Just Came Back From A High School Reunion

Anyway nobody batted an eyelid when a guy here used a picture of his abs for his avatar, but of course when a woman posts a picture of her body it's an outrage. But I don't want to make people upset with my avatar of course, so I changed it for you.

This forum has mostly male members, hence no "outrage". Btw. I was fine with your avatar, because to me it revealed what type of person you (most likely) are (same would count for the guy showing his abs, of course.....)

I understand what you mean. I don't want to step on anyone's toes so I'll use neutral avatars from now on, don't want to rub my body in people's face if they would rather not see it. However, I don't think I mention that I'm (formerly) attractive much anymore, so I don't know why that would bother certain people on here. I just wish we could co-exist on this forum, male or female, attractive or unattractive. I happen to be attractive (except the hair of course), but that doesn't define who I am as a person. I wish certain members here would understand that I'm not here to hurt anybody, I'm simply here because I'm hurting because of my hair loss and I need to talk about it.

Look, the takeaway is that you can do whatever you want. Maybe my cool NW1 silhouette avatar bothers someone who wishes they could look like that (I don't even look like that), but I'm not going to change it because their feelz are hurt. If you want to show off your body on a forum avatar, then why do you feel like you need to accomodate someone who might take issue with that? Let me just say that if you have any actual haters here they are going to keep on doing that regardless of what you say or do, because you may just be an 'exit valve' for them, you know? A way to vent frustration and anger. It's sad but sometimes you run into people like that.

Like, the very fact that you are female and good looking is going to be enough to draw some negative attention in this place. This isn't just unique to you though. Male members who are of lower norwood levels and just starting to lose their hair are also taking flak from the 'veterans' who are completely bald and jaded as f***. The balder and more miserable you are in this place, the more 'street cred' you get. It's like a rite of passage of sorts.

So you know, don't take anything here too seriously and do whatever the hell you want. It's an internet forum, for god's sake.

Am I a horrible person for being proud of my body? Nobody here knows me in my daily life, or what kind of person I am. Not you, not Dante.
