmate in uni called me Trevor Philips from GTA V. I died inside and faked a laugh.

that is disgusting

hop on finasteride asap mate

its not disgusting lol . baldness is ugly but to say its disgusting is a bit much
Fatness is disgusting, baldness just looks pathetic.

Boys, you know that Cope is right. That's pretty much f*****g disgusting. I'm on my fourth month of fina anyway.

Why don't you try minoxidil?

I will probably try minoxidil but I have to do some research and find a long-term supplier of quality minoxidil. You can't find minoxidil at your local store here. I also have to hide it from my family lol (I don't know how my very bald, power donut father would react. He would shame me a lot for 'squandering' his money. He doesn't know what the FDA is nor he knows about male androgens and DHT). Fina is easy to hide but a dozen of minoxidil bottles aren't. I'll find a solution though.

In that photo I took I purposely messed up my hair a lot with a blow dryer in order to show the real extent of my loss. I assure you I don't go around looking like that and I look SEMI acceptable, but balding and 'unkempt' even if side parted. I tried that 'do but my hairline is too fucked up to comb it back or by the side.

Anyway, these months are months of truth: if fina doesn't work, I will have to shave, which is a death sentence for my social self confidence. I signed up in this forum because I wanted people like me to talk to when sh*t will go down the drain and I will have to decline invites to typical 21 years' old parties, losing many friends.

I appreciate a lot your answers, your tips. This forum is a blessing. I will keep visiting here even if my situation gets better (which is unlikely given the standard fina statistics). I love you all, you're wonderful people. Even Rick 'Breivik' 89.

PS: it will be a long way before I get into a bank, if I ever will. That loan thing is interesting though. I will look into preferential treatments of bankers by the same banks. That's very interesting, I'll do some research.

Tried a buzzcut two years ago. Boy, the feedback absolutely destroyed me. People teased me and pointed out my receding and thinning every f*****g day. A girl actually called me bald and disgusting. An ex girlfriend, with which I always had a friends-with-benefits like relationship, saw me, commented and looked at me with true pity. Never heard of her from that time.

Here where I live buzzing down is a TRUE death sentence if you're twenty-something. What the f*** boy I will never ever want to experience those 5-4 months I passed while buzzed (my hair grows very slowly).

Now people comment very less, don't tease much. Been called balding and aging (at 21, fml), but not bald and disgusting. That's why I'm keeping this damn 'nest'.

I buzz from 19 ;(

First who saw me was my mother and first reaction was "oh if only you hair were growing lower..." (while pointing with finger NW1)

Women don't understand because hair loss is not a woman's problem.

Hair loss statistics claim that 40% of hair loss sufferers are women, but they don't specify that they just lose density and thickness, but they don't look bald at all. I know many of them. They act like it's a problem because they want a leonine mane but they don't understand we males just don't give a sh*t if a woman's hair looks like Victoria Beckham's. I even like it. I know a girl my age who is actually balding (see through on the front) because her hair is very thin due to an eating disorder. She's sexy as f***, men like her and she never had boyfriend problems.

A very very small percentage of women who are not menopausal experience true baldness like receding and see-through hair, and they are the only ones who 'know'.

brom i am not a huge fan of minoxidil but you look like the perfect candidate for it .
Diffuse thinning, you might get decent result by adding minoxidil

I agree. Having a receeded hairline is just as bad. Iv had women scoff at me in public. I'm looking into hair pieces currently.

It is as bad. And it leads to the same thing, total baldness.

Can't understand why some guys think vertex hair loss is worse. That's where all
medications are tested on.

Although medications work equally well on the forehead.

Vertex people are the worst candidates for transplant surgery.

Vertex doesn't seem to ever get good results ontop of it being graft dominant to the point where you will not have enough for the hairline once the hair loss reaches.

Hairline can be restored aggressively.

Who the f*** cares if your crown thins??? hairline = everything.

Vertex requires so much grafts, and in hindsight is a poor choice for graft distribution

those with vertex loss are typically fucked. In the short run they benefit more, but in the long run are screwed once that massive bowling ball hits. Most panic and want to exert all there grafts here, which is often not enough.

is minoxidile for life?
How long did you try Ket. Your symptoms seem positive (first thinning).
minoxidil Foam is an option like a member above suggest it.
Or you can try minoxidil Liquid (without PG), or with low alcohol.

Both finasteride and minoxidil are technically for life. While finasteride works mid term (peak effectiveness at year 2-3, then very slow worsening. It probably stops being effective a certain point), minoxidil is known to lose effectiveness after 3 years at best.

Even when I was sporting a grandpa horseshoe, I wasn't exactly living under a bridge waiting for life to be over.

At least after the initial shock (depression, panic attacks, most of you guys know my story), which was more about being scared of the unknown than anything else.

I had an active social life, I was going to university, I was travelling, dating, etc. I forced myself and had to admit that there was still a life worth living out there, even as a NW5.

These "life is over when you're bald" comments are exaggerated in my opinion. And they often come from people who've never actually been bald.

That said it was not all rainbows and butterflies: mockeries flew out of the blue (the "he has no haiiir" bar incident), the girls I was dating lost interest quite fast (but at least I got laid, win!) and it was hard for me to look different from the person I wanted to be (a person with a hair line, even shaved).

When you're bald, life is just not as great as it once was, but it can still be pretty decent.
Dante won't be happy with this.

I hate the knee jerk ' shave it' mentality. No doubt it's the best option for many, but I believe in many cases a good haircut with some styling tricks is best. My hair loss pattern is kind of weird and I think shaving would make my baldness look way more obvious.
