My Finasteride Update, 22 Y/o (pics)

Just got a haircut and decided I’ll post an update. This is 3 years and 3 months (39 months) since starting finasteride. I feel that my hair has gotten somewhat thinner since my last update, but by the look of the pictures maybe it’s still holding up the same? Would love to hear some opinion of those of you that have followed my story or even those of you that are new here and can go through my older pics in this thread.

I’ve been taking finasteride every day, although I have to admit I miss a few doses (sometimes in a row) a few times a month. Not sure if this has had an impact. Some thoughts on that, maybe from long time users, would be appreciated.

First 4 pics were taken after waking up (messy) before I showered. Next 4 pics are directly after the shower, without touching my hair at all. Next 3 are wet and combed forward (like my older pics) and the last 5 are wet and styled the way I normally do now.

Maybe my balding has halted, but I’m def balding. Check out that wet crown and overall thinning. Granted, I may see it as worse than it is, but it’s def thinner than before I realize I was losing my hair.

Nothing. I blow dry it after I shower though. That’s a major key, at least for myself. My hair looks 10x better if I blow dry it for two minutes or so

Here is a 6+ year update folks.

I’ve been on nothing but finasteride this entire time. I had gynecomastia going into finasteride and it may have gotten slightly worse but I’m not too sure. Other than that, no side effects.

I believe I’ve mostly maintained, but may have thinned out a bit. It’s very difficult to tell with my length of hair. Curious what you guys think. You can compare some of the individual photos (taken today) with older photos on this post. Here are some super wet, semi wet, dry, and styled hair photos for comparison. Let me know if you think it looks like I’m maintaining or if it’s gotten worse, as you all know, it’s difficult to judge your own hair..
