so what's his suggestion? wait it out?
Ye, since genetically im ok, then wait it out and hope that once my hormones rebalance then everything will be back to square one. He did say that i can always try the regular regrowing therapies such as minoxidil and prp.

of course i believe and trust the doctor's testimony. I just find it strange that many people report that despite stopping Finasteride, the symptoms persisted for years.

Ye exactly. It seems that the vast majority have their symptoms last for years. How does your hair look now?

The hair has gotten significantly worse. They have become very thin and are failing. Every time I pull on them, I always have some on my fingers.
But what annoys me even more now is this oily skin and greasy scalp. 30 minutes after the shower everything starts to get greasy again. I'm slowly no longer taking this.
I would even stop finasteride completely by now. But I don't know if it will get any worse after that. What do you think?

Based on my research it seems that once someone gets Reflex H then finasteride will only make it worse. You need to clear it out of your system in order for the symptoms to even have a chance of decreasing. You can also try other non dht blocking therapies: minoxidil, prp etc. as long as you have RH then you MUST avoid those dht blockers (even natural ones) . Im going to try to speak w doctor proctor (he coined the phrase RH) i want to know if he saw any successful recoveries.

how long have been on finasteride for?

Minoxidil works in a completely different way than finasteride. Before I took finasteride, I started with minoxidil. I didn't have something like "RH", don't mix it up. I don't want to accuse anyone, but there are a lot of hypochondriac on the Internet. They get a headache and immediately think it's a brain tumor :). Woke up again this morning and the whole face and scalp is completely oily again. I hope your doctor will have an explanation for "RH".

I've been on Finasteride for a very long time, for almost 4 years and you?

I was on it for 3.5 months.. quit a month ago. Def have reflex h . Just hoping that since i quit fairly early on that it will work in my benefit. So far: my symptoms haven’t changed. It can take 60-90 days for finasteride to be fully out of system though.

i am very excited about the 90 days, hopefully it will be out of your body by then. let's keep in touch and keep the community up to date, it's very important to everyone who has our problem
