Any links for meal plans/ideas?
Im afraid i dont have a list man,
but i would avoid very processed foods with sugar ( carbs and sugars in vegs and fruits are good ) , wheat (there are many alternatives ) , aspartame, and some kind of gluten free diet would be good.
Eggs, avocados, fenugreek, maca have nutrients for hair.
You need to take care of insuline resistence and ms

What he is referring to sounds like a ketogenic diet. Very little carbs and sugar, high fat, like 80% of your calories from fat. It's supposedly anti-inflammatory and people get weight loss and cognitive benefits from it.
Keto is not so friendly with hair, but has some benefits.
Have nothing against carbs, but sugar, wheat and processed foods need to be taken care if you want to fight AA (and areata) in my humble opinion.
The title of the topic brings us to this, but of course i never said diet fixes anything (in terms of hair)

You do know that modern fruits and vegetables are grown in such way that they reflect the "modern taste" a lot of sweetness for example. Fruits have LOADS of sugar in it.

What you need to know about it what KIND of sugars you need to eat to have a stable/moderate intake.

So glycemic index (GI) would be a good table to look at, if you have a sudden need to eat to get a boost of energy during the day. Of course if you are into sports and already is quite lean, then you do need those kind of foods that have high GI or else you would have a good chance of collapsing.

Very stupid articles. Why people with male pattern baldness when they improve their diet and lifestyle don’t back their hair? male pattern baldness is mostly about genetics and other factors inside our body that we still knows little about it.

there's "improving" and "improving"...some actually get their hair back...but like I said, most people trying to improve their diet don't know what they're doing. just because you're avoiding sugar, wheat and processed food doesn't mean you're getting the micronutrients needed to heal.

Not to mention those getting the best results also cultivate their own fruits and plants cuz what we buy at the supermarket in today's society is pure garbage

Near impossible.
Are you stupid? Tons of people eat like that, in fact all ketogenic dieters eat none of those things. I myself have been on keto for 2 months, haven't touched sugar or bread. No affect on hair loss so far.

Keto is literally the exact opposite of what this study recommend. It's also, imo, one of worst diets for hair loss.

Now i'm just curious.

Can you put some typical meals you eat, since you haven't touched any sugar.

Sure. I've since expanded on this, but this was what I ate every single day for a month:

Breakfast:
5 eggs, 1 avocado, creme fraiche, coconut oil and butter coffee ("Bulletproof" coffee)

Dinner:
1 lb ground beef cooked in butter

Pretty standard keto fare. I felt fantastic, felt as energetic as I did when I was 12. Won't help your hair at all, but I highly recommend it for general health reasons.

Tasty but will wreck your hair. There’s countless admissions of people online losing hair while on keto..

I have a full diet based on veggies, fruits, nuts and proteins (fish, meat and veggies) and this has been the case for at least 2 years. I wouldn't say it reduced my hair loss If anything, it increased it but this is most likely due to me getting older (almost 26 now).

I tried to add whole cereals with little success.
I tried to switch coffee for green tea with little success.
I tried to stop both green tea and coffee with little success.
Each of the three experiments mentioned above lasted at least 3 months so idk their value.

I am now trying to add diary products.

Just wanted to share my experience. I think unless you are having severe deficiencies, changing your diet will not substantially impact your hair loss but yeah, it's good in general.

Get your blood tested for deficiencies guys.

of course it depends of personal status, i was just encouraging to investigate personal needs...as a user said above, people tend to neglect how much impact a diet can have on personal micronutrients lacks

Dairy will increase hormones and green tea increases DHT

Changing our diet has been successful for some people, even those who didn't have defiencies. Those claming regrowth and stop of hair loss are mostly those who don't eat meat/fish and who avoid both tea and coffee (or who drink A LOT of both) Also worth noting that many doctors claim veggies are almost useless compared to fruits so make sure you eat a lot more fruits than veggies.

sadly though, there's studies out there saying the fruits you get at the supermarket are trash... foods looked totally different before we started modifying them for food

tea indeed increases dht in small quantity, but decreases dht in large quantity.

Ray Peat even said the reason his hair loss been stable for decades is because he drinks 40 cups of tea/coffee per day. Personally, I wouldn't be able to drink that much tea lol

Every petrol station or small convenience shop Is full of the same shite.. 10am is sausages, bacon, pudding,, all hormone riddled animal fat. Then the shelves are packed full of sugar laden crap.

Isn't that just because of rapid weight loss? Getting proper nutrition is harder on keto as well.

Ray Peat says a lot of interesting things, like the danger of pufa and vegetable oils

But Ray Peat says a LOT of sh*t too, like drinking 1 liter orange juice per day, drinking several liter of milk per day, eating lot of starch and grains, which are know to be incredibly inflammatory for the human body...

Ray peat says estrogen is the mainly culprit of male pattern baldness and DHT has nothing to do with it LOL
