This is so funny.
Baldshaming incident angers most users here. Even a small baldshaming incident receives standing ovation,30 pages of bald discrimination posts while its okay to insult guys calling them manlet.

I do think this is at least worth looking at, but we also regularly use the terms "balcel" "gymcel" (in relation to bald copers who work out) etc. so I think you're being a bit sensitive.

It is interesting though, we get so angry at society making fun of baldness when in our own way we do it 1000 times more on this forum than we could ever pick out from social situations and the media.

Fair enough Exo, but the rest of us who may be bordering on attractive or average, also drop these bombs.

you get permission from me as long as its not done in an insulting manner :)

Thanks! But I'm re-evaluating whether I should say such things at all, not to censor other people, but the original point was that we do mock the genetically unfortunate far more than the media and society combined.

You're a great person Exodus, always open and honest.

thanks :)

and idk i guess it does seem sort of reactionary against blue pillism but its still what society thinks of us, whether or not we are offended

I'm 5'6.5" and can say that gyming and facial hair has worked wonders for me, makes sure you look like a man and not a little boy; someone who can take care of himself, and her. I rarely get called out for my height - most people when the topic comes up put me in the 5'8"-5'10" range. It's obvious I'm not six foot, but I think if you're 5'6"ish with decent posture then you're good - the whole 5'6" - 5'10" range is pretty muddied waters. Especially with women as in that height range you're going to be mostly slightly taller than them, at which point they stop deeply scrutinising you for your height, before you get to over six foot in which height as an attractive feature kicks in. Only women who will be able to tell your height with accuracy is taller women 5'8"+ since they are also self-conscious of it and the obvious knowing of their own height in comparison to yours if you're shorter than them.

If you're sub 5'10 with a bad posture, fixing your posture is easily one of the easiest things you can do to improve yourself.

I'm 5'9 but when standing around with my mates I can look as tall as my 5'11 mates because of my posture. Also makes your shoulders look wider and makes you look more dominant/comfortable with yourself.

I fixed mine by doing the following exercise everyday, combined with sitting correctly and standing correctly every time I think about it.

Sorry to get all up myself and re-quote but here's what I wrote earlier in the thread about the importance of posture:

Here's an important aspect to gymcelling: posture. Means so much in terms of height.

I've been in the gym for about 4 months now, doing squats, deadlifts etc. you are constantly aware of your posture and form. I know this is sounding ridiculous to some, but when you are aware of your body, you stand upright, you feel like you're floating instead of walking clunkily like I did only a short time ago. Even now typing this I'm sitting upright forward reaching to my laptop with a straight back which is natural to me, I've got a cushion behind my back for when I lean back, not because I feel this is some chore I have to do, but because it feels better to me now. My chair in the office is literally 30 degrees more upright than it was before. If I temporarily sit on someone else's chair to do something I wonder how the f*** anyone sits like this.

Without the gym exercises I'd be sitting back at a ridiculous angle right now, feet up, laptop on thighs, I'd be in the office practically horizontal. I still get soreness from exercises but this passes quickly, I never get inexplicable back pains anymore that lasted for days (which of course I thought was natural, it shouldn't be).

The point? Only losing 10 pounds shouldn't transform you to looking like you're in "great shape" which I'm consistently getting compliments on now, the only difference is that my posture has pushed up my shoulder, legs, my general height, pulled in my gut (which by the way is the reason so many middle aged men have terrible belly's protruding, it's literally their internal organs pushing forward from their shoulders pushing their rib cage down) and now I appear to be 6 feet tall. Even guys who are into fitness have asked why I seem so much taller now.

Also on the OP's point, thicker neck, chest, fore arms and biceps, definitely give the illusion of a more masculine and taller guy.

This is not a cope, only guys who are average height, who have subhuman genetics they won't improve (because it's hard), and want to believe it's 1 point for them, would say that.

But on the other hand, a 5'5 guy being seen as nearly 6 foot? That's similar to the penis enlargement emails I get in the junk folder. C'mon.

As SmoothSailing just wrote, you can gain 2-3 inches in height.

The initial problem however? That video he posted will initially give you major double chin, for anyone above 15% body fat.

Because the back/crown of your head goes back further in that stance, aligning with the spine and vertical neck, it takes a bit of time to get used to that and maybe even filming yourself to get it right.

The term "gymcel" is a cope on the part of posters who are too lazy to go to the gym. They convince themselves that going to the gym is a waste of time for everybody, that there's never any benefit to exercise.

In theory it means that people who go to the gym are doing so to compensate for their celibacy and not succeeding, but in practice that doesn't work as people who go to gyms tend to get laid more than those who don't.
Wow, so going to the gym and taking pride in how you look and just wanted to have overall better health looks is a bad thing? And "we're compensating?" Well that's a new low for some of you miserable c****, so you can't stand other people actually wanting to do something about their appearance and the same time better their health, but you want to sit around with your hands on your lap waiting for the "miracle" cure? Lol

My apologies if it comes off towards you, not my intention, this is for the posters who actually use the term gymcel.
