Not 100% convinced it has, but I have definitely maintained - which I am happy with
Did you check your zinc level before starting?
You may have been deficient which is not so rare
Zinc is very helpful in those cases

No I haven’t , and it has never been flagged when I’ve had blood tests

My diet has a lot of zinc - meat and eggs

Looks more dense to me too. But could be lighting. Maintenance is the magic pill here. Starting when you've lost most of your hair will likely only help you keep what you have. glad to hear it's working!

Maintainence was all I was hoping for!

When I took the before photo, I was fretting that my thinning area would be gone in the next couple of months.

i am thrilled to start this treatment, do you think that it can maybe regrow but strengthen my miniaturized hair follicles as long as they can still be seen since they are not dead yet? i've read almost all of the 112 page of this thread and from what i've learned it is mostly for maintening but could it 'boost the miniaturized hair' thus as maintening them ina healty state @worm

Was thinking about this. While the question is not directed to me, my experience was that I took zinc supplements daily for 8+ years before zix. It helped with itching but didnt not cure by a long shot. I must say finasteride did help considerably while i used it. It was only when I started zix however that the itching was finally under control

It could, but it depends how miniaturized they are. I'd say if they've just started to miniaturize then yes. but if they are nearly vellus, forget about it

i see, currently i am a nw2.5 i suspect that i could go back to nw2 with the hair that recently miniaturized. The downside is that i had SMP done on my head although it look fine and i've never been called on it, this will restrict me of growing my hair because the hairline part will be SMP. I am currently doing detumescence or rigurous scalp massage which seems to help for new growth slowly and maintening. im probably not going to use the ethyl alcohol due to the fact that it could possibly degrade the SMP. This treatment would be great for holding the current hair while waiting for a hair transplant.

if you have AA, of course you ended up using dht blockers, but if you can keep in check vitamin D, zinc and tocotrienols levels, you would add something notable to the mix.
people tend to use zinc to balance hormones, but in high doses its also a dht blocker

Hey, is it hard to make because i've no experience or clue on what to do or is it possible to buy it directly mixed even if it's more expansive ?
Do you think, this would be a good idea to mix it with 0,25 fina or maybe saw palmeto ?

Here are the ingredients i have found, is it good ?

Distilled water : https://www.amazon.fr/2x100ml-Solut...e&qid=1559140651&s=gateway&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1

Zinc : https://www.amazon.com/PlusPharma-Z...8&qid=1469108018&sr=1-1&keywords=zinc+sulfate

B6 : https://www.amazon.fr/Arkopharma-Ma...+b6+p5p&qid=1559140569&s=gateway&sr=8-1-fkmr0

I don't know what to buy tough for "ethyl alcohol"
And how you mix everything ?

Thanks you for your feedback

No don’t need saw palmetto, zinc + b6 is a dht blocker. Read here:

So after using it for a few weeks, all I can say is that it did make my hair look and feel thicker, but I also got brain fog. Stopped using it for a few days now and I feel better. I used like 2 ml everytime to cover my whole area, so not sure if I used too much or if I should change the formula and cut down on the zinc or something.

I felt like I shed less some days and some days it was more.

I also needle every 2 weeks.

At the end of the day we're all just trying a bunch of sh*t without really knowing what the f*** we're doing.

I've said it many times before in think needling and zix dont mix. Too much absorption.

Is it possible you get brain fog, yes. I was on finasteride for a dogs age, and the brain fog was crippling. I finally quit realizing thinking straight trumps having hair. Fortunately I found zix. I have to say, in my forties I am not as sharp nor remember nearly as much as I used to. I was chalking it up to fatigue, stress and one particularly bad concussion. Needless to say if it was zix, it doesnt hold a candle to how impaired I used to be on finasteride.

I think this has already been asked so apologies if I’m repeating myself, but would zix be considered an anti androgen?

f*** this thread is so long but not much other discussion on zix. Anyone besides OP get good results on this stuff?
