Sandalore - Chemical Used In Perfumes To Mimic Sandalwood Triggers Growth?

As an append to the previous post...

I've been using at 5% for a few months now along with my usual cocktail of minoxidil+other crap. Noticed that hair in general is much thicker and growing quicker. I had a heavy shed start about a month ago that has tapered off (which I get every year or so) however whereas normally the shed hairs are long but 90% thin/10% thick the situation is now reversed at 10% thin/90% thick.

So basically no new hairs from it but if you're using minoxidil it will probably help, the patent goes up to 10% but the smell is quite strong at 5% and I usually make sure put it on one hour before I leave the house in the morning for the smell to dissipate.

I'm waiting to see what happens in the next 2-3 months when the shed hairs should start to regrow.

I'm beating a dead horse here. but what the hell would be the explanation that Sandalore worked at first for some of us, and then it stopped working?? An onslaught of DHT? Was it a placebo effect, where eventually nature told our brains F U, your hair's coming off anyway? it was heartbreaking to see all the wonderful new hair that actually grew out, fall out after 2 months.

Hi,

I've been putting 10ml of Sandalore into 450g of Vanicream (2.2%) for about 7 months now.
At the start it sprouted a few baby hairs but then they never grew out in full..

Although, the use of Sandalore/Vanicream mixture has definitely given me maintenance.
I started this regimen because I was desperate and dutasteride and finasteride was not cutting it.

I did notice an immediate reduction in shedding in the first 2 weeks from about 55 noticeable hairs a day to about 20.
My hair density has not decreased since I've started this regimen, whereas with dutasteride and finasteride every month I could notice my head thinning.

Even though sandalore has given me no side effects.. one of my worries definitely is that how safe Sandalore is, now I think about it, it sorta seems crazy that I've been putting an untested chemical into my hair...

Regards,
Nick

Isn't Sandalore a very highly used chemical? I don't think it's that unsafe. And great news, you're getting better results than with fina or duta? Great

It is very good news, I have tried everything and this is the only thing that gave me the results I wanted - maintenance.
I was also surprised by how fast it started working..

I am aware it's a highly used chemical in perfumes/air fresheners but it is not a highly used chemical in products that absorb into your body....

Any perfume applied to the skin will be absorbed into the body. Many of them contain toxic ingredients. Even water absorbs into skin. Some people use a special shower head to prevent chlorine, fluoride and other chemicals from entering the bloodstream.

Dr. Mercola also has an interesting article about Sandalore:

You could try Zix:

well you just scared me to completely stop sandalore.. but honestly from my experience sides from minoxidil were way worse than sandalore, i feel minoxidil is even more toxic and people apply it anyway

The fact that Sandalore is commonly used in perfumes shouldn't confort anyone but rather worry them to the max. Most perfumes and cosmetics are toxic carcinogens, and it's very telling how every year thousands of famous perfume brands are forced by IFRA to reformulate their iconic perfumes. You can enjoy reading the comments left by frustrated perfume aficionados expressing their anger on perfume forums like fragrantica, comparing old vintage bottles to newer reformulated versions that lack potency.
Would be great though to have nice smelling hair, especially after an onion juice treatment :D What to do what to do, grrrrrrr....

PS: I usually spray perfumes on my clothes rather than directly on the skin. Win win.

Nope, I'm going to try zix now and see how that goes. Maybe I'll put some sandalore in it too. So far we have some anecdotal evidence from members here that sandalore does something.

Weren't you trying a bunch of stuff including topical finasteride? So nothing you've tried so far is working?

No I was only microneedling the last 6 months, without minoxidil, etc. No benefits so far.

Sorry, I mistook you for another member here. Was also wondering if microneedling alone could deliver results but apparently not. So you haven't noticed any new hairs sprouting or a reduction in shedding the past 6 months?

For those that it seems to work on, can you say how many drops you're putting into your lotions. It seemed people were lowering the strength to just a few drops per 100ml but now nick123 is getting maintenance with a 2.2% cream, which seems pretty high.

studies are at 1% or 20 drops (50 µL x 20) per every 100mL of vehicle

Hey guys, so if I understand correctly the IGF-1 receptors are blocked in hair follicles that are prone to hair loss. Sandalore will open them up again making IGF-1 able to get to the follicles again.

What if you could increase IGF-1 levels by say 80% using a supplement. Turns out you can, although the supplement is not legal depending on country because of anti doping laws.

Maybe even combine with derma rolling because this supplement will also increase GH-levels and it helps with skin regeneration. Users are reporting nice skin and hair from the supplement.

Can anyone confirm this? Or find a resource to confirm this?
I'd happily see if taking IGF-1 somehow will help especially since I am using Sandalore.

Kind Regards,
Nick

Every study on the topic has shown that we want to increase IGF-1 on the scalp without increasing it systematically. The latter has been linked to increased hairloss.
