Thanks House, that really warms my heart. I definitely like to think my parents, schooling (I went to an international school in HK for high school) and leisure time activities (I do spend a fair bit of my free time reading) all contribute to my current persona.

I'll be sure to keep your advice in the back of my mind. I try not to let Androgenetic Alopecia tarnish my outlook on the future, I just deal with it as best I can taking things one day and one step at a time and seeing how I go from there (in terms of treatment efficacy and evaluation). It's another variable in my life I only have limited control over, I figure it's best not to overanalyse or stress about it. I'm hopeful though and envisage at least more treatment options by 2020, as long as all goes well for Kythera's setipiprant in clinical trials.

I agree with Dr House, it's nice to see someone, esp. someone so young write this well, given that young people nowadays tend to write like Exodus.

Haha thanks fellow Captain! That really means a lot, especially because writing is just a passive thing for me. It really mesmerises me that you and House take notice of my writing style. Definitely makes my day!

LOL, CF, we think alike. I was thinking the exact same thing but sometimes Exodus will post something "intelligent" without his slang style posting. I think Hook should starting writing books. I thought about writing a book called, How to keep your "power" to enhance your life. Basically, alot of the advice and insight that I give here but I would need someone like Hook to co-write it.

I know what you mean. Occasionally Exodus slips up and lets his intelligent persona out for a walk. It's always nice when we get to meet him.

How about doing it as a series of joint essays?

People notice Captain Hook, I'm sure we are not the only ones :)
Did you have a lot of practice in high school/college writing essays?

Oh my, haha it's funny you mention this, I actually have a document on my computer that I tend to wax lyrical in from time to time. I'd say it's about 50% drunk musings and 50% sober thoughts. Whenever I get a bit pensive about certain things I'll write a 'journal entry' if you will. I guess it wouldn't be too outlandish to think that such a document could end up being a book (or at least a structured canon for inquiring minds on the internet to read) one day. It certainly needs polishing though as it's currently just a ménagerie of opinions on various ideologies so as to reflect my own beliefs and general ranting. That being said, I'd be honoured to co-author a book with you House!

Perhaps :) My high school had some pretty intensive writing courses we had to take, those teachers gave no quarter when it came to marking our essays.

I am sure the fact that you went to an international level high school in HK has a lot to do with your stellar education and your writing skills. I would not be surprised if you did test "gifted". I have been on this forum for many years and read various types of forum posts and there is no one other than ID Walker who has a flair for writing like you demonstrate in your posts. Even the last post is a great example. Your parents must be so proud of you. You must have a huge amount of educated women interested in you if you express yourself like you post in real life. What is your major goal in life? What is your ultimate career choice? I have to say when I was reading your posts I thought it was like reading someone who was twice your age.

You flatter me, House, I'm very critical of myself and it's fascinating to see that I have such a profound effect on others! It's interesting, at my high school I was only considered an average student compared to my peers. I did take an online IQ test just for fun (personally I think even professional IQ tests aren't an absolute metric for intelligence, an online one is merely a game, haha!) and scored 137. I must say ID Walker sounds like a bloody novelist, he has some luscious word choice that's for sure. I admire his writing greatly!

Haha, it's true, educated women always comment on how articulate I sound, some even telling me I sound like a 40 year old trapped in a 21 year old's body, 'in a good way' though. Even women who may not be considered intelligent by others (I try to see the best in everyone though and stray away from calling others stupid) simply have said I'm quite the charmer. All very flattering and sweet comments nonetheless. It seems I leave a lasting impression on some of them too, I'll sometimes receive messages in my Facebook inbox from women I haven't talked to in months or even a year, asking when I'm returning to (insert country I've travelled to/lived in) again.

Ultimately I want to work in hospital, in the years past I had dreamed of becoming a physician but on my current path it's more likely I'll be a hospital pharmacist (although it wouldn't be unlikely for me to apply to medical school if I complete pharmacy school with good marks). If all goes well in my more senior years I may want to work as a pharmacist under contract by a pharmaceutical company (think Calvin Stevens when he worked for Parke-Davis, the man who first synthesised ketamine, tears of joy painted my face when I read an excerpt on him and the early days of ketamine's use in medicine in Dr. Karl Jansen's book "Ketamine: Dreams and Realities").

Ayy thanks! Any job you're passionate about won't feel like work (I know this from firsthand experience as a pharmacy technician), that's what makes it cool in my opinion at least.

Well said! It's funny, sometimes the smart women can tend to be the femme fatale types too, it's pretty alluring. I've always had a taste for danger so that sentiment goes double for me.

One of my favourite quotes, that and "work smart, not hard".

The Bond girls are worth a mention too. Especially Rosamund Pike's Miranda Frost character in Die Another Day, hard to believe she was in her early twenties then eh ;)

I love that quote Hook: "work smart, not hard." I use it to get through a lot of bs. One of the hottest bond girl's back in the day was Ursula Andress.

Hehe thanks Wolf! It's a quote that speaks volumes when you're surrounded by people who think the only way to get anywhere in life is to put in the hours, with some of them simply procrastinating for most of said hours. Quality over quantity simply put.

Agreed, she is the original Bond Girl after all!

If you guys wanna see some serious feelings of 'entitlement' from western women, try reading Plenty Of Fish profiles of women from Toronto... here's a couple:

If anyone finds women like this desirable, come to Toronto, Canada. Just make sure you've got hair.

Here's another gem of a Toronto woman:

I am tall and I love wearing heels (i go up to 6'1-6'2 when i go out), so I like my boys tall

Yes, she 'deserves' a tall man. But, that's half the story... I've once mentioned that Toronto is a city where both sexes are hellbent on destroying eachother... entitlement is strong on both sides. The men in this city, aren't any better. Take a look at the messages she gets (theyre posted in her profile):

To be honest, those messages are tame, I've seen MUCH worse from guys... hell, I've seen guys in Toronto say to women right in front of their boyfriends 'I want to eat you out.'
