i sure we could find a stat of profecia use somewhere.

thsi can illustrate what's going on.

also that rogain foam has adverts and they sell it in boots these days in the UK, im pretty sure people want to get their hair back and people want it to be socially acceptable to do "something" about your hairloss.

its just that the whole transplants/toupeys route is a bit wierd/not normal, if rogain worked it would be like just for men hair dye, for men that go grey in thier 30s its socialy ok to die your hair with the just for men adverts and they sell them in boots, but to get your hair back if your balding in your 20s is not normal, if rogain worked we'd be set, but the only true way to get your hair back fully is with transplants/toupeys.

fact is a sh*t load of people want to not be balding in 20s, far more than people that die their hair black if their greying in 30s, its just that it's done in secret.

id say about 1 in 10 young balding men do something about their hairloss, it was that stat in the 70s, its just that you don't know.

well time magazine said in the 1970s 10% of young balding guys were wearing wigs.

so umm...yeah id say about 30% of people wear wigs or get hair transplants these days.

I'm afraid that I dont think your guesses really count for much. If that was true the wig/hair transplant industry in Britain alone would be worth £100's billions.
Theres probably only about a dozen or so hair transplant clinics in the UK, they must all have about a 10 yr waiting list.

well time magazine did say that, 10% in the US were wearing toupeys in the 70s.

that was a very unforgiving era to be bald. hippies, long hair and all that sh*t.

More respect for Alexander for being honest about it... people like him and Rooney are the best p.r bald guys can ask for!

i wish some other celebs would come out about wearing wigs, people like Stalone, Ben Aflek, Travolta and most important of all... Enrique Iglasias!

I agree we need more of these guys on our side, lol!

Back to topic, recalling his pr announcement, you can tell that although he stated mostly professional reasons, I can't help but feel like he was tired of being type casted as a bald man in life, for personal reasons. He was just plain sick of just being that bald guy in general and I for one can sympathize.

Playing 'that bald guy' has served him well over the years, but lets face it even with the wig he's still not going to get cast in any action hero/romatic lead type rolls.
I really cant understand it, its like Larry David suddenly deciding to wear a wig.
A 22 yr old NW3 who's one day headed towards NW6 starting to wear a wig? That I can understand. But a middle aged guy who the world knows is bald?

Lol as if he's going to get any more poontang by sticking on a wig.
I'd say he's likely to get less if anything.

IDK he's a famous millionaire actor. I doubt he's got the young bimbo's chasing after him but I expect he can attract a fairly decent woman simply because he's a successful guy.
I highly doubt the wig is going to do anything more for him, he just goes from being a overweight middle aged bald guy to an overweight middleaged bald guy with a wig on. Its not like the wig turns him into a babe magnet.

To be fair hes not a bad looking man. He doesnt really have anything 'wrong' with him and hes also an incredibly talented actor and singer (as well as being loaded) hes done a tonne of broadway shows as well as starring in one of the biggest comedy shows in history and one that actually deserves the level of attention it gets. Thats the pop culture equivilent of samuel beckett right there. Genius stuff.

Talent, charisma and success (and money) are all very attractive to many women. I doubt very much he is a player but I bet he gets nice women. The kind of women who have enough about them to see through his baldness and shortness but not deep enough that they would countenence a life on the couch with me! They want to eat in a nice restaurant and fill the car up with gas without scraping the change in the ashtray
