A bit off topic but: what do you make of the English summer?

Do you find the grey sky's and lack of warmth depressing?

I lived there most of my life and I cant stand the grey sky's every f*****g day

It's the short winter hours that gets to me.

Dark when I get to work, dark when I leave work. What's there to do but have a few pints and watch the football?

"Grey sky and lack of warmth"???? That's what you call 25 degrees and sunny days? :D

There's been gray days and rainy days, and luckily there will be many others. I came here to escape Italy's torrid weather and high humidity (35-37 degrees :eek::eek:)
Glad your enjoying it.

Are you weirded out by the sun rise at 3.30 am?

What do you like/dislike about England?

British people are too pompous... Snobs. I dislike them. They have a great history tho, maybe one of the greatest ever but still.

Depends on the class. Middle class people are snoby (but many middle classes from different classes are as well). Whereas working class people don't look down on you for your manners or how you pronounce things.

I like the weather, the history, art, traditions and love the country in general (specifically, efficience and competence in many sectors, from mail to transports).

I dislike food, houses and hygienic conditions of most places here, from rooms for rent (brrrr) to restaurants.

Seriously.
Yeah, our food isn't great, but I didn't notice this until I started to travel abroad.

Bristol should have some good restaurants though as its a big, modern city.

The best thing about the English is that if you walk into them they will say sorry to you.

We give the world:

Charles Darwin
Brunel
Shakespeare
Isaac Newton
Steven Hawking
Thomas Paine
George Orwell

And still the buffoons moan.

The only nations that have had such profound influence in the advancement of science and culture are: France, Greece and America.

Half of them are Jewish.

And your comment is ignorant.

The correct order is Greece then everyone else

Your languages are nothing without Greek words, you can't even speak properly.

Not that it means anything just for the sake of correctness

The Greeks were important no doubt.

I'm proud of British Jews - I don't see Jewish as a slur and if you do then i'd consider you an anti-Semite.

wow you are there a long time...you working there or you took off for long vacation?

Travelling South America, 2 months in Colombia and nearly a month in Ecuador so far. Best time of my life. We are doing workaways (from Workaway.info) so you work for food and accommodation basically. Amazing way to travel in my opinion.

Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Brazil still left :D

Seriously I'd advise anyone and everyone to travel this way. The people you meet doing workaways are completely different to the people you'd meet otherwise.

Also Colombian women are beautiful. Although probably close to 25% of them are prostitutes (no offense to Colombians :p).
