I added weekly microneedling to Zix, but didn't apply it on the needling days. My experienced is that the first 2-3 sessions were great. In the third week I experienced increased shedding (short and long hairs). I've stopped needling because i felt it inflamed my scalp. My shedding returned to "normal" after a three weeks.

please share your experience using Zix and Microneedling. I have ordered the Vitamins not yet recieved. And i thought of doing the same microneedling + Zix. (Not using min or finasteride)

Just made my first batch according to the formula

- 15 mls ethyl alcohol
- 3 x 220 mgs of zinc sulfate
- 150 mgs of b6 p5p
- 45 mls distilled water

Applied it for the first time.

Plan is to use it every night before bed. Then when I wake up I wash and dry my hair, then apply minoxidil (2x a day). Sucks having to wash my hair 2x a day though, but I need to make sure the zix gets off before I apply minoxidil , right? Microneedling every 2 weeks. Daily 5 min scalp massage. My hairloss isn't terrible just yet, so I hope I can get some thickening out of it too, along with the help of microneedling. But above all I just hope this sh*t stops my hairloss and I that can see a clear reduction in shedding.

Do not think washing your hair twice a day is needed.

Hey guys. 2 questions I still haven’t gotten answers to:

1) if we have so much B6 residue at the bottom of the bottle, it’s clear that the solution can’t uptake that much B6, right? The large chunks, etc are not going to absorb into your scalp, so should we lessen the amount of B6 so it doesn’t get clogged up in the dropper?

2) can you apply this wet hair, like minoxidil? Or does it have to be to dry scalp?

Thanks!

Great to hear. If I may suggest using minoxidil at night and zix in the morning. Zix is great as a cosmetic thickener and styling product.

I would ditch the needling for a few months, again, i havent heard good things about mixing zix and needling.

After 12 hours, I dont think you need to worry about zix or minoxidil interfering with one another. So apply minoxidil at night, then wash in the morning and apply zix afterwards.

How has minoxidil been treating you so far?

Good luck and keep us updated!

Hi -

1) I use a pill crusher to try and make the powder as fine as possible. There is always sediment that accumulated, so I shake it before sucking up the zix with a dropper.

2) By no means am I saying is the only way, but my routine is that I let my hair dry most of the way, then I apply the zix. I prefer applying to nearly or fully dry hair/scalp as I find it absorbs better and styles better in the end.

Sounds great @worm Thanks! I crush the pills as well. Just thought maybe could stand to use less. Will do on the application. I know minoxidil actually absorbs better on we scalp. Didn’t know if it translated to Zix. I’ll follow your advice. Thanks.

I don't mean to sidetrack this thread, but has anyone heard of Zinc-Thymulin?

https://www.hairlosstalk.com/intera...ments-of-androgenetic-alopecia.113969/page-58

I see no reason why an introduction of B6 into this formula wouldn't be superior to the Zix formula. If you Google "Zinc-Thymulin hairloss" you can find the study that was done, and there are even pictures (more impressive than Brotzu's) demonstrating the effectiveness.

What do you think Worm?

*Disclosure - I haven't looked much into the zinc-Thymulin combo thread, I'm only assuming both of these treatments are working off the same premise

The needling has made my hair feel healthier and stronger, like before it used to lay flat and was just lifeless. Not sure if I would want to drop it completely, but I have experienced increased shedding since I upped from 1.5mm to 2.0mm needling, but I am not sure if it has to do with that or if it's just seasonal shedding. It's really hard to know.

Been using min for nearly 8 years now. Still have hair, but diffused and thinner, but not awful just yet.

Been using zix for two month now, but somehow shedding has increased.
I mix it exactly how worm recommends and since a few days with exactly the same brands, I only take some supplements and alpecin shampoo beside it.
Don't know what to think about it.
But I see lots of little hairs along the hairline, maybe it's regrowth maybe recession, I don't know if I should stick with it little longer or quit...

I'm thinking Zix might just be treating a scalp condition. I'm waiting for my zinc to arrive but have since made an appointment with a dermatologist. My itchy scalp has to be from something other than just "itchy scalp". I'll report back what I'm diagnosed with if anything.
If you still experience itchy scalp, you may to apply few ml(in a water cup) of apple cider vinnegar, after washing your hair. Posing it 10mins then wash it again.it does really help to change the ph of the scalp

did the shedding ever slow down b/c of Zix???

It's been a week since i dropped minoxidil and shedding is still the same. Not even sure if minoxidil has even helped me.
Feels good not to have itchy scalp tho but about to say f*** it all get a wig or something but that's expensive as sh*t w/ maintenance.

My experience is that Zix helps to battle my inflamed scalp. Whenever my scalp is inflamed I have increased shedding. Needling causes micro inflammation which increases collagen. Needling at 0,5 mm was fine. The shedding started when I increased the depth every week up to 1 - 1,5 mm. And I'm not talking about shedding three months later, rather 4-5 days after needling sessions.

Just like finasteride, duta, minoxidil etc Zix is not going to work for everybody. If inflammation is increasing your shedding, Zix would be great to use.

As for the combo of Zix + needling: if you needle to cause inflammation, it would be counterproductive to use Zix right? For me it didn't work unfortunately.

My ingredients are on the way... One of the reasons I’ve gone for this is low probability of sides. I am dealing with enough health sh*t at the moment to take any risks.

Has anyone experienced regrowth from zix? Any pics posted?

I’m intending to use this 30mins after minoxidil x2 a day. Does that sound ok or shall I leave longer between applying the two treatments?

I will also be needling every 2-3 weeks.
