Isn't S-equol has been tried by someone in btt before? (I'm not sure)
The results sound too good to be true.
However I think stopping loss is possible.
Anyone has idea about the possible sides?
I don't believe significant side effects were observed during Brotzu's trial. Also, it's important to note that his lotion used a specific liposomal penetration technique that an ordinary forum user wouldn't be able to replicate.

In the trial they had 4 groups (all with a differently composed lotions - variations of PGE-1, s-equol, DGLA)

Group 1 had the most significant (and fastest) results (using lotion A)

Lotion A contained these ingredients:
- Phosphatidylcholine (Lipid S75 Humangrade) 1 g
- DGLA 1.25 mg
- S-Equol 7 mg
- Ethanol 1 ml
- L-propionylcarnitine 7 mg
- Stearylamine 30 mg (<- this is the variation in Lotion A, the 3% stearylamine )
- Sterile water 5 ml

Trial Group 1 composition for Lotion A:
10 (6 male, 4 female) patients treated for 120 days with 1 ml/day of Lotion A to be applied on a well defined area of the scalp;

Results for Group 1:
Day 7 : group 1 experiences a reduction of hair loss, defined "substantial" by patients of group 1
Day 20:
in group 1 all the patients have stopped losing hair and report the presence of a substantial fuzz.
Day 45: in group 1, fuzz has grown markedly stronger and takes the colour and consistency of natural hair.
Day 90: in group 1 all the patients report total disappearance of hair reduction areas that have been replaced by robust and shiny hair. (almost sounds too good to be true + after only 90 days)
Day 120: group 1 confirms results already seen at day 90.

Little footnote about Lotion A vs Lotion B and how Lotion A contains 30% less active substance (dgla) and works better
Again, it should be recalled that Lotion B contains PGE1 and equol in 1:1 ratio, while Lotion A contains 30% less of active substance (DGLA) . This means that the findings of the present invention exert an unexpectedly superior effect than what known, at markedly lower concentrations of active substances.

Five years of regrowth was typical.

Looks like a classic case of dose dependency. I think it's reasonable to see significant hair regrowth after 90 days. Hair grows at 1 cm per month. It would make even more sense if this substance contained a vasilodator. Anyway, great work giving an exellent summarization of the trial.

In the original articles on the topic, you can probably find it in the early days of the thread.

Day 90: in group 1 all the patients report total disappearance of hair reduction areas that have been replaced by robust and shiny hair.

I'm assuming this is part getting everyone excited. It's so vague and ambiguous though. I want to see some hair counts.

The study didn't seem to go too in-depth on the exact results. Originally this was discouraging, but after reading the entire study, I can tell his mock trial was anything but amateur.

I'm just going to quietly say (+ prematurely). Five years of regrowth, along with a sustainable maintenance capability, would be a complete game changer
for millions of male pattern baldness sufferers. For early cases in particular (who are good responders): a preemptive life saving triumph.

Hopefully it doesn't give side effects like blindness, penile cancer, and schizophrenia.

Hahah given our luck I wouldn't rule it out.

On a more serious note. I believe he said no significant side effects were observed in the trial. So at least that rules out immediate sexual disfunction!

Fidia says they'll be running an internal safety and efficacy trial that will end around mid to late 2017. It uses DGLA so it won't be classified as a medication.

Man, 3 years' worth of regrowth would get me back to bangable; 5 years' would just be insane. I'd probably feel slightly guilty over all that NW1 megathickage.
Y'all better stop tantalizing me though. :D

I had this exact hair, except black, in my early twenties. I hate all of you! I am now going to go cry in my bathtub.

Please don't cry BuckT. It can dramatically increase your chances of acquiring gyno.
