There is no downside to making such a statement (if it doesn't work--oops sorry) and only upsides (if it does work then they already drummed up attention for it)
So, you can't draw any conclusions from that announcement. All we can do is wait.
The trial is being conducted by Hospitals in Japan. The hospital will release the results once they are done with it.
What's the big deal? Are we dealing with millenials here?? This is not a reality show or facebook/twitter.. It's the real world. It's done when it's done. THEN they will release results.
Get a hold on reality.. Geez..
I doubt that the hospital is releasing trial data. The hospital is probably analysing the data then give the report and data to shiseido they will do their own analysis as well and then shiseido will decide ho to prof´gress in regards of making the data public.
This can take some while. I work in a big company and it is quite normal that the person who has to do the analysis does ten other things simultaniusly and then they will have meeting about the analysis ... this can take 2-3 months so dont worry.
That's reassuring. No, sorry — this is completely ridiculous and just out of touch with reality.
Yeah, it may not be a smoking gun that the treatment is super awesome and wonderful and is the best thing ever.
But companies/corporations like this aren't, if you haven't noticed, in the business of making hasty announcements to people; especially ones you can't follow through on because that's bad PR, bad ethos, bad for shareholders, bad all the way around really.
Deciding to make a press release stating that they're expanding operations isn't like some guy who runs their twitter page decided to say that this morning. There was internal discussion in the company about it and whether or not such a release was justified, it was likely written and re-written several times, and carefully considered before being made public.
He is actually right.That's reassuring.

I am so angry. I was only waiting for October. But Lee Bukler betrayed me.
Who you dislike more ? Kim jong un or lee buckler ?I am so angry. I was only waiting for October. But Lee Bukler betrayed me.
Yes yes, that's right. Now stfu. Then waiting until October is meaningless. Is it right?
I tried my luck by asking them when they would release the result and here is their reply:
"Thank you very much for your interest in regarding“hair regenerative medicine
technology (RCH-01)”.
We are sorry to inform you that we are unable to meet your expectations.
This research is not conducted by us only. It will be announced from medical institutions, not from Shiseido.
Your kind understanding will be highly appreciated."
What the hell do they mean ? I though they should be the one analyzing and announcing the result, now they say someone will do and therefore, they have no clue ? I am damn confused already
So if this Research is not conducted by [Shiseido] only and will be announced from medical institutions, not from Shiseido, we will have to think about contacting the medical institutions of this Trial.
The first medical Institution to contact will be the TOKYO MEDICAL UNIVERSITY and the Toho University Ohasi Medical Center at which the Trials were done. I'd like to contact them by myself but I can't read contactinformation on the Homepage because it is in Japanese.
The E-Mail I have found was:
Mr. Niiyama: sniiyama@aol.com (Department of Dermatology, Toho University Ohashi Medical Center)
Mr. Tsuboi: tsuboi@tokyo-med.ac.jp (Research contact Person)
Mr. Takahira: m-takahira@cro-srd.co.jp (Public contact)
Like I said I have emailed all of this People (they are all reasonable for the Clinical study on the efficacy and safety of cultured (human) autologous hair follicle dermal sheath cup cells (DSCC) on androgenetic alopecia RCH-01) But i did not get an answer. I assume it is because I can't speak Japanese to them.
@Fuji Maru Kagurazaka I know it is our Task to ask Shiseido for informations, Fuji, but you could help us very well if you ask them in Japanese
1.) Have the Trials finished?
2.) When the results will given to Shiseido/public?
3.) After positive results how long it will take to will be able to go on the market.
I am sorry for beg you @Fuji Maru Kagurazaka for asking them but maybe you are the only Person of this Forum which will be able to get better informations. Otherwise we are groping around in the dark again...
For all members who would be grateful to @Fuji Maru Kagurazaka if he help us. PLease give this post a like.
THANK YOU @Fuji Maru Kagurazaka !!
We need to know whether the trial has ended. I think there is no harm for them to let us know that info.
