Receding Hairline? High Temples? Thoughts?

Probably. Percent of balding men is high, especially as a caucasian. Something along the lines of the age you are is the percent of men who are bald. Ex., 30 percent of men are balding aggressively at age 30. And 50 at 50. I wish I started taking it at age 18.
Yeah to be honest, even if a guy isn't NW2 yet, if he's 20 or so it's better for him to start Finasteride to increase the hair's lifespan. Instead of going NW2 at 25 or 30, you do it at 35 or 40, and so on. Honestly I wish I took it on Summer 2020, but I doubt 2 years is significant as I didn't see much receeding from looking at pictures (I think/hope)

You're still young to where oral min will probably regrow 100% of your hair back too

I don't know if I would consider minoxidil, I think finasteride is enough. I just want to maintain while taking the least amount of poison as possible, my hairline was always sh*t so I doubt regrowing it to what it was before is anything better. The curse of having a round *** hairline with weird *** thin temple peaks.

This brings me to question, should someone take finasteride even if they aren’t balding (or balding aggressively) as prevention and/or have a peace of mind?
If you have no family history of balding and don't show any sign of balding it's not worth taking until you do. Too bad the company HairDx went under because they could genetically test if you have the balding gene and also test if you would be a good finasteride responder. I did it and I have the gene and unfortunately test that I would be a poor finasteride responder.

For me, it has absolutely improved my mental health by giving me peace of mind that I was doing almost all that I could do. I suffer from OCD tendencies, so something like this — that is so easy to obsess over — was sending me into a downward spiral.

Update — I’ve been relatively satisfied with finasteride seemingly slowing any recession, but after seeing the two photos below taken within the past couple of weeks, I’m concerned that my combo of finasteride and minoxidil might be losing its strength:

This one is especially concerning — I haven’t been able to detect any major thinning when looking at my temples up close:

Is there anything I should add to my regimen of finasteride and minoxidil?

Not sure I’m ready to go that route just yet… I did purchase a Dr. Pen M8 on eBay and will start using that — I previously used a dermaroller but stopped over a year ago. I’m also restarting nizoral.

I was feeling so confident and pleased with my progress, or at least the maintenance. But now that I’m taking photos again, the temples are very concerning. Hopefully the micro needling will help.

your situation is quite similar to mine, well, mine was worse tbh.

Jump on finasteride, oral minoxidil and dermarolling (using it only on receding areas) and nizoral (if it won't fry your hair). You have noticed your receding reaaaaaly quickly so don't worry: i'd say you will be able to regrow in no time

but you werent born with nordwood 2 were you? you just started your treatment later and you probably wish that you would've done it much sooner.
I did start Early, its a complicated story. Why are you on such an aggressive treatment anyway? You really need all of that to maintain? Talk about being an aggressive balder.

I have just watched too many blackpill videos about importance of looks in modern society, and I think that my hair plays such an important role in my apperance that im willing to do everything what is science-based to maintain/regrow it.
