There is no downside to making such a statement (if it doesn't work--oops sorry) and only upsides (if it does work then they already drummed up attention for it)
So, you can't draw any conclusions from that announcement. All we can do is wait.

Yeah, it may not be a smoking gun that the treatment is super awesome and wonderful and is the best thing ever.
But companies/corporations like this aren't, if you haven't noticed, in the business of making hasty announcements to people; especially ones you can't follow through on because that's bad PR, bad ethos, bad for shareholders, bad all the way around really.
Deciding to make a press release stating that they're expanding operations isn't like some guy who runs their twitter page decided to say that this morning. There was internal discussion in the company about it and whether or not such a release was justified, it was likely written and re-written several times, and carefully considered before being made public.
