Thanks! So far, just using foam and nizoral 1%. I just posted a new photo -- i think it is still filling in and solidifying my hairline. I look at the initial photo and compare to today and the difference is pretty startling to me.

Keep me posted on your results with the foam. For my diffuse hairloss, it is a godsend.

Would love to see before/after frontal pictures

Crap dude, you need to go do a commercial to rogain foam and get some of the money back. Thats some of the most cosmetic regrowth i have seen on here.

How do you feel about the foam scent, or smell i guess would be a better way to describe it. I was totally against rogain because i never saw it work that well, but i picked up foam after seeing this post

Your hair looks very good. I am getting my father's hair line in the front part of my head so when I cut my hair really short it looks like I have a mohawk. I have been losing my hair since I was 24 or at least it was the first time that some one told me that I was losing my hair. I have a couple of questions. I just began to use the rogaine foam today and wanted to know if I can use hair gel after the rogaine application? Also what is nizoral and where can I get it? I heard that the generic minoxil is just as good as rogaine. Does anyone know where I can find generic? I'm sure it is cheaper. Does propecia have generic as well? Sorry for so many questions as I am just a first timer. I have attached a photo that I took with my phone. Hopefully you all can see it well. I will post another photo hopefully in the next month to see if there are any results.

I can't take a new "before" photo unless I stop using rogaine for 3 months. :lol:

I will try to dig for some photos, but it is really only with this new short haircut that the results are as obvious.

The scent of rogaine foam grew on me. My wife doesn't mind it either, and it does wear off a bit when it dries. The funny thing is that my wife is so amazed at the results that she won't let her face touch my head when we are sleeping. She thinks it will cause her to grow a beard. :lol:

The growth of hairs in your pics look awesome. I have been using Rogaine on/off for the past 5 years. Initially after the shedding period, it felt like it stopped more hairs from falling. But then I stopped, and it began again.

I started again a few months ago, first with regular strength and now with 5% rogaine. I'm almost out of the liquid, so I just placed a 3 month order of the foam and am totally excited. I just wanna state that I had been using T-Gel with the Rogaine which did absolutely nothing to stop the dandruff OR itch so I picked up the Equate brand of tar shampoo just to save money but still had the itch.

I want to know what do you rotate with the Nizoral? And what masking cream were u using before the actual hairs filled in the bald spot.

Thanks bro! I'm more excited than ever to continue using Rogaine.

Howdy all.
Still continuing to see results, but I also think I'm seeing some signs of increased shedding. I'm taking it in stride, as even with the shedding, I'm still much thicker than I was without the Rogaine foam. My hair is growing in a bit, but I think i will buzz it down again this weekend.

I do think that Nizoral is a bit harsh, so I use it ever 3rd day now.

From reading this forum, it seems like shedding is a very seasonal thing, plus I'm starting my 7th month of the foam--- isn't that roughly when shedding occurs for a lot of rogaine users regardless of the season? How long does it usually last? 1 month, 2?

Hey NJ Dude! How are you?
Just wanted to let you know your story convinced me to jump on Minoxidil! I was on Finasteride for a while with results but it really messed me up internally. So 4 months after stopping Finas and with my hair thinning and uncomfortable as a result I started minoxidil. I am on 1.5 months treatment now and i'm not sure what to think of the results so far: The minoxidil gave me a small shed about 3 weeks into treatment. About 4 or so weeks in I noticed a few small vellous hairs growing in the frontal region but not necessarily on the hairline. These hairs are about 1/4 inch now. The thing that worries me is that the area directly behind my hairline continues to shed. It's really odd in that my scalp feels healthier now but that particular frontal spot continues to shed with only minor regrowth. Not sure if I should continue on or stop applying it in that area?? How is everything going for you? Hair still thickening? Any recent shedding? Maybe you could offer feedback? Sorry so long. Thanks so much! Tim
