Exploring the hormonal route thread

idk I’m sorry bro, I am from the US
It doesn't matter for now anyways because I'm gonna try Ru first. It is way more expensive but at least it is really easy to get. I just want to get some information about topical bica in case ru end up not working or give me sides. Btw can I ask you how long does a 5g Ru powder last for a full coverage? I'm diffusing all over my scalp. Thanks bro.

Depends… you want to use about 5% concentration for RU. So that’s 50mg per 1mL. So you could get 100mL worth with 5000mg. If you use 2mL a day (you might if you are diffuse) then that’s 50 days worth. If you can spread out 1mL then you can make it last 100 days. But keep in mind that twice a day application is better because of the short half life…

Ok this will be very expensive, but I don't have many options for now. I'm gonna start with 1 day application to see if it is enough but if I have to use 2 times per day I either just pay lot of money or sacrifice my sides and back to save the top. At the end of the day, sides are not that bad compared to the top, which is scary how bad the diffuse thinning has become in 7 months.

I think I'm trying ru since dutas cant stop the hair loss. I just wanna maintain since pyri get released (finger crossed), but if I get sides with ru I'll try bica.
Hmmm..What is "pyri"? it is promising new drug?

Yea 'Pyri' is Pyrilutamide which will be a new topical antiandrogen that claim not to go systemic and it is supposed to be better than RU in terms of binding affinity. All that said, we have no clue about the phase 2 results so we don't even know if it will be good or a completely mess. We are all waiting for the phase 2 results which should be coming soon.

Iirc they said the results would be in by the beginning of the year… we are almost heading for the second quarter already. I hope nothing bad happened to the project

UPD:

I recently finished taking finasteride 5mg a day (and have already switched back to taking 1mg a day). That's why I'm updating my thread. Two days ago I passed tests for dihydrotestosterone as promised. And to my surprise, I found that the tests improved. New analyzes showed - 884 pg / ml.

The figure is still high as for a person taking finasteride, but at the same time, in just a month, DHT has decreased by half. Maybe the tests are wrong? The results came very quickly, a little more than a day. Do you think this is cause for concern?

I live in Kyiv and unfortunately we are at war, so I can’t visit a trichologist at the moment. Can anyone tell me if this is real? (I mean that I got the tests so quickly). And what should I do now? Like I said I went back to 1mg a day. Do I need to increase the dose back to 5?

So, a little more than a month has passed since the end of taking finasteride 5 mg and my testing for dihydrotestosterone. As I already wrote, I switched back to taking 1 milligram per day (a little more, since I divide the pill into 4 parts).
Today I received new test results and they not only do not please me, but also confuse me. Now the result is 1312. I don't understand why this is happening. Does anyone have any thoughts?

I really don't know what to do. I could say finasteride doesn't work for me, but April's test results say otherwise.

Sometimes finas/dutas just does not work. I was taking dutas for 1.5 years and it increased my T lvls while DHT remain high enough to keep damaging my follicles. It makes no sense if you ask me.

But the point is that finasteride was already lowering my dihydrotestosterone levels.

In addition, I have chronic prostatitis.Perhaps this somehow affects the increase in the level of dihydrotestosterone.
