Yes, very true. This put a ridiculous amount of pressure on us, non-mediatic people.
I remember studying thorously the Disney movies of my childhood. I dont know how old you are, but do you remember the Beauty and the Beast ? I like Belle, she is smart and kind. She gets attached to the Beast and stuff (borderline Stockholm syndrome but still). But the true happy ending ONLY happens when he's turned back into a beautiful blonde prince. Like you think there's a morality.........aaaand nope.

I am not saying that society doesn't create some standards. What I am saying is that some standards have been created by evolution such as women's preference of tall, fit men over short, obese ones. It may be impossible to change those deep seated preferences.

Restores my faith in humanity to see there's someone out there who isn't completely superficial. Seriously. I do wonder if there's anyone left who doesn't buy into this cult sometimes.

Also, remember this:

People were outraged that the guy was good looking. As if only ugly people are bad, and attractive people are always good people. When he was on trial the court artist duly drew him as an uglier and more arabic looking man:

Well if I can restore someone's faith in humanity when I'm myself almost done with the human race, I'm honoured haha.

"more arabic looking" -> :badmood:pisses me off how these racial stereoypes are also added to the picture.

Well, I was just using that show to kind of portray how things happen in real life. Haven't you ever met a woman and thought, nah not attractive enough... then after some time felt drastically different??

Yes, and I may be the ONLY guy that's openly said that on here on HairLossTalk.com. Of course, my senses run wild when I see a girl thats MY TYPE, but I won't always dismiss a girl because she's NOT my type.

idk.. actually the best sexual relationship I have ever had was with a woman I wasn't that initially attracted to. In fact, I didn't even want to go on a second date with her. As soon as I realized that she was SUPER, SUPER bad ***, things changed a lot. Somehow, I grew even more and more physically attracted to her... who knows man. Yes there are pretty definitive rules to attraction, but all rules can be defied. I'm gonna shut up now... My paranoia about being ugly when I inevitably lose my hair is turning me into an unreasonable sap. I will learn the hard way when women just start shutting me out. Oh well, my twenties were fun. F*ck life. :protest:[/QUOTE]

Those, I would say, are the best relationships where there's much more keeping you together. But I'm sure there at least some level of physical attraction if not a great physical attraction in the end,.

Well said Parisenne, its always awesome to hear from someone that genuinely blesses others simply for the sake of those they're helping.
