I am using 5% foam. I am using it after I get out of the shower after I thoroughly towel-dry. Using a capful, and starting at the roots on the front and working my way back.

I find that slightly damp here makes it easier to work the foam in. At night, I work it into dry hair, front to back.

Forgot to answer one question. I rub it in for about 10-15 seconds. Until I feel it has reached the roots.

Oh yeah, i should clarify one other thing. My wife and I are trying to have a baby (already more of a challenge due to radiation and surgery), so I'll be less concerned about effects of finasteride if we are successful. I know it's supposed to be safe as long as the woman doesn't go near the pills, but I'm concerned about passing it through my skin, etc.

Thanks for the good words.

I've determined that I will go on finasteride if we are successful in conceiving in the next two years. I have no libido problems or anything after the surgery and radiation 2 years ago, but since I'm firing on only one cylinder, I want to maximize my available horsepower. :D

I definitely see a difference, even in the last week or so. I don't see as much scalp when I'm in the sun. Before, when I was in bright sun, my scalp would basically reflect through my thinned out hair. I'm not saying it's luxuriously thick, but it's probably thicker than it has been since I met my wife 8 years ago.

I just updated the gallery with a new photo -- I look like a chimp with very short hair but I got a very short cut out of curiosity.

Continuing to see results, especially on the sparse left temple. I'm almost at the point where I could part there if i wanted -- but my part has definitely become very tight on my right side. I've had a comment from a colleague at work already.

Amazing thing about any of these treatments is that people really have short memories and they don't remember that I was thinning so dramatically 3 months ago.

I can definitely see an improvement on overall density.

I was at a birthday party yesterday and my sister told me that it looked like my new haircut was making my hair look much thicker. That proved to me, beyond a doubt, that it is working. Ordinarily, my hair looks SO sparse when it's cut this short.

I've read a lot about the big shed at month 8, so I guess I'll start growing my hair a bit longer at that time until it thickens up again. I guess I'm looking at a shed sometime in November.

maybe part of the success is that you have one less testicle and produce less testosterone.

My thinning became much worse in the last two years since the surgery. I think it was entirely unrelated to that. My testosterone level is about 500 now. Normal range is 250 to 800. I'm not the highest, but not the lowest. For an almost 36 year old, I've got a pretty normal level.

Looks like you have thicker hair up front. Some of my buddies have commented about my hair looking better, mainly as you can imagine the balding ones.

I am still seeing new hairs come up. A couple of long eyebrows too. Not sure if I'm sweating when I run or if it's just going systemic.

The stuff really works, though. The front view is very noticeable. My boss was totally staring at my head today. He is only up from Florida about once every 2 months and my head was looking pretty scant the last time I saw him.

I am going to be more open about my use of rogaine at the gym. It was an older guy at my job who told me he wished he'd started it sooner. I figured I'd give it a try.

It's true that it sucks that it will all fall out if I stop using it, but I guess that a good analogy is that if I stop using deodorant, I'll definitely stink, and I'm not able to stop that either.

I got so used to it already...doing it twice a day like the way I brush my teeth.

It dries super fast anyways, it's no trouble for me at all.

Still the improvement of your hair is so dramatic, we are all happy for you!

Yeah, once you use it for a while it's the same as using a styling product. I use shampoo everyday and also spray or mousse, so it's just one more thing.

It's true that the shedding can be a bit disarming at first (my first photo was from before I started the foam, so my shedding made it even worse for a few weeks). I tried a small bit of a masking lotion (very thinly applied, to get through the worst of it). The hair that grew in makes it look thicker than the lotion ever did. I don't use anything other than the nizoral or rogaine now. no masking stuff or anything.

my experience with foam is that it definitely lowered my hairline by half an inch...but the new hairline lacks of density. Overall foam has done be more good than harms.

I also applied it on my crown, and its slowing filling in. The bald spot seems to be getting smaller. I am going to take pics in 3 months to make comparisons.

All you need is minoxidil foam.... nothing else. Not only it dries in less than 1 minute but its all thats necessary for moderate hair loss. I posted my hairline images with before and after a while ago and since then it has gotten way better.

How much are you using? When are you getting lightheaded? Right as you apply it? I haven't noticed anything here.
