yes it sucks but you gotta deal with it and do what it takes to better yourself/better the situation
complaining definitely doesnt help and so many people on these forums COMPLAIN, but do sweet **** all to fix the situation (too scared to take finasteride,etc),

and if you are too far gone in your hairloss, i'm sorry but the reality is you have to deal with it... everyone has flaws in themselves nobody is perfect, just focus on the things you are good at.

What decade do you feel you have had the most hassle? Me its the 30s, although I have a heightened sense of awareness now, so perhaps I got just as much crap during my 20s, just didn't recognise it.

When being bald affects every aspect of ones life then it will take its toll on ANYBODY.

He cant agree because he cant understand because he is not bald like us. Although im sure with a little digging I could find a thread with him whining about his receeded temples or whatever, yet he has the audacity to patronize others in worse situations, ultimately resorting to juvenile taunts. He is just another full head telling us bald guys to get over it without any empathy at all. Let him go bald, thats the only way anyone like this can ever get a clue. You are right that anybody would feel this way in the same shoes but having hair closes your eyes to the truth. Its like the difference between being asleep and being awake.

Personally I thought it was a good post by Winnyblues and wasn't directed at you, was a general post on staying strong. I've spoken to him via PM a few times and it's clear he is a strong enough guy to handle adversity. He also have diffuse thinning and buzzes his hair currently. Oh but he is not bald so he can't relate? Well there are like a million other conditions at least equivalent to balding (in reality worse) and you see some people crumble with that, yet others come out fighting. Why does everyone react to pain different I wonder? Some moan, cry, some make changes happen or find a way of coping. Definitely I know who is more of a fighter or a man.

Don't tar everyone with the same brush and come out with the escape line "u not bald brah so you don't get me." I know plenty of bald people who handle it better than you, I also know people with other severe conditions who handle it better. It comes down to your social anxiety and lack of coping mechanisms. There really was no need to lay into winnyblues.

Get some therapy, please don't say I need hair not therapy, cause that really is not the point. Exodus is bald yet seems to have improved and turned the corner. I am very happy for him he is contemplating change.

I thought I got it at the early stages of my baldness. But once you get to "the bald guy" stage, it's a whole different story.

Too bad you still seem to be in denial about this fact Wolf Pack, but that's how it is.

Balding: painful. Acutally being bald: hell on earth.

It's going to sound very arrogant, but I think people who "handle it better" as you put it are also in denial, because they don't have the social intuition and intelligence people like me or uncomfortable man have.

You say they have severe conditions and they handle it better? Well, of course, they don't have male pattern baldness. It might also seem conceited to say that, but come on, we've been all over this on the forum: even people who get f-ing cancer think their hair loss is the worst part of it.

Fred, I got some reps from that post from users with very different patterns of loss, so it shows some people do relate. I forgot to mention you in the post too, in the sense that Exodus is contemplating how to get better but you've already gone and done it! So I have massive respect for you to make the best of a very bad situation.

Firstly I was not comparing balding to being bald, I know it's going to be worse for sure. I'm not in denial about this, I have always mentioned how I like full hair/styling and anything less I see as a loss of identity/features, repulsive and will lower your attractive ratings. My own girlfriend and her friends like guys with hairstyles. Trust me, I am not in denial. Also I understand how society works and human behaviour.

He does need some psychological help Fred. You yourself went to a Psychiatric hospital and also had a transplant, you're so much better now. His anxiety is making it even harder for him to cope. Also you can't dismiss all baldies who are not in pain over it as unintelligent - they would take hair in a flash! It's just they find a way to function despite the problem they have. I think UC and Exodus are struggling to function but Exodus is trying to help himself. UC also feels very close to full baldies and has an unhealthy hatred of people with lower norwoods let alone fullheads. This isn't rational.

Regarding the cancer comment, in movies they make the hair loss thing a big deal for women I agree, but in reality most cancer sufferers I met are worried about basic stuff: finances (will), loved ones and dying with pain. Serious.
