Yea no its no problem, you wouldn't really have a reason to lie, so really let me congraluate you. English I was wondering though if you have any sort of in between pictures, that show the transition from before to after. Thanks for posting.

No sorry Moose, I took the first pics, and filed them away, had'nt seen them myself, since then, I just got on with my regimen, and did'nt think much about it. ... when you look every day at your hair in the mirror you just dont notice the improvements, I stumbled across the original pics last weekend and decided to take some more, and thats when it hit me. " this sh*t works".!!!!!!!!!!

Hard to say when I started hairloss, my hair has always been very fine/flyaway, even when I was a kid. and it seems to have been thinning ever since I can remember. but Id say my temples have been receeding for about 20 years, it's all been a very slow process, which has certainly accelerated in the last five years. I started treatment a year ago, and would say that I have regained what I had between 5-8 years previous, probably not in the actual number of hairs but in the thickness and quality of hair that now grows. .... MSM I buy from an online pharmacy haere in uk (pharmacy 2u) the current batch also contains vit C. It tastes like sh*t and the tabs are HUGE, but it's been a definate bonus in my regimen. .....

I guess other effects of MSM would be increased hair growth everywhere. My arm hair, facial hair, any hair grow quicker. Also, your nails will grow faster. You may also begin to notice some old aches & pains going away.

I second cj...MSM is overall good for the body. AFAIk I have not read anyone having side effects from it. Although, some people have complained about hair growing faster everywhere in the body. Yup cj is right about the pains disappearing.

English,
Congratulations on your success. great results.
I don't mean to sound negative, but I had reasonably good results from minoxidil alone (went from NW4 to NW2). the results receded after 2 years or so and stopped it due to irritation and moved to Nw6. I was a very good responder. I wish I were a bad responder to minoxidil (I would looked for more options if I weren't responding). minoxidil does not address the male pattern baldness. Theoretically you can have hairs in the entire scalp and in the next hair cycle all the hairs can be lost (this is what happened with me/minoxidil). I thought it was just shedding, but the hairs never came back.

I didn't use anything for a year (was on an Indian oil, stupid mistake).
Now I am back on treatments and this time with finasteride first, dutasteride now and with minoxidil and SODs. Currently a NW5 slowly moving towards a high NW4.

If you decide against using propecia or dutasteride, make sure you use nizoral regularly for 5 minutes or so everytime you shampoo.
Also use SODs regularly everyday.

Good luck on your treatments.

Hey English do you feel Nizoral plays a big role in your regimen? Based on the information I found, Nizoral is preety much the same as revivogen.

"Nizoral® shampoo is a potent anti-dandruff shampoo that appears to actually help prevent the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). It is known that this conversion to DHT causes the hair follicle to die, and for the hair to fall out

Furthermore, Nizoral® may remove sebum deposits. These fatty deposits lie on the scalp and appear to clog the hair follicles, and may prevent or reduce the nutritional supply to the follicle.

Regular use of Nizoral® helps prevent hair loss and improves the scalp condition."

Just received a 4 month supply of minoxidil and I dont know whether to start using it or not. I have heard people say that once you start minoxidil you have to continue using it or the hair will fall out. In my situation, I have a full head of hair and I want to know if minoxidil will affect my current hair. If I decide to use it and than later stop using it later will my original hair fall out?

jay2k6..

I'm not sure I am best qualified to answer this but as I understand; The gains you get from using minoxidil are 'Dose dependant', which means that if you stop using it, any hair that grows as a result of of using it will fall out in around 4 months. as for hair that you have now I assume the minoxidil will keep this in a growth phase, so it wont fall out in its natural shedding cycle. So if this hair is 'pre-programmed' to fall as a result of male pattern baldness you will keep it longer. and if you stop using minoxidil, any hair you would have lost will then ruturn to its natural design to fall out... So, yes I think you do need to keep using minoxidil once you start.!! ... Why though, if you have a full head of hair.??
