99 percent of people care about their hair loss. They just choose to accept that they will be an inferior them. I dont want to become an inferior me.

YET none of the treatments are covered by health insurance???? Boggling

Video games are NOT a way to distract yourself. In "my opinion" calling video games a hobby is not correct, unless you CREATE video games.
Try to find a passion that is confidence building and sets you aside.
I always say to pick an instrument. Girls dig musicians, and people are always impressed by them. Plus you can be bald and weird and people just consider you eccentric.... JUST NOT BASS. NEVER BASS!

Guess it depends on the parent. I know mine would never do it, but we grew up with zero money. Chances are my mother would have probably just picked on me over it, that was her way of dealing with crap like that. I think she believed it built character. Ive been bitching about hairloss since I was in highschool and my issues were ignored. My sis listens to me complain about it all the time but when there isnt much you can do it will usually fall on deaf ears or be rebutted with a disingenuous compliment. "Oh your brother may have hair but hes a moron, at least you have a better personality".... OH JOY, a better personality! Hoo-RAY!

Either way Im not picking on you but you have a REALLY bad habit on here of thinking your outcome is everyones option. While I believe you have to "try" before you can whine I give you credit for your initiative but I also say you were pretty anti procedure for a while. So dont make it seem like your great outcome is everyone's option and opportunity. Its a falsified reason to be arrogant.
Its the equivalent of of guys who have GREAT results with finasteride and say everyone can YET both you and I can not take it. They preach its great results because of THEIR great results but our experiences differ.
why can't video games be a hobby?

one of the few things i am proud of over the past few years is getting great at the zombies part of call of duty. i got to level 88 in ascension and can get to 50+ in most default levels of Black Ops 1 and 2.

hobby on merriam webster's dictionary website is defined as "a pursuit outside one's regular occupation engaged in especially for relaxation".

so that means you can stop putting down video games as a hobby, it is obviously still a hobby. it can't just be in your "opinon". words have definitions, and the definition of a word is the way you are supposed to use it (by definition lol).

and they do help me distract myself. just because it may not help you does not mean it can't help anyone else. i swear people like you who denigrate anybody different piss me off

condescending is what it is.

How did you found this percent? Do you have a source to some study?

Accepting baldness= NOT feeling inferior.
Hmm, seems that you can';t detach from the superficial point of view:looks are everything
This conception A PERSON=HIS LOOKS, is just ridiculous and extremely superficial.
But i don't blame you, for your age, it's very common.

Im not putting it down, if its what you enjoy then its what you enjoy but you should pick up a hobby that sets you apart from other people as well. The gym, music, MMA, cars, motorcycles, local film groups (if thats your thing) anything that can get you out of the house and into a group that shares your interests regardless of your "situation" and into the real world with a skill that is somewhat impressive. Im saying this to help you get "some" self esteem.

If you can use video games to do this then do it but judging by your other post about girls in GameStop, I dont think you are prepared to do so. People use gaming as a seclusive crutch these days, using online play as a form of socializing.

Im not trying to be condescending but speaking from experience.

Im 34 going on 35, I STILL care about looking good and hair loss. I work out a lot and keep my body in shape. I do this because I enjoy it and always liked the attention from women a good physique got me. Since my hair loss really exploded the last few years Ive quickly noticed that attention diminishing and now regardless of my bodily appearance I rarely get attention from attractive girls. Why should I settle for less that what I am "biologically" attracted to just because I have this predisposed "condition"?
And If I am just going to settle then WHY would I bother hitting the gym as seriously anymore? Get the oxy moron Im building here?

Every guy wants to think they would have a perfect 10 if they had the hair, in all seriousness we'd be lucky to land a 6.... but now were rubbing alcohol in our eyes to deal with 3's. Also it depends on what kind of mutual connection you are looking for

anything that can get you out of the house

That sounds weird. I don't know, but i'm out of the house 8-10 hours a day at work/other stuff. Even in weekends i work from home.
Most here speak like they don't have anything else to do besides worrying for hair loss, or, hanging out in clubs or parties.
Well, then consider yourself lucky. I have to work hard (for a living mainly), and barely have time for fun or hobbies.

I work a regular 8 hour day mon-fri
I also own rentals I am at CONSTANTLY. My entire spring/summer/fall went down the tubes last year working on them.
I am also solo fixing the house I bought for me 3 years ago still.

I am a very busy boy but
I Hit the gym 3-4 days a week = out of the house
Play music, and have been actively searching for new players to meet = out of the house
Like to run = out of the house
Like to hike = out of the house
Ride and work on my motorcycle = very fun
Like to hit a bar here and there = also out of the house
Like to go to shows = out of the house

The first 5 can be considered active sociable ways to get out and meet other people and get your mind off stuff

That's your choice.

I hate when people pull out that card: "I work hard", so what?

I work 9 hours a day and I have a master to finish at the same time, and the time I put in my work might virtually be forever lost.

What do I gain from all this? Possibly two lines on my resume. While other people are socializing, partying, enjoying their free time.

But again it's my choice to do that. I work hard and have almost no free time because I'm stupid enough to think that it will matter.

Then I see the NW1 douchebags who are unemployed, play the Xbox and get high all day, and they get the hot 10 girlfriend who pays them a BMW (I did not make that up).

Working hard, yeah right, what a scam.

Yeah, you're kind of right.
But, on long term, i think you'll be better than the douchebags mentioned.
I don't know in your country, but here in eastern europe the situation is fvcked. The salaries are ridiculous(for much work), and the prices and utilities are sky-high.
I would like to have more free time, go to parties, clubs, but then...i wouldn't even have money to pay my consumation at the bar. So you may reconsider, it's not a choice all the time.
Buuut,, i'm glad i have a job, there are tons of unemployed people.
That's w
hy i really get amused when i see here dudes from much wealthy countries, whose only "worries" are attending parties and "going out" and "having fun".

yea i guess i see your point swingline. a hobby to connect me with others.

and yea thats true. the movies always tell us you are entitled to the princess and 10/10 but really you are not. i hate it especially when they depict the nerd getting the super cute preppy girl that has nothing in common with them (COUGH SAM RAIMI'S SPIDER-MAN COUGH)

it really is making us entitled in that we feel like we deserve the pretty girl just cause.

hard pill to swallow though.
