My Family Constantly Rips On Bald People And You Ask Why I Don't Shave?

I never dated any women as a young teenager or even had a relationship in my early twenties. it wasn't until a couple years ago did I manage to have my first relationship.
Same.

I only ever had one girlfriend until 25. It wasn't until I was 25 that I began to turn it around.

Between the ages of 26 to 29 I was a bit of a man wh*** because I was always compensating for feeling like I was some loser.

you all don't remember a goddamn single thing correctly. That's the problem. Shook is a sexy slayer that has a full head of hair and makes six figures... yet, he's trolling on a hair loss forum every day? and HE is giving ME sh*t for posting my ACTUAL experience?? yeah ok.

y'all are dispensable trolls that contribute nothing. the REAL posters are the one's that said (and i am quoting)... "If I were you I would be very worried", and "your diffused thinning looks like the plague" and "that's some seriously aggressive thinning for a couple years"... and THAT was almost TWO years ago! BEFORE, i was balding down the sides and back and BEFORE I lost another 30% of my density.

so... yeah, I am making all this sh*t up. get ready for photos under the SUN (that thing the exists every single day, and that we are exposed under the most)... because THAT would be f*****g ridiculous!!

0 photos though

If it can give such drastic results to someone who was balding aggressively at a young age, I can only imagine what it could do to older people who bald at a snail's pace.

I'm glad @shookwun hopped on minoxidil and is seeing some results too, when you suffer from this disease, it's a really bad idea to snob any treatment that's viable for you.

Nobody is "snubbing" Minoxidil. Certainly I was the poster child for some time.

I'm just saying it doesn't give permanent results, that's all, on it's own. And that's the
truth.

Not true, it gave me one more year of an acceptable head of hair, but then it degenerated pretty quickly because indeed, I wasn't using finasteride.

I saw another guy in real life get basically the same result as me, boy did he seem happy for a couple of years, and then of course, he lost his hair pretty quickly.

It's not nothing. Keeping your hair above baseline for one year is not nothing. Some people here might spit on that, but when you suffer from aggressive hair loss at a young age, you'd be quite unwise to spit on anything that can alleviate your suffering even a little.

I'm happy for you, I am. I've used (and continue to use Minoxidil). So, I'm definitely not saying it's sham.

The problem is, most guys think that it will grow more terminal hair after a few months, and it rarely does.

I used to not believe, but now I believe.

After being on six months of minoxidil, my entire hair is thick, and healthy.

Five years of finasteride never gave me the cosmetic benefit that minoxidil has done. It has however maintained any further loss, but it was not enough to give me the cosmetic benefit that minoxidil gives.

it's real simple - Min to grow, finasteride to maintain

Min alone can let you bald gracefully, but without finasteride you hair will keep going south from androgen activity

@JohnsonDDG ; what was your Norwood level when you were 26 yo ? at your peak with women
My peak was 28 and 29 in confidence and looks (and women)

I'm still sort of in my prime now at 31 but on the decline.

I was a nw3 at 29.

I'm still a nw3 now but I've diffused a little in the middle

@shookwun ; you apply minoxidil to whole scalp ? how much ? thx
I apply around 3ml once a day over my entire scalp. Along with a good massage while doing so.

I don't use the traditional dropper, but a spray form. Helps evenly distribute while bathing the entire scalp

You still have the ability to ponder whether you're going to shave or not?

By the age of 22, all I had left was my grandpa horseshoe.

Privileged.
Freddie I think you said your dad was bald to, and verbally abusive. What was his reaction to your thinning
hair when you were going through this? One of empathy or man up!

This thread is something I can really relate to.

People are starting to use my "hat picture" on their phone contacts.

What's really fucked up about it is this, I only wear hats twice a year, if that.

At least over the holidays (December), I didn't get f*****g HAIRLOSS SHAMPOO!. (*
like December 2016).

I swear, if anybody gives me that during the holidays, I'm going to shove IT UP THEIR
f*****g a**h**, and then CHOKE THEM TO DEATH WITH IT!
Ya family/friends can be vultures about it, but if you react like that then they win - just human nature to bring someone down
to make themselves feel better about their insecurities.

Here's one I went through recently, I met 6 friends for supper and beer, I showered, shaved and spent the required time
attempting to make my hair look good - and I was blessed with a good hair day that day. I was the last one there to sit down,
and the friend I sat across from looked at my hair, then said "did you ever get in on the marijuana stocks?" He knew I missed
the boat on that, then inferred he made money on them, and of course I didn't.

I should mention this friend is a hat prisoner, and when he took his hat off to scratch his head I can see he'd lost more hair since
last we talked. Explains his comment on the MJ stocks - people eh?

He cried.

And then went into this huge denial phase like almost all my relatives and friends "I see hair everywhere on your head".

It lasted until I had like 2000 hairs left on my NW5 area. Imagine suffering so much and then being told that you're making up your affliction on top of it.

@EvilLocks knows the feeling. No wonder I've gone insane.
I ask because I take after my dad, who is pretty much bald (age 67 mind you) and when he was 19 his barber told him
he was thinning in the crown - at the time dad shrugged it off thinking the bald barber is just jealous of his afro jerry curl like hair.

When I was mid 20's and sat at the table my dad stopped behind me and made a negative comment about my crown, but the tone
was like - haha you'll suffer the same fate as me. But to this day I'm doing pretty well with it, not awesome but well, considering
my family doesn't have good hair genetics to begin with.

Was there at least some bonding with pops considering he went through the same ordeal. Crazy your dad would just
cry - I mean he gave birth to you and should come as no shock that there would be at least 50/50 chance he'd pass the gene onto you.

My trading philosophy is simple - steal from the rich and give to the poor. Kinda Christian in that sense.
Stealing from the rich is still stealing...it's immoral.
The rich and the poor, are rich and poor for a reason.
Playing Robin Hood will only make things worse.
