working class
middle class
upper middle class

and then, "upper class", like homes bruce willis would live in! that is like £700K, b/c two people would have to be £150,000 to afford that mortgage, and doctors/lawyers earn £50,000 a year, two doctors/lawyers could afford a £250K living space which is technically upper middle,

how many times... class is not the same thing as how much money you have. Jordan is a millionaire, but she has all the class of a slapper from Essex.

and Bruce Willis would live in a $10 million value home or something. 700k to him is what he probably pays for a haircut.

no they are all birds eye fish fillets, yes mum does buy tescos finest range as well, but birds eye is perfect for me, and it is £1 per fillet.

please answer the direct question about the housing market, all you do is just ignore it, you never accept 350K as upper middle, and keep mentioning the same inner london cities, I try to explain to you that those inner cities are unique, and you dont go form poor to rich by moving 10-20 miles down the road, that is just what those inner cities are like.

ok so now is your official statement 600K+ is upper middle class? (no area BS)

b/c basically your a laughing stock now. remember chris's family home is worth 200K, I guess he must be working class then? if my family home 350K is middle class? what about the 75K homes, are they "no class".

Bruce Willis lives in a £700k house now? Maybe this where HPMs claims of wealth come from. I wonder if he has undiagnosed aspergers. It would explain why he won't listen to reason, his strange attitude, inability to apologise or accept when he's been wrong and sticks rigidly to his surveys! Has he provided you with any real proof like his mother's bank statements yet QC?

class isn't determined by the value of your house

such fervour.
turning every thread into property debate,
as if hpm's quality of life depends on whether he prooves that his parents house is upper middle class and not middle class.
hpm with your particular lifestyle even living in a castle wouldn't change your predicament, you should relax a little, and concetrate on what's important rather than trying to proove something on hair loss forum, something that doesn't even make a difference really nor warrant such fiery argument.

I'm surprised he hasn't called you a liar or a joke yet. Or accused you of being jealous. One thing I don't get, is that he blathers on about leg lengthening for a couple of years now. If he and his family were so wealthy, why hasn't he done it yet? None of his story adds up, but woe betide anyone questioning him, but but but he has his surveys and links. They supercede any real life experience!

no bank or mortgage statements - and no links to his house on google street view. we'll have to take his word for it

Still blathering on about my parent's house I see....I am working class. So what? It doesn't make me a bad person. There's only one person here who is "no class"!

Why am I not surprised? He will write it in a larger font, that means he must be telling the truth. Like his experience with women, a snog at a party years ago. LMAO!

I believe my parents home is worth in the 5-600K range, and it's only a small regular semi-detached house. That's middle range. Neither I nor my parents consider ourselves 'rich' by UK standards. Certainly not 'upper class'

I could link any house, who cares, what proof do I have that I could not forge.

seriously go into a property store and say "350 is middle of the market", everyone will just laugh at you.

and start going on about your inner london cities people will just tell you what I have been telling you.

oh ok now, so 600K is now "middle range", I guess things have changed over the past 5 minutes.

give me a break!

what is chris's 200K home then.

oh wait, here comes your area bull**** again.

It's not my home, it's my mum and dad's anyway. Like HPM I can't afford to buy my own home, even working...

QC, you REALLY need to go to a property center and talk with people there about your "thoughts" on what is middle of the market.

seriously DO THIS, I'd love to see the look on their faces!

now you dont' seem to care whether a living space is worth 600K or 200K, all you care about is what size it is, properties are all worth more or less the same across all areas, only a 15% difference MAX (yes bar those inner city london areas)

what you get in glasgow, is -much- the same as birmingham as dundee as liverpool as aberdeen etc.

- - - Updated - - -

I would like to see a link to -any- £600K living space that is as you describe, al the ones in TSPC on £600K are like palaces

no doubt I will never see this link!

my parents house is a regular semi, similar to the one in the photo below. It's worth that much because of its location in London (not inner London). If they moved outside London no doubt they would be able to get a bigger size house

is it really £600K?

is it not more like £300K?

I'd hardly call that regular, defo middle to upper middle.

is it 4 bedroom, 2 bath, garden (how big) + garage.

i'd say my parents place is about 20% more expensive than yours.

but if it is in the 400K range, then you're parents house is upper middle.

you seem to equate size with how far you are in the property market, via area, im trying to explain to you that is not the truth, I state again, why would moving 10 miles to another location make you "rich" for that area, you earn the same amount as you would anyway.

I believe it's in the 5-600K range yes. We're talking London here - even in the outer suburbs, house prices are ridiculously high

that pic isn't their house, but a similar size and type

so you live on your own? rent apartment, what are bills like.

seriously a 400K living space is a babe magnet.

again how many bedrooms, baths, size of garden.

in my region average is £130K (fife), but asking price based on postcode is £250K, I have 4 homes next to me worth £500K, most are £250K, and some £150K locations, there are no flats for miles, it's a very posh area in a regular region, not that it matters, im sure there are some posh areas in glasgow, still means glasgow average is £140, even though there are 500K homes somewhere.

remember area does not matter, remember the links I showed you.

£350K for ALL MAJOR CITIES IN ENGLAND (bar select inner london regions) is Upper middle class, not that regional average matters, but since you are "area obsessed", here is the average of each major city in England.

Two main cities in scotland

  • Dundee (£125K)
  • Glasgow (£130K)

Did you not read the above?
