If you want to ask something that will tell you if people here are more worried about hair loss for getting women or just for themselves (get back confidence, self love etc..) - you can ask something like: "Would you rather have full head of hair but no sex at all?" or something like this

No that's not the same thing. Because even in the absence of having sex, in our current reality, having great hair gives you positive validation from women in other ways.

In my alternative reality, having hair would give you negative validation from women, and I'm convinced that captainforehead is right. People just aren't capable of the abstraction.

If being bald got you consistently laid with hotter chicks and constant positive validation from women, most men would absolutely want to be bald.

I am convinced the only reason men care about hair loss is women don't like it, we know this automatically, and this conditions us not to like it. Otherwise we would accept it the same we accept having more body/facial hair after puberty or a deeper voice. Our bodies naturally change over time, but we only "accept" the changes that make us more attractive to women.

Wanting to be attractive to women is one of the most fundamental drives we have as men and pretending this isn't the primary underlying cause of hairloss anxiety is being inauthentic or lacking in insight on my opinion.

Getting a thin woman to go on a date with you has become probably the hardest task in life. If you want to do well in university or get a good job, you can still study/work hard and if you pick your subject matter well, it can work out for you. But women only reward men for things we can't really control. You can't "work hard" to get around that.

One correction - nothing really changes when the woman hits 29 except most of them are by then fat. Thin 30+ year old women still won't reply if you message them or try to talk to them. I'm already there and trust me very little changes. Anything people say about career or personality mattering more for a man as you get older is a lie.

I don't think it's theoretical at all. Women don't need men for anything anymore except to as status symbols, breeding partners, and for physical gratification. To fulfill those criteria, they only want the best looking men. Since they all are applying the same basic criteria for what constitutes an "attractive man", it means you've either won the lottery (if you're in that top %) or you're sh*t out of luck if you're not.

I have no idea where this is all going or how people are going to cope.

We probably need sex robots or better VR asap. That's the only escape I can imagine for the rest of us.
