It might be cultural.
Italians tend to be perfectionists. Italians take a lot of pride in their work when creating something.
There is a reason why a garment manufactured in Italy will last you twenty years and cost a fortune while same item manufactured in China will fall apart after a few wears.
Its not just manufacturing its everything in Italy food, art, design
--Maybe science world its like this too i don't know.
That´s some ridiculous stereotypes, you appear to be really narrow minded. Italian cars for instance are of really poor quality: Fancy, expensive and unreliable.

Lol, Spato definetly is not a perfectionist.

As someone who has to do business with Italians semi-regularly, I gotta agree with this a bit. They tend to be a little unreliable as business partners, seemingly moving at their own pace and damn the rest. Even the Swiss people living in Tessin agree and can't stand it when they're likened to Italians. They're also a bit prone to drama and blowing things out of proportion. Of course, to the rest of the world, the Swiss might as well appear as robots in comparison.

Well, I personally don´t believe in or care about stereotypes, but the claim that the lotion hasn´t been released because of Italian perfectionism is just too funny. But I was serious about Italian cars. Though I think it is absolutly the right thing to take people´s money if they are willing to pay for an overpriced product. But I think this is too much OT. Viva Italia (......if Brotzu gets my hair back)!

the fiats we drive in the US are not similar to the fiats they drive in italy. Chrysler has taken over production of fiats in the US

I don't know if the original poster of that ridiculous 'Italians are perfectionistic' quote is Italian but I work together with quite a lot of Italians at my job and the only things that they all have in common are:

- A lot of drama
- Bad work
- Lazy
- They all claim to be good in bed because 'they are Italian', they all claim to be good with women because 'they are Italian' and they all claim to be amazing cooks 'because they are Italian'.

Last week I made the mistake to compliment one of them on their lasagna. She gave me a look like I just offended her, followed by 'come on amore... I am from Italy'

*CRINGE*

But hey, that is just my impression of the ones that I know:).

He stereotyped them, and then you just did the same exact thing on the other end of the spectrum.

The truth is always somewhere in the middle.

I do find that there is a difference in work ethic among nationalities and I honestly find a lot of it comes down to whether the country has military conscription or not.

I worked with a lot of people from Israel, some Colombians etc. and these people were the hardest working, take no sh*t from anyone, mother fuckers I ever met. I think this is likely responsible for the continued "Jews are hungry for money" stereotype that persists even today; these people would stand, 12 hours a day doing their mundane jobs and never once b**ch about it because they're getting paid. They were always funding their next vacation somewhere and they would take any job. I knew this one girl, she could've easily been a model if she wanted to, all she wanted to do was work on the oil rigs. Not in a desk, she wanted to be out there with the guys, pulling as much weight as she could, making lots of money in the process.

The Colombians were much the same. Good sense of humor but when it came to work, they were no-nonsense and weren't afraid to work hard. They also liked to travel and could speak a lot of languages; one guy I knew had lived in 14 different countries.

Compare that with so many Canadians. They won't take most the vast majority of jobs, but then b**ch that immigrants have taken them all. I know so many people out here who refuse to work anything that isn't the oilfield and pays $20 - 40 because "that's what they're worth!". They will happily sit on EI until "the patch" picks up again. When the economy went right to hell earlier this year, I saw this one guy post on Facebook that he was looking for work, but if it wasn't at least $20 an hour "It isn't worth my time tbh". Like, unemployment is at an all time high...

TL;DR: People who've been forced to serve military services in countries frequently at war tend to be more disciplined in general — go figure.

I clearly mentioned that I was only refering to the ones at my job.

You guys are a bunch of drama queens

First off i am American from NYC.

Secondly i am a woman

Thirdly I am an art director in the film industry and have worked with artists from around the world

Is it a stereo type? yes.

Can i be wrong? probably just going off my own life experience.

But for fucks sake everything on this forum is a f*****g piss contest.

I'd like to think this is really well veiled satire, but in a world where Donald Trump is President of the US, I guess anything is possible.
