Deaner - unibrow, monobrow, i don't want any sort of singular line across my eyes~!

Dovf - I can't find Nizoral here in Australia, but its ok because I don't really have the minoxidil flaking problem that others have because i have dry skin. My conditioner is .. wait for it .. Johnson&Johnson Baby Shampoo + Conditioner :p

The other day, I came across my photos when i was 17, and it was starting to be a bit off then.. but by 18 I had noticed it .. a lot. Yes I'm asian..

Incredible..

Monthly update:

Front
Right
Left
Back
Diffuse

I've just looked at the 5 pictures flicking through from month 0 to month 4.. amazing.. the big 2.1 is working well so far! Now there have been some problems.. the effects of finasteride on "it" has somewhat dissipated, althought i don't think its as strong as it use to be. Nothing really to complaign about, except the minoxidil itch - took a day off it and my scalp seems to be ok now. I would use nizoral, but its hard to find and its not so bad to invest in the product.

Well.. some of you may have noticed, I really don't hang around here much anymore.. i can see why people who had success combating hair loss don't show up much, but i'll still endevour to update monthly!

thanks for reading.

Hey mate - fellow aussie here. I don't understand why you are having trouble finding Nizoral here i Australia? Walk into any soul Patterson pharmacy (or any other pharmacy) and you should be able to get the 2% straight over the counter (in Sydney that is - I don't expect it to be different anywhere else).

You can also get it here if you can't get anywhere else http://www.epharmacy.com.au and if you buy your finasteride there too they do free domestic shipping (I have not done it yet but seems pretty reliable).

Have you found any good spots for minoxidil here in Australia (in terms of price)?. Cheers.

Hey Rage,

Good to hear things are going well. What do you attribute most of your success to? Did you go through a shed while on Propecia? Anyways, hope the success continues.

OUT!

Ninja,

just realised that my main supplier DOES sell nizoral too! And if you are wanting to go the internet route for products (it is much cheaper!) in Australia, then I will have to recommend http://www.pharmacydirect.com.au. I bought my generic minoxidil from there (Hair-A-Gain 4 x 60ml for $97.85AUD), and plan to get Proscar from there as well ($82.95AUD). The shipping fee is $5.95AUD , so its usually cheaper if you order more than one item. and please don't refer to that evil product in the thread

brasileirao,

if i had to guess, i would say minoxidil thus far.. but of course i can't prove that. And I thought I did shed on finasteride, although I never did check the amount of hair falling before I took the tablets (forced myself not to - its painful) so can't be sure either!

cheers

Sorry Rage, but I just don't see the hairloss you claim to have had. Your hairline looks great all the way through. I think it was your imagination. You have thick, full hair.

Rage, I checked your pictures even before you started your treatment.
I want to know, are you really sure that you have male pattern baldness? May be u might had gone through some sheds..which are completely natural. Although you say..your father is bald...and you may had gone bald later in life...but I dont think that at this moment or even before you started your treatment you have male pattern baldness. You have a hair line of a 14 year old guy and the crown is meant to shrink a bit since the distribution of hair starts from there. Did you see any dermatologist or doctor to actually confirm male pattern baldness or just imagined things and started with these treatments  ?

I'm not sure, maybe he caught it right at the very beginging, like we all wish we had. Looking at month 5 crown, compared to month 1 and the crown definately has improved, along with the front etc etc... chances are though Nexus, that Rage can tell best.

Yes, I did check with my doctor.. I actually went to him a year before about it, and he said there was nothing wrong, and it was this year that I finally went back - and he said I definitely had MBP. It was absolutely hilarious when my dad went to him for a checkup.. one look at my dads head and he said "Oh, i see.."

When I look at my friends, sure their temples have receeded a bit - part of puberty - but none of them (those w/o male pattern baldness anyway) have their hair turning to wafer thin sh*t. Doctor noticed it, Hairdresser noticed it, Friends noticed it, but worse of all, I noticed it..

I think the mistake with my pictures is that I have medium length hair, and I have to hold it back to take pictures. I told my hairdresser to fix it, and fix it he did.. add a bit of styling mud and it can be well hidden from all but the strongest of lights.

hey rage, u say u take one pill of 5 mg proscar, every five days. Did u ask ur doctor if that was safe? i think im gonna try that too instead of cutting them partly because im lazy. I just don't wanna have limp dick or boobs.

hm.. the way i discribed it is a bit vague.. what i meant is, I split the pill but often its not even close to perfect, but as long as I have taken 1 tablets worth over the 5 days, it will be ok.

You can view a limp dick / boobs is an indication that the treatment is working :)

Rage-

Initially, you stated noticing lots of hair in your gel bucket.

Has your hair stopped falling out? If so, how soon into the treatment did it take?

Thanks, and good luck to you

After a month or two... now the gel bucket is hairless, there's a lot less in the shower (on the odd occasion I look).. generally all good !

hope that helps

best of luck

hey rage, this might be a dumb question, but i think im going to start minoxidil along with finasteride. too and i wanted to know when u put 1ml of minoxidil on ur temples, does that mean u put one ml on each temple or split 1ml of minoxidil between the two temples

1ml for both temples.. so its a bit like 1/2 on the left, 1/2 on the right and any remainder along the front.

cheers
