My Family Constantly Rips On Bald People And You Ask Why I Don't Shave?

I dislike how overly vain my family is. Almost EVERY time a bald man comes on TV, there is some "funny" comment made by one of them. Even my nephews have started making snarky comments. The thing is, all of them are either almost completely bald, or will be in a few years. I don't stand for bullshit, so I always call them out, but they keep doing it. I don't say anything regarding baldness, but tell them to stop being so f*cking vain. HOW do you shave your head, when shaved heads are the bane on your families existence?

yeah, super close. I live only ten minutes from all of them and we have always been very close. IDK man.... I KNOW it shouldn't matter. If your family loves you, they should no matter what. If ANYTHING, my grief over all this should be WAY more of a burden on them then the "solution" to it. Of course, they know nothing about how much this bothers me.

I stopped meds for half year, i lossed all gains + started to diffuse almost to NW6. Then i jumped back on 0.5mg eod and 1ml minoxidil ed/eod. I got thickening back + i am filling to NW1.5 again. Sometimes i even skip finasteride for 3 days... I know there is no rule at all but...

By works i mean pull of the look. But by no mean do I mean it's attractive, and desirable. Simply means you can manage and live through the motions. Which is fine for some, but for me... it's no way to live in your prime. I like being desirable, and having women confess to me how much they want me.

finasteride is for maintenance. Once it's slick, it does fcuk all for the follicles on top. Even if you get on it late, it might just maintain poor hair on top that's it. Think @Exodus2011 once wrote it just maintained spider web hair on top so he just stopped. No point taking a pill for life unless the gains are good. You have tons of hair, totally different.

Sometimes the decisions we take in life have repercussions for our entire future. Taking the pill is similar and that's why all newbies should give it a go and see if they get sides. Transplants on their own can't replicate native hair in most cases, even with thick insane donor, it's almost as good but not quite. Also with aggressive hair loss finasteride might buy a decade but in the end you still lose. Still a decade is a good amount of time. Fullish hair till 30 is better than bald as a kid.

I wish I started minoxidil sooner. Been religiously applying it for the last six months, and it has thickened my entire scalp.

Yes you had and have it real tough from early on - this is very rare among those with male pattern baldness.

But Buckthorn can only look at his situation from his perspective. And shaving it is really really hard - it's the end of one chapter of your life and beginning of another, particularly for Buck with looks who was used to hot girls chasing him. Sure he's in his 30s but he's still young enough, in some ways he's your typical male pattern baldness sufferer and not being unreasonable at all.

You got through it with great difficulty and it's still troublesome or you wouldn't be on here. The bitter "advantage" you had is you went slick early on rapidly so you had no choice but to see yourself shaved like that from a young adult onward. For those who have to "transition" as adults the change in looks is quite dramatic and is distressing/depressing.

Of course no one is disputing you had it harder overall.

^ this is what i am talking about. I am not complaining about it being the "end of the world" and I know it won't. Despite all my bitching on here, I am a very resilient person. I have been through horrendous things that would just kill most coddled people that live in my suburb. Hairloss, for me at least, is worst than all of them combined. It seems the death of my youth. I am NOT married. I have no prospects right now. I WANT a semi attractive woman. But being bald for someone like me is LITERALLY the difference between looking 30 and looking 45. That doesn't go for everyone. Some people look the same age, or like 5 years older... but I know for fact that I look about 30-32 with decent hair covering part of my forhead and I look 40-45 with it buzzed.

So @WhitePolarBear - despite how old you are, how does that not kind of kill you inside? When you know you'll get disrespect from your own family and, even more importantly, when you know that you can probably no longer pull attractive women that are in their late 20's and early 30's? It's like going from life to near death. It's easy to say, "just do it and you will see that it's not the end of the world"... but what good is that when the world of love is apocalyptic, dark and empty?

I'm afraid my gynecomastia episode was too traumatic, I grew boobs in less than a month with a psychiatric drug.

There's no way I'm going to risk that again. I also trusted my intuition not to take the drug way before that, and that gyno incident proved to me that I was right somehow.

My doctor concluded that I was very sensitive to hormonal changes. I'm not even comfortable with the idea of using RU so you can imagine how wary I am of hormone-altering drugs.

I'm 28 now. I was not able to take finasteride, minoxidil gave me one extra year of (the appearance of) hair when I was 21. I've had two FUE hair transplants, 4000 grafts in total, I only have 700-800 grafts left. I was half-bald from the age of 19 to 21. Fully bald from the age of 22 to 24. Since then despite spending around 12000€ on minoxidil and surgeries, I will not be able to fully cover my NW6 and my density at the front will be OK-looking at best.

I have balding like my father.. half way down the sides and half way down THE BACK OF THE HEAD. about 50% density on sides and back now, see through. about 20% density on top. These are legit stats, BRO. finasteride DOES NOT WORK FOR ME.
