It's supposedly known on the Italian forums that Brotzu has stated he personally knows beps. I hope this comes out this summer somehow and saves a lot of our asses, until then I'm strict minoxidil until a new treatment arises.

The statement in English on Fidia's English site
http://www.fidiapharma.com/en/news/prof-brotzu-s-hair-loss-remedy,3,115

The lotion is for all forms of Alopecia it says it clearly in the statement below, note the text in bold that says "Alopecia... all patients who are affected by the problem"

"Alopecia (hair loss) is not a life-threatening disease, nevertheless it can cause serious distress in people. Fidia has made a strong commitment to research and development, to offer all patients who are affected by the problem, a real treatment option – effective, safe and stable – at the end of the entire study."

In 2018 the "potential product candidate" will hopefully be completed, so who knows when the final product will be available to buy, 2019?? anyways at the very least a year and a half from now.

"neither exact launch plans nor time-to-market priorities have been defined for the product yet, although we envisage the development of the potential product candidate being completed by 2018."

JLC, thats exactly how i read that too. Development will be done by the end of this year but they didn't say jackshit about when it'll be marketed. Potential product candidate haha. Potential. Like they don't even know if it'll make it to market. They sound about as clueless on this lotion as we do

I really do appreciate them giving some sort of formal announcement, but there's no way in hell they could have been any more vague, so again we're left to do nothing but speculate on their meaning.

I on the other hand am not so optimistic there seems to be some kind of issue that they haven't resolved yet and they just threw 2018 randomly so they can be safe on their estimations could be december 2018.

I think we all jumped off the hype train. We are more realistic now, which is fine but not that much fun. I definetely need my hype back. Where is uncle beps when you need him! Sad but understandable that he doesn't want to post anymore.

Sorry if I missed it, but did that AA facebook women talked to Brotzu yet?

It's hard for me to find any, but I can give you a little reason for optimism. Late 2015 early 2016 there was an announcement of a skin and hair product called Reason To Believe.
Don't get too excited, they don't have anything that will regrow hair but they were going to offer new cosmetic products to the masses.
The reason I'm telling you this it's because if you do a search for Reason to Believe cosmetics you will see that it still doesn't look like they're selling their products yet. It looks like one of their last update was in April of 2016. I believe all their development is done it just needs to be produced and marketed, but it seems that takes awhile too.
They have filed trademarks and patents and i believe they have lots of products they can sell but it's almost been a year since we've last heard of them. I don't think that means that they're dead and it's never coming out. I think that just means that even for a basic cosmetic it takes a lot of work to get something on the market.

So the reason I brought this example up is just because Fidia is really taking their time with this doesn't mean that it's dead.
Trust me, they give me other warning signs that worry me a lot more, such as originally using areata in their press statement, supposedly testing only on women with AA, and not showing us one man with male pattern baldness who's been on the treatment. Those things worry me. The fact that it might take a while doesn't worry me especially if we relate it to how long other companies take to get things on the market.

We need to get some of their clinical data to see what we're dealing with whenever that may come out. If those results show anything positive for male pattern baldness really don't even worry about the wait, our biggest concern right now is DOES IT WORK FOR male pattern baldness. If it does everything else will fall into place

Have you worked in corporate? If so, you should know that PR people in corporate are usually those who know the least about the company they work for.
They exist only because the people who actually know things don't have time to also write press releases.

I agree and that's probably the reason we got such a crappy and ambiguous response from them that had to be edited hours later. But still all It did is create more confusion amongst us.
Really all I wanted from them was their acknowledgment of the product.

I just didn't think it could be any more of a shitshow than it already was lol

Of course they are clueless since THEY DID NOT COLLECT ANY DATA from the trial which is performed by a third-party. How can they know?
Do you prefer them to deliver empty promises so your emotional behavior can cope with your shape?

Yes, apparently Brotzu said he will not be sharing any more information, and the only info that will be released is from official Fidia statements. He also asked for everyone to stop asking questions, and to stop discussing this. In there he mentioned something about legalities, which I presume he is under a legal contract to not to talk openly about this.

I am still optimistic, especially given all the the positive results we've heard so far, but coming here hoping for more news each day is making me impatient.

I dont think we'll hear anything before the end of March I suspect, given that we heard that the Androgenetic Alopecia research results were only being submitted to Fidia at the end of Feb. That's almost 3 months from now, it's a long time.

Im sure many here have put this at the back of their heads, and so lets keep on going on with our lives, and hope that maybe in the next few months we'll have some more news. Until then, unfortunately no amount of chatter will change this.

It's just an estimation, and they've never said the product will be out in 2018

People need to stop taking these estimated deadlines as hard promises of commercialization.

We have almost two decades of experience in hair loss forums and people still fall to the same traps when it comes to scams or promising products

The level of hype for this product was unwarranted
