Don't expect something miraculous in terms of hair from CB. It's just a side-free, probably weaker version of RU.

I've been talking to professionals in the field of male pattern baldness (dermatologists, pharmacists specialized in compounding), and they (who are not street joes like us) all expect that CB will be the real breakthrough. They know it, probably much better than the usual paper that we might google around.

The problem is: what are we using? which %? (might be too low, but also too high). The vehicle is probably a non-issues.

That said, I've just got the FT-IR analysis of 2 Kane batches and 1 WHP (Hengheda) batch.
The 2 kane batches have a high correlation (i.e. are the same thing), and have a low correlation with the WHP one. I.e., it's something different... probably a different molecule, or the same in different proportions (impurities).

This does not tell us nothing (yet) about which one is legit, but at least one is not.

Yeah I think it will be a good maintenance treatment when if/it eventually comes to market (2021 projected date or something. No idea why on earth its taken 10 years to bring a topical anti-androgen to market). Then hopefully we can use it in huge doses (5%-10% daily) which is way too expensive right now.

the real problem is that we don't know what we're using.

Correct. And unfortunately my friend can't do NMR, which he confirmed is the only way to be pretty sure even when you have no reference.

I expect no effects for at least 6 mos due to its mechanism of action being related to androgens, and the time my hair cycle roughly takes when going through sheds.

I'm willing to put in 750$ for a 6/mo supply if that's what stops my hair from falling out side-free. finasteride completely solved my problem except for the intolerable side effects after 7 mos use. May have to discontinue minoxidil due to circulatory system sides. It's a bummer but CB, at its insane price, is the last good shot I have. If it doesn't work, well, I've gambled away more money on lower stakes. It's worth a try.

i won' stop until i find the proper cb. maybe you're on the right path, but i'll take the time to write a more complere thread on this about our GB experience.

Experience so far is that I've noticed nothing. This is good RE: sides. But I don't know if this is CB, and it seems like it will be impossible to know until we find someone who can run an NMR.

CB is likely only to have ONE side effect; skin atrophy. But not likely, it is a very weak steroid.

It doesnt go systemic because once it hits the bloodstream it rapidly metabolizes and becomes ineffective.

To my knowledge CB is metabolized into cortodoxone, which is later converted to either cortisol or androstenedione. It is therefore a possibility that the CB can affect cortisol levels. Elevated cortisol levels can result in side effects.

yes PG 5%, transcutol 2% and the rest ethanol. 2,5 ml per day with 50mg CB (Kane). Daily batches.

Btw, not happy at all tonight. It's been days on and off from the feeling I'm slowly losing ground. It takes weeks to be sure, but today I'm pretty sure it's not helping me maintain. Minimum shedding, so it's not an effluvium.
I'd also report the case of a friend of mine, on the same batch (just reported this on HLH, as well): he's a lot of itching, which can only calm with finasteride (but he can't take it). In the first 2 weeks on the new CB batch, the itching completely disappeared, healthy scalp, etc. (45mg in 2ml per day).
Then the effectiveness of CB started fading... less and less hours itching-free, until it stopped working completely.
Then, he suspended the CB for 4-5 day, started it again, and it was back working a bit.

What do you think? upregulation of ARs? unstable powder?

Hi @hilbert,
I just received my 5grams of CB and i want to start as soon as possible. I want to order my vehicle components (should have done that earlier, but i didn't expect to receive it this soon).

Is your vehicle still PG 5%, transcutol 2% and the rest ethanol. 2,5 ml per day with 50mg CB?
If so, can you tell me how often you make batches and where you buy transcutol?

Any updates Dolph?
Yes; and sorry for the delay, all. Sometimes taking a break from this forum is a healthy thing.

I have seen significant regrowth on my hairline and temples -- no miracles, but solid regrowth and maintenance -- but I can't attribute it to CB because I've been using minoxidil as well. Possible synergistic effect, possible no-effect. Didn't have any sides as I went through the gram, which is promising because I got finasteride sides very early. For now I'm losing < 10 hairs in the shower per day, from 30-50 during my worst natural shedding (no minoxidil).

I'm excited to see if any more hair comes back in the coming months. At the very least, if I can maintain as I am currently, I would be a good candidate for a couple of ~500 graft FUE procedures over 10 years or so, I think. I have very, very thick hair, but it's not very dense on top anymore. I wouldn't need to move a whole lot of follicles for an improvement. But I also don't know how quickly I will lose the rest of my hair, so I don't want to over-harvest a donor area jut yet.

sometimes PG 4% + transcutol 3%, sometimes BG 10% + transcutol 5%. We don't know the proper vehicle yet, so I try to vary the vehicle.
I do batches for 1-3 days, but up to 2 weeks at cool temp it should be fine, as I reported from the stability NMR tests.

At my 6 month mark on-CB / off-finasteride today.
Still shedding for my effluvium (mostly terminal hair, all over my head), but, surprisingly, density did not drop so far; at least not as it used to do when such a long effluvium occurred on finasteride.
